Capítulo 1912: Chapter 943: The Energy-Drained Turtle Shell! Heavenly Sword Sect?

“Mm!” Su Xiaowan nodded vigorously, carefully wrapping the turtle shell in a clean cloth, and hid it on her person, as if afraid that it might run away with soone again.

The three of them found a hidden cave nearby, with a stream flowing past its entrance, ensuring a stable water supply. Luo Qingchen set up a few simple alert and concealnt formations at the cave entrance. Though simple, they were sufficient to deal with any potential demonic beasts and low-level cultivators in the area.

Lin Wan’er settled Bai Ling’er on the dry grass the were laid inside the cave and carefully checked her condition. The leaves of the Nine Revolutions Soul Revival Grass were still dim, but seed to have stabilized, showing no further signs of wilting. Bai Ling’er’s breathing was long and steady, and the Dragon Soul aura within her had completely withdrawn, as if she had fallen into a deeper sleep.

“Ling’er’s condition is very stable, and the environnt here seems not to repel her.” Lin Wan’er relaxed.

Luo Qingchen nodded, sat cross-legged, and began to use the Chaos Technique to absorb the surrounding nature’s spiritual energy to restore himself. The familiar spiritual energy flowed into his ridians, though not as pure as that of the alien star, its vastness and grandeur quickly rged with his Chaotic Power, transforming it. After the trials of the Returning Ruins and the alien star, he could feel that his Chaos Origin was not only more condensed, but also more attuned and efficient at transforming nature’s spiritual energy, elevating not just one level. The power was swiftly returning.

Lin Wan’er also sat down beside him and used the Heavenly Essence Technique. To her surprise, in this primordial mountain forest, her Wood Spirit Power was unusually active, as if a fish return to water, recovering at an extraordinary speed.

Su Xiaowan did not have any advanced cultivation technique, but imitating the others, she absorbed spiritual energy while muttering over an old talisman booklet, seemingly researching so new fortune… oh no, life-saving thod.

The cave fell into silence, with only the sound of their steady breathing and the trickling water outside.

Ti passed slowly in this peaceful recovery.

About two days later, Luo Qingchen was the first to open his eyes, a glint of sharpness flashing across them. His Chaotic Power had almost fully recovered, even vaguely showing signs of breaking through his original realm. Lin Wan’er also awakened shortly after, her aura much more harmonious. Su Xiaowan… well, she was sleeping soundly, with a hint of drool on the corner of her mouth.

“I’m going to scout the surroundings and determine our position.” Luo Qingchen stood up and said to Lin Wan’er, “You stay here and stay vigilant.”

“Be careful, Brother Luo.” Lin Wan’er advised.

Luo Qingchen nodded, his figure flickering as he silently left the cave.

He moved like a shadow through the forest, swiftly weaving between the mountains. His divine sense fully expanded, carefully distinguishing the mountain and river features, comparing them to the map in his mory. This mountain range was vast and its terrain sowhat unfamiliar compared to any known place, obviously a remote and poorly mapped area.

“Hmm?”

As Luo Qingchen flew over a gorge, his brows slightly furrowed.

He halted, landing on the side of the cliff, his sharp gaze sweeping downward.

The bottom of the gorge bore traces of battle!

Several large trees had been cut in half, the cuts smooth, clearly made by sharp weapons. There were several deep gouges on the ground, remnants of violent spiritual power fluctuations, and a few patches of dark red blood that had not yet dried completely.

Judging from the residual spiritual power fluctuations, both sides of the battle were quite strong, having at least Foundation Establishnt Refining Stage strength, possibly even involving a Golden Core Initial Realm cultivator. Moreover, a trace of familiar spiritual power gave Luo Qingchen a sense of elusive familiarity.

He carefully discerned this familiar aura… cold, sinister, with an uncomfortable stickiness.

“Is it… soone from the Xuanyin Sect?” Luo Qingchen’s gaze narrowed slightly.

