The Heart of Wu ng, the nexus of the Wu ng Sacred Cosmos. Obtaining the Heart of Wu ng is equivalent to having control over the entire Sacred Cosmos!
Wang Xu’s mind reeled, his body shivered briefly, and the scene before his eyes shifted suddenly. His fingers softened; the fragile little girl was still fainted on the ground.
"The Heart of Wu ng... It’s too incredible, I didn’t notice it at all." Wang Xu withdrew his fingers as if electrocuted, shocked in his heart.
It is rumored that the Heart of Wu ng can change into any form and appears no different from an ordinary being. Initially, Wang Xu didn’t pay much attention, but upon reflection, he finally realized the Heart of Wu ng truly resembled a normal creature, no discernible difference, even at such proximity.
Amidst his surprise, Wang Xu’s brows gradually furrowed.
"The Heart of Wu ng is the item sought by the entire cosmos, the three major forces, the Dark Holy Banquet, and many Immortal Cosmic Countries. Now it’s appeared before ... This isn’t luck, it’s a disaster."
Wang Xu’s understanding was clear: the Heart of Wu ng was a treasure competed for by multiple superpowers, related to the entire Sacred Cosmos— an artifact of the Saint Venerable, not sothing a re Cosmic Martial Artist like him could lay claim to.
After a brief contemplation, he glanced at the little girl on the ground with concern, ultimately deciding to take her away.
"Since I discovered the Heart of Wu ng, I should just hand her over to the Heaven-Reaching Pavilion. They would treat her much better than other superpowers." Leaving the little girl in the Blue Demon Star Domain would inevitably lead to discovery by other Cosmic Martial Artists of superpowers; it was better to take her back to the Heaven-Reaching Pavilion.
Moreover, the crucial thing was the reward for the Heart of Wu ng.
Wang Xu’s foremost task in coming to the Wu ng Sacred Cosmos was to find the Heart of Wu ng; the generous reward offered by the Heaven-Reaching Pavilion was highly tempting, it was false to say he wasn’t moved.
"One thousand pieces of Wu ng Spirit Essence... enough to drive Immortal Cosmic Countries crazy." Wang Xu took a deep breath.
One of the rewards offered by the Heaven-Reaching Pavilion was indeed a thousand pieces of Wu ng Spirit Essence.
You must know, Senior Brother Lu Chen stayed in the Wu ng Sacred Cosmos for hundreds of thousands of years, overcoming countless dangers, ultimately obtaining only three pieces.
Even so, Senior Brother Lu Chen was still elated, and outsiders were extrely envious.
Wu ng Spirit Essence can enhance a Cosmic Martial Artist’s Life Index, enabling a leap in Life Level, it’s a treasure capable of creating geniuses.
The three major forces, the Dark Holy Banquet, and nurous Immortal Cosmic Countries, their first target is the Heart of Wu ng, the second is this Wu ng Spirit Essence.
A single piece of Wu ng Spirit Essence is enough to incite a colossal war, causing even Celestial God Realm masters to fall... a thousand pieces, likely all forces would go to any length to vie for it.
However, if obtaining the Heart of Wu ng equals possessing the entire Sacred Cosmos, at that point, with the Sacred Cosmos under your control, wouldn’t you have the Wu ng Spirit Essence at your command?
"A man without guilt but possessing jade brings disaster upon himself." Wang Xu shook his head, deciding to hand over the Heart of Wu ng to the Heaven-Reaching Pavilion after all.
Wang Xu waved his hand, trying to bring the little girl into his Space Treasure.
"Hmm? Unable to collect her?" Wang Xu discovered, to his surprise, that the little girl couldn’t be placed inside the Space Treasure.
"Wang Xu, co forth!" Wang Xu directly summoned the Sacred Statue, pointing at the unconscious little girl on the ground, "Bring her into your Mixed Cosmos."
"Yes, Master." The Sacred Statue replied respectfully and then waved his hand, but like Wang Xu, there was no response, which caused the Sacred Statue to frown.
After trying several tis, the Sacred Statue had no thod to deal with the little girl. Seeing this, Wang Xu said, "Forget it, let’s go back."
"Unable to collect her into the Space Treasure or the Mixed Cosmos, the magic of the Heart of Wu ng indeed exceeds my imagination," Wang Xu thought to himself.
Wang Xu simply sat down cross-legged on the spot, waiting for Senior Brother Lu Chen to return and the little girl to wake up.
This wait lasted ten full days.
Ten days passed in the blink of an eye for Wang Xu, undergoing cultivation, even a single mont spanning ten thousand years wouldn’t be surprising.
"Mmm..."
Wang Xu opened his eyes and looked at the little girl; her eyes slowly opened, as if she had just woken from a nap, drowsy.
"Big brother..." The little girl saw Wang Xu in front of her, shyly lowered her head, her small hands twisting at the corner of her clothes, appearing pitiful and innocent.
Wang Xu was puzzled; the little girl’s gaze was clear, her expression natural, without any disorder or fluctuation, void of any affectation or pretension.
Were it not for his firsthand experience with the Heart of Wu ng’s wonders, Wang Xu likely wouldn’t believe that the Star Level little girl before him was a being that had existed for countless Legacies of Law.
"What’s your na?" Wang Xu asked.
Holding onto his curiosity about the Heart of Wu ng and determination to take the little girl along, Wang Xu wanted to learn more about the Heart of Wu ng.
