Chapter 1656: Chapter 815: Spiritual Beast Injured, Searching for Midnight Spirit Grass

The man in red frowned upon hearing Luo Chen’s words; he hadn’t expected Luo Chen to be so resolute.

He gestured to his n to surround Luo Chen.

“Do you think this will stop us? Kid, you’re too naive,” the man in red sneered.

Luo Chen looked around, knowing he must stay calm.

The man in red waved his hand, directly summoning three small Spirit Swords from his storage ring.

The Spirit Swords floated in mid-air, controlled by him.

Previously, he couldn’t overpower this kid standing before him, but that didn’t matter.

This ti, with the empowernt of the three Spirit Swords.

This kid is surely dood.

Luo Chen looked at the three Spirit Swords, understanding that this opponent was more troubleso than before.

He took a deep breath, adjusting his state to prepare for an even more challenging battle.

The man in red smirked coldly, controlling the swords to draw fierce trajectories in the air, attacking Luo Chen.

Luo Chen’s agile movents dodged the attacks while seeking opportunities to counter. He knew being hit by those Spirit Swords would lead to dire consequences.

In the midst of battle, Luo Chen noticed that although the man in red could manipulate the Spirit Swords, his control seed imperfect.

He decided to exploit this, attempting to use Swordsmanship to guide the swords’ attack directions to make them collide with each other.

The man in red’s face turned even gloomier upon seeing this.

He realized Luo Chen’s Swordsmanship and combat wit far exceeded his expectations.

He started focusing more intently on controlling the Spirit Swords, seeking to break through Luo Chen’s defenses.

Luo Chen gradually found his rhythm in dodging and countering, using his speed and agility to weave through the attacks, looking for an opening to retaliate.

Finally, at a mont when the Spirit Swords collided, Luo Chen seized the opportunity and thrust his sword towards the man in red.

The man in red was taken aback, quickly retreating, but he was a step too slow; Luo Chen’s sword tip grazed his arm, leaving a trail of blood.

The man in red winced from the pain, but rather than giving up, he grew even angrier.

“Darn you, kid! You really piss off!” the man in red roared, once again directing the Spirit Swords at Luo Chen.

This ti, he held nothing back, going all out.

Luo Chen knew the battle had reached a critical mont.

He focused all of his energy, unleashing his Swordsmanship to the fullest, engaging in a life-and-death struggle with the man in red.

In the valley, Sword Qi crisscrossed as the Spirit Swords and Longsword clashed endlessly.

Ultimately, after one clever Sword Move, Luo Chen managed to knock down all three Spirit Swords belonging to the man in red.

The man in red watched in shock as his Spirit Swords scattered to the ground, realizing he had lost.

“You win, kid,” the man in red said with gritted teeth, then quickly retreated with his n, vanishing into the night.

Watching their retreating silhouettes, Luo Chen let out a long breath, the tension in his heart gradually dissipating.

He checked his injuries, finding so superficial wounds but nothing severe.

He sheathed his sword and continued towards the Alliance.

As night deepened, the chill in the valley began to seep into Luo Chen’s body.

He quickened his pace, hoping to return to the Alliance swiftly and deliver the midnight Spirit Grass to the veterinarian to help the weakened Blood-Horned Deer.

Finally, at the first light of dawn, Luo Chen saw the Alliance’s banner.

He hastened his steps, filled with anticipation and relief.

When he entered the Alliance’s territory, Qing Shuang was already there, waiting anxiously.

“Luo Chen, you finally returned!” Qing Shuang saw Luo Chen’s figure and hurriedly approached.

Luo Chen smiled and nodded, retrieving the midnight Spirit Grass from his dicine pouch to hand to Qing Shuang, “I found it. This should help the Blood-Horned Deer.”

Qing Shuang took the Spirit Grass, eyes filled with gratitude, “It should still be in ti.”

