"Chaos Sword Technique: Guardian!"

A gray sword curtain instantly unfolded, like a swirling gray vortex, blocking the surging black miasma from outside!

Screech—!!!

The piercing sound of corrosion echoed incessantly, the gray sword curtain trembled violently, its brilliance fading visibly! Luo Qingchen, already exhausted from using his chaotic power, was almost completely drained while resisting the miasma that rivaled a full-strength interdiate Golden Core assault!

Pfft!

Luo Qingchen couldn’t suppress it any longer and spat out a mouthful of blood, his face pale as paper, staggering back a step, and the sword curtain dissipated!

"Brother Luo!" Lin Wan’er and Su Xiaowan exclaid simultaneously!

Watching helplessly as the residual miasma threatened to engulf the three of them!

At this critical mont, an unexpected change occurred!

Bai Ling’er, who had been carried on Lin Wan’er’s back in a coma, seed to react strongly to the intense Yin Fiend aura, or perhaps a drop of Luo Qingchen’s spattered blood reached her, causing the previously dim and lifeless Nine Revolutions Soul Revival Grass on her brow to suddenly emit a faint, yet extraordinarily pure, golden light!

Simultaneously, an elusive, yet overwhelmingly majestic and ancient dragon aura spread out like a pebble thrown into a calm lake, centered on Bai Ling’er!

This dragon aura was not powerful, even extrely weak, but its essence reached an unimaginably high level!

The previously ferocious and crazily charging blackwater fiends instantly froze upon encountering this dragon aura! For the first ti, terror appeared in their crimson eyes! It was a primal fear from deep within their bloodline, facing an apex predator!

Roar... Whimper...

The previously roaring fierce beasts now let out low whimpers, akin to a small dog’s whine, their massive bodies trembling in fear, not daring to advance, instead scrambling to turn around and plunge back into the murky waters deep within, vanishing without a trace in an instant as if they’d never appeared!

The pervasive black miasma, swept away by this weak dragon aura, quickly dissipated as if it had t its nesis.

The swamp returned to its dead silence.

Only Luo Qingchen, Lin Wan’er, and Su Xiaowan remained, staring in shock at the scene.

"What... what just happened?" Su Xiaowan rubbed her eyes, looking in the direction the beasts fled, then at Bai Ling’er still unconscious on Lin Wan’er’s back, her brow montarily flashing with golden light, her mouth agape enough to fit an egg, "Did... did Ling’er scare them off?"

Lin Wan’er, equally shocked and incredulous, could clearly feel that the oppressive aura which scared off the beasts did indeed emanate from Bai Ling’er! Though extrely weak, the soul-deep regal might induced a palpitation even in an observer like her!

"It’s... the Dragon Soul..." Luo Qingchen clutched his chest, gasping for breath, his eyes filled with astonishnt. He had sensed it once before in the Star Do Illusion Realm, but not as clearly as this ti. It was undoubtedly the aura of a True Dragon Soul! Though only a trace, it was enough to intimidate these lowly swamp beasts!

It seems Bai Linger’s hidden secrets were far more astonishing than he had imagined!

However, now wasn’t the ti to delve deeply into this.

"We must leave here quickly," Luo Qingchen urged, struggling to steady himself, "While that commotion scared off those beasts, it may attract other trouble. We must find a safe place to recover quickly."

Lin Wan’er nodded, swiftly supporting the shaky Luo Qingchen, while Su Xiaowan hurriedly stepped forward to help.

The three assisted each other, swiftly heading to the small hill covered in dark purple vines.

Upon stepping on the hill’s ground, the footing imdiately felt firm and dry, and the foul stench significantly dissipated, although the spiritual energy remained sparse, it was considerably less oppressive than the swamp.

The hill was densely covered with those peculiar dark purple vines, which unfurled minute, glowing purple flowers, decorating the hill with a touch of eeriness.

"This place seems... a bit safer," Su Xiaowan sighed in relief, but still vigilantly surveyed her surroundings.

Luo Qingchen’s divine sense swept across the hill and discovered a cave partially concealed by vines on the shady side.

"Over there."

The three carefully parted the vines and entered the cave. Though small, it was dry inside, empty, appearing to be a naturally ford cavity.

"Finally a place to rest," Lin Wan’er gently put down Bai Ling’er, resting her against the stone wall, then took out several healing pills and handed them to Luo Qingchen, "Brother Luo, quickly heal."

Luo Qingchen nodded, took the pills and swallowed them, sitting cross-legged, starting to operate the Chaos Technique, laboriously absorbing the sparse and chaotic spiritual energy around, repairing damaged ridians and replenishing spent strength.

Lin Wan’er also sat alongside, operating the Heavenly Essence Technique, while allocating a portion of her mind to remain alert.

Su Xiaowan curiously examined the cave and the dark purple vines outside, "These vines are so strange, they’re glowing." She reached out to touch a vine dangling at the cave entrance.

"Don’t touch!" Luo Qingchen suddenly opened his eyes, sharply admonishing.

Startled, Su Xiaowan swiftly withdrew her hand, "Wh-why?"
