Chapter 83: Poison of Spirit Devouring

Several individuals simultaneously wielded Magical Weapons, attacking Wang Hong. He was incredibly agile in the air, frequently dodging when the Magical Weapons approached, shifting his figure one or two zhang away, occasionally flashing near the group to launch counterattacks.

After Old Man unleashed several attacks, he could no longer endure and spewed out a mouthful of black blood.

Seizing the opportunity, Wang Hong aid and with a "pu chi" sound, the Flying Sword pierced through Old Man's heart.

Before the others could fully comprehend the reason, puzzled by Old Man's sudden weakness, he was easily slain by Wang Hong.

"Why not stop here, my friends? After all, the blood you desired is already obtained. Whose blood it is doesn't matter, so why spoil the mood?" Wang Hong teased, dodging the attacks of several individuals' Magical Weapons.

The remaining four individuals were further infuriated and intensified their assault.

Unbeknownst to them, a lurking black energy within their bodies was devouring their Spiritual Energy, rapidly growing stronger.

At this mont, a buzzing sound resonated as nurous finger-sized insects flew out of the water pool, with double wings on their backs, entirely black, forming a dense swarm. Their numbers were at least several tens to hundreds of thousands, far more spectacular than Wang Hong's swarm of bees.

The insect swarm was drawn to the heart's blood released by Old Man, flying towards the location where Old Man fell, landing on his corpse and feasting on the blood.

Seizing this opportunity, Wang Hong executed his self-created Dragon Serpent Escape technique, his figure shifting and flickering. In the blink of an eye, he flew above the Ink Jade Spirit Lotus.

Reaching out, he grabbed the stem of the lotus seedpod, forcefully pulling it out. The stem was over ten feet long, with a small piece of lotus root attached below. Without sparing a glance, he stowed it away in his Space.

Observing Wang Hong's actions, the other two flying magical tools also approached this Spiritual dicine.

anwhile, on the ground, Old Man's body had already been sucked dry by the swarm, not even two breaths had passed.

The swarm, having drained Old Man, once again lunged towards others. The first targets were the two cultivators standing by the water pool.

They hastily deployed defensive Magical Arts, forming a light shield around themselves, securely protecting their bodies.

At this mont, they noticed a black energy mass appearing within their bodies, devouring their Spiritual Energy and corroding their flesh and blood, exactly as Old Man had ntioned.

By now, if they still didn't realize it was Wang Hong's doing, they truly would be fools.

"It's indeed your poison! You seek death!" The two individuals were furious, disregarding the swarming insects covering their defense shield, simultaneously summoning their Flying Swords to attack Wang Hong.

The two individuals flying on Magical Weapons, alerted by the situation, also discovered the anomalies within their bodies and were equally enraged.

They, a group of five elite cultivators from the sect, had been arranged by the Golden Core ancestor to co here and harvest Spiritual dicine. Unexpectedly, all five of them had fallen into the trap set by the person before them.

With the strongest force now dead and the remaining four poisoned, their only option was to exert their utmost effort to kill this person and search for an antidote.

Facing the relentless pursuit of the four, Wang Hong didn't engage in direct confrontation. Relying on the flexibility of his Dragon Serpent Escape technique, he weaved between left and right, elusive and unpredictable, preventing the four from touching him.

In his eyes, since he was already poisoned and practically the sa as a dead man, why waste effort on a corpse?

However, the countless swarm of insects wouldn't wait for the four to determine the outco. Hungry for a long ti, they saw mobile delicacies before them and wouldn't let this opportunity pass.

The swarm indiscriminately rushed towards the five individuals. The four pursuing Wang Hong, deeply poisoned and with diminished Spiritual Energy, were the weakest in cultivation level. The young cultivator who had first co into contact with Wang Hong's Storage Bag, his defensive shield was bitten through by the swarm.

Instantaneously, black insects covered his entire body. He scread in terror, flailing his limbs, desperately slapping at himself. Each strike could kill dozens of insects, his hands covered in a mixture of red and black blood.