"I... I..." The little girl stamred, her big eyes blinking hard, crystalline tears swirling in her eyes, struggling to speak.
"Have you ever lost your mory?" Wang Xu tentatively asked, the little girl rembering nothing, with no trace of falsehood, made Wang Xu think of mory loss. Only those who entirely lost their past mories would be utterly unaware of their history, their nature as pure as the newly born, without a single flaw.
The little girl seed to agree with Wang Xu’s words, nodding vigorously like a chick pecking at grain.
"Then, do you rember the first place you appeared after losing your mory?" Wang Xu continued to ask.
The little girl shook her head again.
Wang Xu sighed. So, the Heart of Wu ng had been like this all these years, constantly experiencing and then forgetting, going through it all over again?
The two of them remained in silence. For a mont, there was no sound in the great hall except for the whistling wind.
"Ai’ai." Wang Xu’s voice broke the silence, "You shall be called Ai’ai."
"Ai’ai..." Upon hearing this, the little girl’s eyes sparkled, and a happy smile spread across her face, "I have a na now; I am called Ai’ai."
Even with all her mories erased, having a na seed like a treasure to the little girl. She repeated "Ai’ai" over and over, overjoyed.
"Gurgle..." Suddenly, a rumbling sound ca, and Ai’ai’s face turned red with embarrassnt. She touched her unruly stomach and lowered her head, not daring to look at Wang Xu.
Wang Xu chuckled silently. For a Cosmic Martial Artist, reaching the Star Level ant surviving on Cosmic Energy alone, without needing to eat.
But the little girl seed to be an exception; her stomach growled with hunger.
Wang Xu waved his hand, and many steaming dishes appeared, along with the most traditional rice from Earth.
Humans on Earth, living in the Mixed Cosmos of the Sacred Cosmos, never had to worry about food and drinks; everything was readily available.
Ai’ai’s mouth opened wide in astonishnt, her eyes glead, and saliva unconsciously dripped, as if she hadn’t eaten in a long ti.
"Eat." With Wang Xu’s invitation, Ai’ai did not hold back, scooping up rice and eating it eagerly.
Wang Xu watched from the side without disturbance, entering a state of cultivation directly. The Wu ng Sacred Cosmos was a dangerous place, and every second had to be seized.
...
After a long while, Ai’ai finished the last bucket of rice, set down the empty container, licked her lips with satisfaction, and then exhaled a long breath.
"Thank you, big brother, you are a good person."
Ai’ai whispered, "I don’t rember much, but I vaguely recall having traveled to many places, yet no one was willing to give food to eat..."
Ai’ai’s mories were like scattered fragnts, flashing images that were not complete.
And within these images, there was nothing but disdain, rejection, indifference, scolding...
Wang Xu could imagine Ai’ai wandering the Cosmos, without mories or great strength, facing countless cold shoulders in a power-dominated universe.
Just like Wang Xu was about to turn away, there were too many pitiful wanderers in the universe, countless and unreachable. It was his sense of compassion that made him turn back; otherwise, he would have left indifferently like those who had rejected Ai’ai.
"Ai’ai, would you like to follow ?" Wang Xu suddenly asked.
Hearing this, Ai’ai looked at Wang Xu in surprise, incredulous. In her broken mories, all she encountered was indifference, neglect, and disdain... but now, soone was willing to take her in and live with her.
Ai’ai covered her mouth in excitent, her eyes suddenly reddened, and crystalline tears flowed like trails of water, unstoppable.
"Big... big brother... I... can I really?" Ai’ai nearly sobbed these words out.
Wang Xu nodded firmly, while feeling a pang of sorrow for the Heart of Wu ng’s ordeal. Had she really never t soone who pitied her in her long life?
But on second thought, indeed, if she had truly t soone, her identity as the Heart of Wu ng might have been discovered long ago, otherwise why would she appear before Wang Xu today?
"So... so wonderful!" Ai’ai jumped for joy, her small face flushed with excitent.
"Big brother likes Ai’ai, is willing to take Ai’ai along; it’s wonderful, wonderful!" Ai’ai felt enveloped in happiness, experiencing warmth she had never felt before.
Subsequently, Wang Xu began to guide Ai’ai in cultivation. It had to be said, Ai’ai’s talent was quite good, with extrely strong comprehension, yet she was still at the Star Level, which puzzled Wang Xu.
Swish!
A streak of light shot across the sky, arriving above the palace in an instant.
"Boom!" An old corpse with dark gray wings on its back was thrown down; it was none other than Blue Demon.
The life force had perished, Blue Demon’s chest was pierced through, but due to the depletion of Life Force, even the blood had dried up.
"Senior brother Lu Chen."
Lu Chen slowly landed on the ground, a stern look in his eyes, but more than anything, there was the thrill of revenge.
"Hmm? Who is she?" Lu Chen’s gaze fell on Ai’ai, questioning.
Ai’ai hid behind Wang Xu, timidly clutching Wang Xu’s black robe, seemingly sensing the lingering killing intent on Lu Chen, feeling afraid and not daring to look at him.
"Senior brother Lu Chen, let’s go, I’ll tell you on the way." Wang Xu did not directly answer Lu Chen but led Ai’ai aboard the Space-Ti Whale under Lu Chen’s curious gaze. (To be continued.
