Qin Feiyang’s eyes flickered. He looked up at Ren Wushuang and said, "Give
your current coordinates."
As soon as Ren Wushuang gave Qin Feiyang her coordinates, he opened a teleportation portal and appeared with the Wolf King in a training room.
The training room was only about twenty-three ters across, with no decorations except for a worn-out ditation cushion. It was very spartan.
But it was clean.
Ren Wushuang was currently sitting on the cushion.
The Wolf King glanced around and exclaid in surprise, "Miss Ren, you train in a place like this?"
"Is there a problem?" Ren Wushuang asked, her expression impassive.
The Wolf King said, "Not at all. But compared to Xiao Qinzi’s alchemy room, this place is practically a doghouse!"
"Doghouse?"
Ren Wushuang sprang to her feet, her fair hand shooting out to grab the Wolf King’s ear. She shouted angrily, "Are you calling
a dog?"
"No, no!"
"You misunderstood!"
"Ouch, that hurts! Let go!" the Wolf King howled in pain.
"Hmph!"
Ren Wushuang snorted coldly, glanced at Qin Feiyang, and snapped, "You’ve been back so long and haven’t even co to see . What’s that all about?"
"We’ve just been really busy!" Qin Feiyang replied with an awkward grin.
"Yes, yes! We wanted to co see you right away, but we had too many things to do; we couldn’t get away," the Wolf King nodded repeatedly.
"Really?"
A sarcastic smile touched Ren Wushuang’s lips. Her expression seed to ask, Do you take
for a fool?
Qin Feiyang and the Wolf King exchanged helpless glances.
Suddenly, Qin Feiyang’s expression turned extrely serious. He said, "Sis, stop ssing around. We have important business to attend to."
"What important business?" Ren Wushuang asked, puzzled.
Qin Feiyang said, "Let go of the White-Eyed Wolf first."
Ren Wushuang eyed Qin Feiyang and the Wolf King skeptically but finally released her grip.
Qin Feiyang said, "Sis, send a ssage to your grandfather now."
"What exactly are you trying to do?" Ren Wushuang frowned.
The Wolf King waved his paw impatiently. "Enough chattering! If he tells you to send a ssage, just hurry up and do it."
"Say that again!" Ren Wushuang glared instantly.
The Wolf King flinched and huffed, "This concerns you. If you don’t do it, you’ll definitely regret it."
Ren Wushuang raised her eyebrows and activated her Image Crystal Stone.
Soon after, an ethereal, elderly figure appeared out of thin air.
The City Lord joked, "My girl, what wind has blown you here today? To think you’d take the initiative to contact ."
Ren Wushuang said, "It wasn’t
looking for you; it’s Qin Feiyang and Rogue Wolf."
Qin Feiyang walked over to Ren Wushuang with the Wolf King.
Upon seeing the two, the City Lord’s eyes lit up. "Is it done?" he asked, surprised.
"Of course," the Wolf King chuckled.
"Excellent! You’re in the inner hall, right? I’ll co to you imdiately." The City Lord was overjoyed.
Qin Feiyang smiled faintly. "Old man, don’t be in such a rush. There’s one more thing I need you to do."
"Speak," the City Lord pressed eagerly.
Qin Feiyang said, "Notify the Shen Family Ancestor and the Lu Family Ancestor, and have them co as well."
"Does this involve the Shen family?" the City Lord asked, puzzled.
Qin Feiyang nodded. "It’s very important."
"Fine, I’ll go fetch them." With that, the City Lord’s ethereal figure faded away.
Qin Feiyang pondered briefly before looking at the Wolf King. "Go and bring Lu Xingchen and Shi Ming here."
"Alright," the Wolf King nodded.
He opened a teleportation portal and darted through without a second glance.
Ren Wushuang asked uncertainly, "Feiyang, can you tell
what on earth you’re up to?"
Just as Qin Feiyang was about to speak...
KNOCK! KNOCK!
There was a knock at the door.
That was quick, Qin Feiyang murmured to himself, turning to look at the stone door.
"What was quick?" Ren Wushuang, baffled, asked, "Do you know who it is?"
Qin Feiyang replied, "If I’m not mistaken, it should be Shen i."
"Huh?"
Even more puzzled, Ren Wushuang walked over and opened the stone door.
A graceful figure in black imdiately entered her sight.
Who else could it be but Shen i?
He was right again? Ren Wushuang muttered. Looking at Shen i, she said flatly, "Do you need sothing?"
