Capítulo 1856: Chapter 915: An Exceedingly Terrifying Existence?

“Roar——!”

A dragon’s roar, seemingly from the ancient primordial tis, echoed through the heavens and earth! This dragon’s roar was filled with anger and majesty, as if reprimanding so form of desecration!

Under this dragon’s roar, the space constraints imposed by the Tomb Guardian shattered like fragile glass, piece by piece!

Luo Qingchen and the other two felt a sudden lightness all over, their bindings completely gone!

“Hmm?” On the Tomb Guardian’s void-like face, two scarlet lights flickered slightly in apparent surprise, “Dragon Clan? No… it’s the aura of the Ancestor Dragon? How is this possible? Wasn’t the Ancestor Dragon long since…”

Before he could finish his sentence, the grand dragon power bursting from Bai Ling’er did not dissipate but instead coalesced into a vague, towering golden dragon shadow, spiraling above her!

Though the dragon shadow was vague, it emitted a terrifying pressure that made all things submit, even the Nine Nether Yin Energy retreated before it! Its gaze, cold and majestic, transcended ti and space and fell upon the Tomb Guardian!

The Tomb Guardian, once holding a high and mighty posture, involuntarily trembled at the instant of eting this gaze! On that pitch-black void face, for the first ti appeared… fear?!

“Ancestor… Ancestor Dragon’s remnant soul?! How… how do you have that on you…” The Tomb Guardian’s voice revealed panic for the first ti.

“Begone!”

A grand, authoritative voice, like the edict of heaven and earth, exploded in the depths of the Tomb Guardian’s soul!

“Pfft!” The Tomb Guardian felt as if struck by a massive blow, his newly solidified form shuddered violently, and the Nine Nether’s origin Yin Energy surrounding him dispersed significantly as the two scarlet lights dimd.

He looked in horror at the terrifying golden dragon shadow above Bai Ling’er’s head, then glanced at the Nine Revolutions Soul Revival Grass leaf in Luo Qingchen’s hand, seemingly realizing sothing. His eyes filled with resentnt and dread.

But ultimately, he dared not linger any longer. His form turned into a black smoke, instantly plunging into the pit in the center of the altar, disappearing without a trace, leaving behind a venomous and threatening ssage echoing in the air:

“Dragon Clan… Nine Revolutions Soul Revival… good, very good! When I return in full force, I’ll ensure your annihilation and reclaim everything!”

With the Tomb Guardian’s disappearance, the suffocating pressure dissipated like smoke. The golden dragon shadow above Bai Ling’er’s head gave Luo Qingchen a deep look, seemingly conveying a ssage, before slowly dissipating and re-entering the mark on Bai Ling’er’s forehead.

Bai Ling’er’s body trembled slightly, letting out a soft moan, as she gradually opened her eyes, though her gaze remained sowhat bewildered.

The platform returned to a dead silence.

Luo Qingchen, Lin Wan’er, and Su Xiaowan exchanged glances, all shaken, their backs soaked with cold sweat.

Everything that had just happened felt like a dream.

“Wha… what was that just now?” Su Xiaowan stamred, “That dark guy seed really afraid of Sister Bai Ling’er?”

Luo Qingchen gazed at the newly awakened and bewildered Bai Ling’er, recalling the terrifying golden dragon shadow and the roar, his heart churning with turbulence.

Ancestor Dragon’s remnant soul? Could it be that within Bai Ling’er resides a wisp of the legendary Dragon Clan’s ancestral soul? And the Nine Revolutions Soul Revival Grass leaf inadvertently activated it?

This possibility left him utterly stunned.

“Let’s not worry about it for now, it’s too dangerous to linger here any longer, we must leave imdiately!” Luo Qingchen suppressed his doubts and shock, knowing it wasn’t the ti to investigate further. Although the Tomb Guardian had retreated temporarily, who knew if he would return, or if other dangers lurked.

“Mm mm!” Lin Wan’er and Su Xiaowan nodded repeatedly.

