Immortality Cultivation: I Can increase My Stats Using Clansmen's Qi-Blood Chapter 1879 - 927: Star Core?
Although Su Xiaowan was still a little scared, seeing that Senior Brother Luo and Sister Wan’er had already made their decision, she could only muster her courage and say, "Alright, alright, let’s go! But rember, if there’s any danger, Senior Brother Luo, you have to be the first to step up!"
Luo Qingchen was amused by her straightforward words, but he couldn’t bring himself to laugh at the mont. He just nodded, "Don’t worry, I’ll protect you all."
After a brief discussion, the three of them stopped hesitating. Although Luo Qingchen’s injuries were not fully healed, he had regained most of his combat strength. He once again took the lead, with Chaotic Power on high alert and his perception fully activated. Lin Wan’er held Bai Ling’er closely and followed right behind, ready to assist at any mont. Su Xiaowan, clutching a few Defense Talismans, cautiously trailed behind, her small head constantly turning left and right, alert to any sudden movents.
The closer they got to the central area, the stronger the ancient and vast aura in the air beca, yet it was mixed with a subtle sense of fear and unease originating from the unknown entity. This reassured Luo Qingchen slightly, as it at least proved that the residual power of the Dragon Soul was still present.
The pale blue crystalline ground underfoot also beca purer, reflecting starlight more clearly, as if they were stepping on a true river of stars. The surrounding Crystal Stone Pillars grew taller and denser, with the flowing starlight on them becoming even more radiant, faintly forming so kind of mysterious Formation pattern.
After about an hour, they finally made their way through the dense forest of crystal pillars and reached the core area of this Underground Star Do.
The scene before them caused all three to hold their breath once again.
In front of them was an enormous circular platform. The platform was made entirely of a pale blue crystal that was purer and more transparent than the ground. Its surface was as smooth as a mirror, and inside seed to hold a moving nebula, emitting gentle yet powerful energy waves.
At the very center of the platform hovered a massive, irregularly shaped Crystal Stone about the size of a house!
This Crystal Stone was precisely the vague silhouette they had seen from afar earlier!
It was a deep, dark blue all over, with its surface covered in countless naturally ford, star-trail-like golden patterns. These patterns flowed slowly, seemingly containing the profound truth of the universe’s birth and death. Inside the Crystal Stone, countless points of light could be vaguely seen floating and dissipating, like a miniature universe Star Core!
An indescribable, ancient and vast aura emanated from this "Star Core," grand and majestic, yet carrying a sense of deathly stillness and fatigue after countless ages.
At present, this "Star Core," which should have exuded supre majesty, had dimd and disordered golden patterns on its surface, even slightly trembling, as if still imrsed in the fear brought by the Dragon Soul.
"What... what is this thing?" Su Xiaowan stared in amazent, "Such a big blue gemstone! If only I could chip off a piece..."
"Don’t talk nonsense!" Lin Wan’er quickly covered her mouth, fearing her words might disturb the seemingly dormant "Star Core." Although it appeared "timid" now, who knew if it would suddenly lash out?
Luo Qingchen’s gaze was fixated on the massive "Star Core," his eyes filled with shock. He could feel that this "Star Core" seed to be the energy source for the entire Underground Star Do, and the core that maintained everything’s operation here! The energy it contained was unimaginably vast, even surpassing any Spirit Vein or Treasure he had seen before!
At the sa ti, he finally understood that the cold, indifferent will he sensed earlier, overlooking all beings, originated from this "Star Core." It seed to be an exceedingly special existence, straddling the line between life and non-life, possessing an ancient consciousness akin to "Artifact Spirit" or "Earth Spirit."
And now, this "Star Core’s" consciousness was evidently filled with vigilance and... an inescapable fear toward them.
Luo Qingchen attempted to use Chaotic Power to perceive the internal structure of the "Star Core," seeking clues for a Transmission Array. However, as soon as his perception touched the surface of the "Star Core," it was repelled by a gentle yet irresistible force.
Though the "Star Core" feared the Dragon Soul, its own defense chanisms remained active, preventing external forces from easily probing.
"What now? Senior Brother Luo? It seems like it’s not letting us approach." Su Xiaowan was sowhat anxious.
Luo Qingchen frowned slightly, his gaze sweeping over the massive "Star Core" and the platform it was on. He noticed that along the edge of the platform were twelve evenly distributed smaller grooves, each of which had a unique shape, seemingly ant for placing a specific item.
"Keyholes?" Su Xiaowan imdiately recalled the previous door-opening experience, "Could it be that we need keys to activate sothing here as well?"
Luo Qingchen approached one of the grooves and examined it closely. The inside of the groove was also covered with intricate patterns, faintly connected to the golden patterns on the "Star Core’s" surface and the energy veins on the platform. He attempted to probe the groove with Chaotic Power, and this ti it wasn’t repelled, but the groove didn’t react either, as if lacking a necessary dium.
"Perhaps." Luo Qingchen mused, "These twelve grooves might very well be key nodes for activating so function."
"Then what are the keys? It can’t be that stone that turned into an eyeball, right?" Su Xiaowan scratched her head.
Luo Qingchen’s eyes flickered slightly, recalling the Crystal Stone Pillar he and Lin Wan’er had destroyed earlier. He retrieved several larger, relatively intact fragnts of pale blue crystal from his Storage Ring.
