I vividly rember the first ti my book hit the shelves at the beginning of 2017, when my submission unexpectedly passed the contract review, and I boldly decided to write full-ti.

Back then, because there was no computer at my parents’ ho, I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to write if I went back, so I stayed alone in a tiny 10-square- ter rental in Wenzhou, typing away. It was very cold at the beginning of that year, and I assured my parents that I would receive the manuscript fee at the beginning of the month, but the first month’s paynt of over a thousand was delayed, and I didn’t get it. At that ti, I only had about a hundred yuan on . Being in an unfamiliar place and afraid of telling my parents—they might think I had been scamd by the website and disagree with my decision to write full-ti—I stayed there.

So during the New Year, just having turned 19,1 survived on instant noodles and oatal, typing out my story while hearing the laughter and slling the delicious at cooking next door, nearly crying out of envy… I spent those ten- plus challenging days with no sense of hardship or fatigue, filled with motivation, because living off writing novels was my childhood dream!

Fortunately, stumbling along, I persevered to this day. By this year, I can’t even rember how many tis I’ve put new books on the shelves, but I still get nervous every ti and can’t sleep.

Tomorrow at noon, the book will go live, and I’ll first update three chapters (a 16,000-word section, as I really don’t have any drafts saved). If I can hit 5,000 initial orders, then this book will be updated with at least 10,000 words every day until it’s finished!