“Luo… Young Master Luo?” Bai Ling’er’s voice was still weak as she rubbed her forehead, seemingly having no mory of what transpired, “What… what happened to ? Weren’t we…”

“We’ll talk about it later.” Luo Qingchen supported her, “Your injuries haven’t healed, don’t think too much for now.”

Without further hesitation, he quickly led the three of them away from the eerie altar platform, maneuvering hastily down the rugged mountain path they had taken towards the base of the black mountain peak.

They dared not pause for a mont, pushing their speed to the limit.

Not until they had entirely left the black mountain’s range and stepped once more onto the desolate wasteland did the persistent sense of impending danger slightly ease.

Finding a relatively secluded spot, they set up a simple formation for alertness, finally able to catch their breath.

“Phew… finally out!” Su Xiaowan plopped onto the ground, utterly exhausted, “This Nine Nether journey, it’s more tiring than cultivating for a hundred years!”

Lin Wan’er, drenched in fragrant sweat, rested against a rock, glanced at the now dim blue mark on her wrist, and at the Nine Revolutions Soul Revival Grass leaf carefully kept by Luo Qingchen, her heart filled with complex emotions. Though perilous, their mission, with life hanging by a thread, yielded trendous gains.

Luo Qingchen checked Bai Ling’er’s injuries, finding her recovery better than expected—though still weak, her essence was stable and her life out of danger, needing only rest for recovery. It seed the brief awakening of the Ancestor Dragon’s remnant soul not only repelled the formidable enemy but also greatly benefited her.

He handed her a Healing Pill, then gazed into the distant dim horizon, his brow slightly frowning.

For so reason, despite leaving the eerie black peak, the unease within him hadn’t vanished entirely. It felt as though an unseen pair of eyes was coldly watching them from so corner of the Nine Netherlands.

Was it the escaped Tomb Guardian? Or does the Nine Netherlands hide more unknown terrors?

It seed ensuring a smooth exit from this deadly land might not be so simple. The hidden currents had only just begun to surge.

The piercing Yin wind swept across the desolate wasteland, raising no dust, only spreading a bone-chilling chill and a profound sense of dead silence. The four had just escaped from the heart-pounding black mountain peak, now finding temporary shelter behind jagged rocks to take a brief respite.

“Oh my goodness! It scared to death, truly scared to death!” Once danger was averted, Su Xiaowan’s tense nerves abruptly unwound, leaving her collapsing weakly to the ground, her face pale, continually patting her chest with a voice on the verge of tears, “I swear, never in this life—or the next, or the one after—do I wish to return to this godforsaken place! What a wretched grass, nearly cost my life! Boohoo, my youth, my beauty nearly ended in this desolate dump…”

As she wailed, she covertly glanced at the luminous, softly glowing leaf within Luo Qingchen’s embrace, eyes brimming with curiosity and… envy. Despite the shocking ordeal, the treasure appeared exceptional.

Lin Wan’er softly exhaled, leaning against the cold rock, fine beads of sweat lingering on her forehead. She glanced at the noisy Su Xiaowan, shaking her head helplessly before moving to Bai Ling’er’s side, asking with concern, “Bai Ling’er, how are you feeling?”

By now much clearer, Bai Ling’er still appeared pale, her eyes filled with a trace of bewildernt and frailty. Luo Qingchen had carefully placed her on a relatively flat stone, covering her with his cloak.

“I’m… I’m okay.” She shook her head gently, her voice weak, “Young Master Luo, Sister Lin, Sister Xiaowan, did we… make it out? What happened before?”

She rembered being gravely injured by the giant serpent before losing consciousness, waking to a world seemingly turned upside down, an extrely terrifying presence, and… an aura so majestic it stirred her very soul.

But the specifics remained blurry, like shrouded in thick fog.

Luo Qingchen stood at the edge of the jagged rocks, his gaze wary as it scanned the dimly lit, deathly silent wasteland around them.

Although temporarily shedding the terrifying entity self-proclaid as “Tomb Guardian,” the unease within him lingered.