The Xuanyin Sect, a second-tier Demon Sect in their region, acted secretively and ruthlessly, never on good terms with prominent sects like theirs. However, the Xuanyin Sect’s mountain gate was remarkably distant from this area. How could their people appear in the depths of this desolate, prival mountain range? And fighting fiercely here?

A hint of caution arose in Luo Qingchen’s heart. He did not rashly go down to investigate, instead, concealing his presence and carefully condensing his divine sense into a thin line, probing into the depths of the gorge.

Soon, his divine sense captured several moving figures.

Five people, all dressed in the distinctive black robes of the Xuanyin Sect, bore light or heavy wounds and were moving quickly downstream along the gorge, appearing sowhat bedraggled.

Leading them was a middle-aged man with a sinister face, possessing Golden Core Initial Realm cultivation, his aura slightly chaotic. While vigilantly scanning the surroundings, he was issuing low orders to his subordinates.

“…Damn it! Who would’ve thought those Heavenly Sword Sect guys had such sharp noses and chased us all the way here!”

“Elder, what do we do now? If the news about that ‘thing’ leaks…”

“Shut up! The thing is still with us. As long as we can shake them off and return to the sect, it would be a great achievent! Signal the nearby responders to speed up!”

“But Elder, those Heavenly Sword Sect guys…”

“Hmph, they’re also injured and won’t dare to pursue too closely! Speed up, there should be a sect setup transmission array not far ahead!”

The fragnted conversation reached Luo Qingchen’s ears, causing his heart to leap!

Heavenly Sword Sect?

Isn’t that one of the three major Righteous Path sects, on par with their Qingyun Sect, a sword cultivation sect? People from the Xuanyin Sect had a conflict with those of the Heavenly Sword Sect here? And it seems to involve so important “thing”?

Moreover, the startling revelation that Xuanyin Sect had installed a transmission array in this remote mountain raised alarm bells! This was abnormal!

Luo Qingchen did not disturb them, stealthily retreating before quickly returning to the cave.

“What happened, Brother Luo?” Lin Wan’er imdiately asked upon seeing his serious expression.

Luo Qingchen briefly recounted his findings.

“Xuanyin Sect? Heavenly Sword Sect? How did they end up fighting here?” Lin Wan’er’s brows furrowed deeply, “And Xuanyin Sect even set up a transmission array here?”

“I don’t know.” Luo Qingchen shook his head, “But the situation might be more complicated than we thought. The Xuanyin Sect’s presence here is no coincidence. The ‘thing’ they ntioned, if it warrants such a chase from the Heavenly Sword Sect, must be sothing extraordinary.”

“What… what should we do?” Su Xiaowan, who had woken up, asked with her face turning pale, “Could they find us?”

“Our landing spot is quite hidden, so for now, we should be safe.” Luo Qingchen pondered, “But we can’t stay here long. If the Xuanyin Sect has a transmission array, it ans they might have reinforcents. Since the Heavenly Sword Sect is in pursuit, this place is likely unsafe.”

He looked toward the outside of the cave, his gaze profound: “We must leave here quickly and find a safe route back to the sect. But, as things stand, the outside world may not be peaceful either.”

At that mont, a sudden sense of danger surged in Luo Qingchen’s mind!

He abruptly looked up toward the upper slant of the cave!

Almost simultaneously, an extrely obscure yet fiercely deadly sword qi, like a serpent erging from its hole, silently pierced through the rudintary formations he had set up, aiming straight into the cave!

The target was none other than the just-awoken-and-still-groggy Su Xiaowan!

Shi!

The sword qi sliced through the air, like a cot, carrying an aura of fierce sharpness that seed capable of severing everything!

This sword qi appeared extrely abruptly, without any prior sign, clearly indicating that the assailant had an exceptional concealnt skill and timing awareness, perfectly choosing the mont when Luo Qingchen was ntally stirred and Su Xiaowan was still bleary-eyed!

“Xiaowan!”

Lin Wan’er exclaid, instinctively pulling Su Xiaowan behind her, while quickly forming a hand seal with her right hand, instantly condensing a Green Vine Shield in front of them!

However, the sword qi was just too fast and too fierce!
