There was no doubt that in the second round of individual combat, Yan Rufeng’s side won a complete victory. General Zhao Wuji of the three major bases roared angrily, "Hu Yixiang, these are the soldiers you led? Losing the first round is understandable, but in the second round, not a single person won. Where do you expect to save my face?"

Although Hu Yixiang was a Cultivator, facing Zhao Wuji’s presence filled with righteous energy, he dared not be arrogant.

"General Zhao, I, Hu Yixiang, swear on my life that the competition between our instructors will be a complete victory!" Hu Yixiang bowed and promised.

"If you lose again this ti, you might as well resign." Zhao Wuji turned around and left with a single hand behind his back.

"Yan Rufeng, I, Hu Yixiang, am irreconcilable with you. Today, one of us must die." Hu Yixiang gritted his teeth in hatred.

As both rounds of the competition proceeded very quickly, they only took less than five hours. Lu Mingliang proposed that the instructors’ competition be scheduled for four in the afternoon.

With the setting sun and the evening breeze blowing, Yan Rufeng stood with his hands behind his back, looking sharply ahead in the prepared competition arena.

On the viewing platform, Lu Mingliang said to Zhao Wuji, "Brother Zhao, you have five instructors including the external support, but on my side, there are only Yan Rufeng and Ji Yun."

Zhao Wuji, whose face was already unpleasant, adjusted his mood and calmly said, "Brother Lu, I understand your point. How about we let them compete first, and the winners proceed to the final duel. What do you think?"

"Excellent!" Lu Mingliang laughed.

"General Lu, there’s no need for such trouble. I alone will challenge all five of them; that will suffice!" Yan Rufeng said loudly.

"What?"

Hu Yixiang was stunned and then shouted, "Yan Rufeng, what do you an? Fighting against the five of us, are you looking for death?"

Han Lifang also beca furious and said, "What an arrogant Yan Rufeng, treating my Shushan Sword Palace so lightly. Today, I, Han Lifang, will show you the might of Shushan Sword Palace."

"Senior Brother, this is Yan Rufeng seeking his own death; we can’t be blad. Once we get on stage, we’ll blast him to pieces, so no one dares to look down on Shushan Sword Palace in the future." A glint of murder flashed in Hou Tao’s eyes.

"Have you decided who will co first? I’m very busy and in a hurry to leave." Yan Rufeng said calmly.

"Yan Rufeng, stop your rampant words." Hu Yixiang drew the longsword from his waist, leaped, and appeared in front of Yan Rufeng, pointing the tip at him.

"Demon Yan Rufeng, today, I’ll show you the power of a Cultivation Inheritor."

"Ah..."

"Sword, go..."

Hu Yixiang, at the Qi Refinent Realm, thrust his sword out, pointing the tip directly at Yan Rufeng.

Yan Rufeng, unhurried, lightly shouted, "Sword, fall."

"Ding."

With a crisp sound, Hu Yixiang’s flying sword dropped to the ground.

"You lost. Step down." Yan Rufeng said.

"Impossible. I can’t lose."

In a daze, Hu Yixiang shook his head, picked up the longsword from the ground, and swiftly charged at Yan Rufeng.

"Yan Rufeng, I’ll kill you."

"With such venom in your heart at the Qi Refining Stage, today I, Yan Rufeng, will cripple your cultivation to prevent you from harming lives in the future." Yan Rufeng said fiercely.

The next mont, Hu Yixiang couldn’t move an inch; Yan Rufeng shot out a Spiritual Energy Flying Sword, piercing through Hu Yixiang’s Dantian instantly.

Crippled in cultivation, Hu Yixiang slumped to the ground, and his longsword fell to the ground again.

Zhao Wuji, who was ashad of what Hu Yixiang said and did, had Hu Yixiang led off the field for military punishnt as soon as he slumped down.

Yan Rufeng stood where he was, not moving an inch.

"Co at together. It’s too ti-consuming one by one." Yan Rufeng said softly.

"Yan Rufeng, stop being arrogant. Hou Tao of Shushan Sword Palace accepts your challenge." Hou Tao leaped up.

"Heh!"

Yan Rufeng sneered, "Aren’t you Senior Hou of Shushan Sword Palace? Didn’t you get enough slaps last ti in the Southern Border? Are you here to get beaten again? Senior Hou, you’re no match for ; step down."

Hou Tao already hated Yan Rufeng for that incident. Hearing Yan Rufeng ntion it again made him even more furious.

"Senior Brother, co up and help slaughter this ignorant brat."

Han Lifang leaped onto his flying sword, circling the competition field flamboyantly before preparing to descend.

At that mont, Yan Rufeng waved his arm upward impatiently and said, "Where’s that buzzing mosquito from? Fall!"

"Clang, thud!"

With Spiritual Power lost, Han Lifang crashed to the ground with a muffled sound and spat out a mouthful of blood.

"Ugh..."

With Hou Tao’s only hope shattered, he knew revenge was impossible today. Trembling, he walked to Han Lifang’s side and helped him up.

"Senior Brother, are you alright?"

"I won’t die."

Han Lifang’s eyes glowed red with murderous intent.

"Yan Rufeng, rember this: harming soone from my Shushan Sword Palace ans death. When I inform our Master, he will co for your life soon."

"Is that so?"

Yan Rufeng said sternly, "Today I’ll cripple both of your cultivations as a lesson to Shushan Sword Palace."

Yan Rufeng ford a magic spell with his hands, launching two Spiritual Energy Flying Swords toward their Dantian rapidly.

"Instructor Yan, stop!" Zhao Wuji shouted from the viewing platform.

However, it was too late.

Crippling their cultivation was giving Zhao Wuji a big face; otherwise, they would have already died under Yan Rufeng’s sword.

"Sigh..."

Seeing the crippled Hou Tao and Han, Zhao Wuji sighed and said, "General Lu, there’s no need for this competition to continue. You win. I, Zhao, admit defeat."

"Haha..."

"Brother Zhao, then let’s withdraw first." Lu Mingliang laughed.

Zhao Wuji said again, "Brother Lu, after a month, I will select the candidates to enter the Kunlun Secret Realm and personally deliver them to your base for assembly."

"Alright, Brother Zhao, see you in a month."

With Lu Mingliang’s order, the troops retreated like a tide.

With a very depressed mood, Zhao Wuji sent off Han Lifang and Hou Tao, and upon returning to the base, he dismissed Hu Yixiang from his position as an instructor.

Dismissed, Hu Yixiang was confined, and in the base, noncommissioned officers expressed their views on this competition.

"Three losses in a row, and such bitter defeats." one person said.

"Yeah, we always thought Instructor Hu was impressive, but now we see that in front of Instructor Yan, he couldn’t even last a move."

"That’s what they call, ’no comparison, no harm.’"

One person said, "I really want to go to the Fifth Base and follow Instructor Yan."

"I want to go too..."

The discussions reached Zhang Mingdong, who had just joined the special forces.

Zhang Mingdong found a noncommissioned officer who had been to the competition site and asked, "Brother, is that Instructor Yan as amazing as you say?"

"Hee hee, rookie, you haven’t seen it. More than amazing, if you saw him, you’d probably piss your pants."

"Tch, is it really that serious?" Zhang Mingdong said disdainfully.

"Instructor Hu, you know, he’s now in confinent. When he gets out, you can ask him."
