---

Yuki's breathing was soft and steady as he drifted into slumber, sandwiched between Aiko and Himari under the moonlight. But inside his mind?

Things were very different.

---

[Dream World]

Yuki stood atop a glowing mountain surrounded by... sakura petals?

He blinked.

"Where... am I?"

A banner unfurled in the sky above him:

"WELCO TO YUKI'S HAREM KINGDOM."

"Excuse !?" Yuki gasped, looking around wildly.

At that exact mont, Aiko appeared in a silk kimono, hair flowing in the wind, eyes sparkling. "Yuki... my destined one."

Then ca Himari, dressed like a mystical shrine maiden, floating down from the sky. "Yuki... my future."

Yuki's jaw dropped. "WHAT FUTURE!? WHO WROTE THIS SCRIPT!?"

Both girls landed gracefully on either side of him. "Yuki," they said in unison, voices dreamy and synchronized.

Yuki's eyes widened. "Okay, nope. Nope nope nope. This is not happening."

Suddenly, Ren popped up as a floating spirit head above them. "Live it up, kid! You earned this!"

Then Haru burst through a sakura bush wearing heart-shaped shades and holding a sign that read: "TEAM HIMAIKO 4 LYFE."

"NOOOO!" Yuki scread, running through the dream world as confetti and hearts exploded around him.

---

[Reality – Early Morning]

Yuki suddenly jolted awake, eyes wide, shouting, "I'M NOT A HAREM PROTAGONIST!"

Aiko and Himari, still resting beside him, slowly sat up at the sa ti, rubbing their eyes and blinking at him.

"...Yuki?" they both said in perfect unison.

Yuki froze. Déjà vu hit him like a truck.

From the other side of the campfire, Ren howled with laughter. "What in the na of the moon were you dreaming about!?"

Kai, flipping sothing in a pan, turned with a smirk. "You said 'Who wrote this script?' out loud. What kind of dream was that?"

Haru snorted. "He probably dreamt about the two girls fighting over him again."

Aiko blushed furiously. "W-we were just sleeping, okay!"

Himari looked away, but her ears were red.

Yuki, flustered beyond belief, covered his face. "I hate everything."

Kai walked over with a bowl of ran. "Eat this, your royal foxness. Might help with the... side effects of fa."

Ren, already preparing a story titled "The Dream Harem of Lord Yuki", winked. "Don't worry. It's totally normal. Every hero goes through it."

Yuki groaned. "I'm changing camps. I'm sleeping in a tree next ti."

---

The sun peeked over the horizon, golden rays slipping through the trees as the group slowly stirred awake. Birds chirped in perfect harmony.

Yuki sat near the fire, face buried in his knees.

He hadn't spoken a word since waking from his "dream."

Kai, unfazed, served breakfast bowls like a master chef. "Ran for the drear. Toast for the fighters. Dumplings for the—"

"DON'T say 'harem' again!" Yuki snapped, face still red.

Aiko sipped her tea quietly, eyes darting away every ti soone looked her way.

Himari twirled her hair with forced nonchalance.

Ren was already retelling the dream like a bard spinning an epic. "And then, the moonlight glowed brighter as our young fox hero declared: 'I'm not a harem protagonist!' Such passion. Such denial."

Haru leaned against a tree, smirking. "So... are we training today or are we watching Yuki unravel?"

Yuki sighed, slurping his ran. "I vote both."

---

[Training Grounds – A Cliffside Clearing]

Ren clapped his hands. "Alright, ti to stretch your legs. We're starting with the one-on-one matches."

"Ladies first," Haru added smugly, pointing at Aiko and Himari. "Let's see which one of you is winning Yuki's heart—uh—I an, training skills."

Both girls glared at him.

Yuki stood back, sipping water nervously.

The battle began. Aura versus instinct. Himari flowed with spiritual grace, flickering like mist. Aiko's aura shimred, taking the form of subtle waves, steady and determined.

Each blow was close. Precise. Almost too synchronized.

Ren leaned toward Yuki and whispered, "You realize they're kind of dancing around each other, right?"

Yuki nodded. "They're gonna kill one day."

Then—boom!—a double hit knocked both Aiko and Himari back.

They landed near Yuki.

And in eerie synchronicity again, they both groaned out, "Yuki..."

Everyone went dead silent.

Haru cackled. "I'm starting to think you are a harem protagonist."

Yuki just got up and walked straight into the nearest bush.

Haru cackled again."He's evolving. Soon he'll live in that bush permanently."

---

[Later that Night – Under the Stars]

They laid on blankets around a small fire. The stars twinkled in a peaceful sky. The chaos had settled.

Yuki stared upward. "It's... peaceful. For once."

Haru snorted. "Until the next ancient god-thing shows up."

Ren smirked, hands behind his head. "Or until your two spirit queens wake up and start round two."

Aiko and Himari had already dozed off, this ti comfortably curled up beside Yuki.

Ren elbowed Haru. "He really doesn't stand a chance."

Haru nodded. "Poor guy. Strongest kitsune... weakest resolve."

Kai threw a blanket over all of them and smiled. "Sleep tight, everyone. You'll need it."

Yuki murmured in his sleep, "...not the shrine maiden again..."

The fire crackled as laughter echoed under the starry sky.