Yet, the number of insects was simply too vast. Killing dozens or hundreds at a ti was futile.

Moreover, the insects chasing others caught wind of the bloody scent and turned towards the young man.

"Ah ah ah!"

The young cultivator collapsed on the ground, rolling ceaselessly. In a matter of monts, he was motionless.

Seeing how horrifying the black insects were, Wang Hong fled towards the exit of the mountain cave.

Although he felt that the individual strength of these insects might not pierce his skin, he didn't want to stay and test that hypothesis. What if they could bite through?

"Surrender the antidote, or we'll all die here together."

The Middle-aged Man with a Black Face, who had always found Wang Hong displeasing, now blocked the exit, adopting a stance of mutual destruction.

The other two remaining individuals also chased in that direction.

Anger surged within Wang Hong. He had disliked this person for a while now, thinking he could intimidate him.

He drew his Long Spear, executed a shifting positions technique, and ghostly shifted, instantly appearing in front of the Middle-aged Man with a Black Face. Before the man could react, he felt a pain in his chesta Long Spear had pierced through his heart.

In the brief delay, the young man behind had already been sucked dry by the insects, and the shields of the two individuals chasing behind were also bitten through by the swarm.

Witnessing this scene, Wang Hong grabbed the Storage Bag from the Middle-aged Man with a Black Face's waist and swiftly rushed towards the exit.

A portion of the swarm continued to pursue relentlessly. While fleeing, Wang Hong kept his awareness focused on the swarm behind.

At this point, he noticed a peculiar phenononmany insects, as they flew, seed intoxicated. They swayed east and west before descending in a staggering manner.

As Wang Hong continued to escape, the number of pursuers dwindled. Eventually, he stopped running, standing in place and watching as the insects fell like rain.

The remaining pursuers were now few, perhaps less than ten thousand. Wang Hong waved his hand, releasing a group of Poisonous Bees.

Once the Poisonous Bees erged, they engaged in battle with the black insects. Although the number of Poisonous Bees was significantly less, their individual strength was much greater than that of the insects. Wang Hong's efforts in feeding them Spiritual dicine had not been in vain.

After a mont, the battle between the two types of Spirit Insects concluded. The black insects were entirely wiped out, and approximately two hundred Poisonous Bees perished.

Wang Hong picked up a few corpses of the black insects and observed them closely. He suddenly realized that these black insects had died from poisoning.

All five individuals, surnad Qi, were poisoned by him, and this toxin would consu Spiritual Energy within a cultivator's body, transforming all of it into a potent poison.

These insects turned all five individuals into dry corpses, naturally poisoning them completely.

Unexpectedly, he had accidentally eliminated such a terrifying group of Spirit Insects.

This poison was concocted on a whim during his pharmacology studies. Utilizing the knowledge he possessed, he experinted dozens of tis before successfully refining it.

He didn't expect its potency to be so strong. Considering its ability to devour Spiritual Energy and enhance itself, he decided to na it "Spirit Devouring."

Now that the black insects were dead, Wang Hong planned to return and check. He was eager to see if there were still several Storage Bags left to pick up.

The ground was now covered with a layer of insect corpses, producing squeaky sounds when stepped on.

Stepping on the insect corpses, he returned to the water pool. The five dry corpses were scattered around.

Wang Hong collected valuable items from the five bodies, burning them into ashes.

Among the five, there were also two flying Magical Weaponsone shaped like a leaf, similar to his Windsoar Boat, and another styled as a Flying Boat. Although it looked like a Flying Boat, it was faster than his Windsoar Boat. If not for him using the Dragon Serpent Escape technique, he wouldn't have been able to outrun this Flying Boat.

In the Storage Bags of the five individuals, a total of four types of Foundation Building dicinal herbs were found, totaling six.

Combined with what he had originally collected in the forest, he now possessed a total of twelve types of Foundation Building dicinal herbs, covering one-third of the total.

Additionally, there were various Spiritual dicines, several Magical Weapons, and not many Spirit Stonesonly three thousand in total, probably spent before entering the secret realm.
