There are a lot of things that leave a lasting impression on one's mind.
Zyra, this na was similarly deeply-rooted in my mind.
A blurry mory replayed in my head.
-It was your usual sunny day. As I was sitting at my desk, overthinking my fantasies, a transfer student nad Zyra entered our class. Her looks, her soft voice, her silliness, I was instantly bewitched by her.
With that attractive face, I knew she was bound to have many suitors.
To make matters worse, the social and financial differences between our families were too great for to make a move on her.
My life-goal at that ti was pretty simple: sohow pass high school and get a regular job while earning enough to live my old life comfortably.
My grades were already bad to begin with.
I knew if I spent my ti pursuing her, then even getting out of school would be impossible.
Sitting at the back-bench, I could only admire her from afar. I knew just like the river water and sea water that never mix together, we two belonged to two different worlds.
Even after graduating from school, I could never forget that enchanting face of hers.
Earlier, I may have said I had no regrets before transmigratingbut inwardly, I knew I was not being honest.

-I didn't dare make any eye-contact lest I unknowingly provoke her.
Bowing a little half-heartedly, I spoke in my politest tone.
Shao, being the sect master's only friend, was too, inherently arrogant.
She was satisfied with Shenshah's respectful attitude.
"Lately, your sectmaster has been cursing you repeatedly. By luck, I eavesdropped that she plans to send one of her undercover agents to harm you", Shao's voice didn't have the slightest fluctuation as she blatantly sold out her friend, telling how fickle and plastic the relationship between the two was.
She wanted to see how the reaction of this boy will be, and she wasn't disappointed~

I couldn't help but curse her loudly in my head.
'Sure enough, no one associated with that sect master is normal!'

Even after looking everywhere, I wasn't able to find Xenia's earrings. I knew Xenia will be sad upon losing them.

the surprise and regret brought by rembering Zyra, sadness that Xenia will be disheartened upon learning that her mother's earrings might be lost, the urge to beat the sect master for plotting behind my back, and not to forget this proud woman's shaless behaviour of openly coveting my ring.

I took a deep breath as the sincerity on my face returned.
Looking at obediently taking out the ring from my pocket, Shao's eyes shone with greed.
Her pupils dilated as she saw the real stuff.
'Yes, this is definitely a treasure!'
Shao moved her left hand closer to accept the ring.
But I was waiting for this.
"It's so sad that the fingers of a beauty like you are empty!"
Under her bewildered eyes, I quickly held her left hand and instantly put the ring on her ring finger.