Luo Chen gently patted Qing Shuang’s shoulder, “Alright, let’s hurry.”

Qing Shuang nodded, and the two proceeded to the veterinarian’s place together.

Upon seeing the midnight Spirit Grass, the veterinarian wore a relieved smile, “With this, the Blood-Horned Deer should recover soon.”

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang watched the vet busying with the Spirit Grass, both exhaling in relief.

In the following days, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang stayed at the Alliance, helping care for the Blood-Horned Deer.

With the aid of the midnight Spirit Grass, the weakened Blood-Horned Deer indeed swiftly regained its health.

As the Blood-Horned Deer recovered, the atmosphere in the Alliance lightened.

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang received praise and gratitude from Alliance mbers, knowing the success of this mission was not just due to their efforts but also the unity and trust of the Alliance.

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang spent a few peaceful days in the Alliance, assisting with daily affairs and exchanging experiences with other mbers.

During this ti, they received ample rest, recovering from the exhaustion of their journey.

Finally, once the Blood-Horned Deer fully recuperated, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang planned to leave the Alliance for another round of training.

And since they’re headed out for training, Luo Chen naturally intended to take on a task.

Training while completing tasks, isn’t that a good thing?

Luo Chen and Qing Shuang stood in the Alliance’s plaza, looking at the familiar land, their hearts filled with sentint.

They knew each departure might mark a new beginning or an unknown challenge.

“Luo Chen, what task do you plan to take?” Qing Shuang asked curiously.

Luo Chen pondered for a mont, then took out a task scroll from his bosom, “I’ve heard in the northern Ice Plateau, there’s a type of Spiritual Beast called ‘Ice Spiritual Fox.’ Their fur can be used to make clothing to resist severe cold, which will be very helpful to the Alliance’s warriors.”

Qing Shuang nodded, “Sounds like a good task, and I’ve always wanted to see the Ice Plateau.”

“Then it’s decided,” Luo Chen smiled, putting away the task scroll. “Let’s prepare first, go to the workshop to buy so cold-resistant items, then we can set off.”

The two then headed to the Alliance’s workshop, the center for various commodity transactions.

They purchased heavy fur coats, warm boots, gloves, and so provisions and dicines.

Luo Chen also specifically bought so tools for making traps, aiming to catch Ice Spiritual Foxes on the plateau.

After making preparations, Luo Chen and Qing Shuang embarked on their journey toward the northern Ice Plateau.

They spent about half a month, eventually reaching a vast area covered with snow and ice.

The piercing cold wind on the plateau, but Luo Chen and Qing Shuang were clad in heavy clothing, resisting the harsh cold.

“The snowstorm is quite intense here; we must be cautious,” Luo Chen advised.

Qing Shuang nodded, eyes sparkling with excitent, “Luo Chen, look over there; isn’t that the trail of an Ice Spiritual Fox?”

Luo Chen followed Qing Shuang’s indication to see a series of tiny footprints on the distant snowy ground.

They cautiously followed the tracks ahead, careful not to alert their target.

After so ti tracking, they finally discovered an Ice Spiritual Fox.

The Spiritual Fox was entirely covered in silver-white fur, with eyes like two brilliant blue gemstones, particularly noticeable in the snow.

“Be careful not to let it escape,” Luo Chen whispered.

Qing Shuang nodded, and she took a pre-prepared trap from her waist, carefully setting it on the fox’s path.

Luo Chen provided cover from the side, ensuring the fox didn’t notice them.

Once everything was in place, Qing Shuang gently patted Luo Chen’s shoulder, signaling he could proceed.

Luo Chen stepped out from his hiding spot, deliberately making a noise. The Ice Spiritual Fox, alard, imdiately fled toward Qing Shuang’s trap.

At the instant when the fox was about to enter the trap, Qing Shuang quickly tightened the trap’s cords.

The fox stumbled by the sudden cords, struggled a bit, and was securely trapped in place.