"I wanted to have a chat with you," Shen i said, forcing a smile.
"Co in then." Ren Wushuang stepped aside, opening up the view.
Upon seeing Qin Feiyang, a trace of surprise crossed Shen i’s face. "What are you doing here?"
Qin Feiyang simply offered a faint smile.
Shen i frowned subtly, then turned to Ren Wushuang and said with a smile, "Since you have a guest, I’ll co back another day."
"Sure," Ren Wushuang nodded.
As Shen i turned to leave, Qin Feiyang said with a faint smile, "Why the hurry to leave, Senior Sister Shen i? Co in and chat."
"There’s no need," Shen i said, not turning back.
Qin Feiyang stepped forward, blocking Shen i’s path. "Whether you stay or not," he said calmly, "is perhaps no longer up to you."
"What do you an?" Shen i raised an eyebrow.
"Please," Qin Feiyang gestured towards the training room.
"Don’t be so impudent!" Shen i yelled angrily.
Qin Feiyang said, "If you’re not afraid of your dealings with Lu Xingchen being exposed, feel free to shout louder."
Shen i’s pupils contracted abruptly.
Qin Feiyang chuckled. "Senior Sister Shen, please!"
Shen i gave Qin Feiyang a deep look, then turned and walked into the training room.
Qin Feiyang also entered the training room.
As he passed Ren Wushuang, she whispered, "Feiyang, what’s going on?"
Qin Feiyang just gave a cryptic smile, looked at Shen i, and sighed, "Why are you so foolish?"
"What?" Shen i looked confused.
Qin Feiyang shook his head. "Still playing dumb? Can’t you see Lu Xingchen is just using you?"
"You..." Shen i stamred, her voice laced with shock and disbelief.
Qin Feiyang said, "Are you wondering how I know? Let
tell you, I know everything, including why you ca looking for Ren Wushuang."
"That’s impossible!" Shen i shook her head, her face a mask of disbelief.
"You truly are a pitiful woman," Qin Feiyang sighed deeply.
SWOOSH!
Just then, three figures appeared out of thin air.
Two of them were the City Lord and Master Lu.
The other was also an elderly man. He had white hair and a white beard, and wore a white robe. He resembled a subli master, exuding an otherworldly aura.
"Huh?" Shen i was stunned when she saw the three of them.
Master Lu and the white-haired old man also seed a bit taken aback upon spotting Qin Feiyang, Ren Wushuang, and Shen i in the training room.
"Greetings, City Lord."
"Greetings, Lord Lu."
After recovering her senses, Shen i quickly bowed.
"Mm," the City Lord nodded, glancing curiously at Qin Feiyang as if to ask why Shen i was also present.
Qin Feiyang gave him a reassuring look and chuckled. "Now we just wait for the main character to arrive."
A cold glint flashed in Master Lu’s eyes. He turned to the City Lord and frowned. "Sir, did you call Old Shen and
here just to watch this brat run wild?"
"Master Lu, what’s the rush?" Qin Feiyang teased. "Are you perhaps afraid because of a guilty conscience?"
"Ridiculous!" Master Lu sneered. "I act with integrity. What do I have to fear?"
"If you’re not afraid, then don’t be so anxious," Qin Feiyang smiled faintly. He looked at the white-haired old man and cupped his hands. "You must be the esteed elder, Shen i’s grandfather, the City Lord of West City!"
The white-haired old man nodded and smiled. "It’s true what they say; eting you surpasses any reputation. Young man, you are indeed as remarkable as rumored."
Qin Feiyang smiled. "You flatter , Elder. Please forgive my presumption in inviting you here."
"Hmm?" Master Lu and the white-haired old man were taken aback and looked at the City Lord questioningly.
"That’s right," the City Lord nodded. "It was Qin Feiyang who asked you to co."
Master Lu’s gaze flickered. The white-haired old man also looked bewildered.
At the sa ti, a flicker of panic showed in Shen i’s eyes.
She walked over to Qin Feiyang and whispered, "Qin Feiyang, I beg you, don’t tell the City Lord and the others about this."
"Why?" Qin Feiyang frowned. "For yourself, or for Lu Xingchen?"
"I..." Shen i trailed off, at a loss for words.
Qin Feiyang shook his head. "Don’t continue being a fool. It won’t do you any good."
The City Lord and the two elders were incredibly powerful; even though Shen i and Qin Feiyang spoke softly, their words were clearly heard.
The white-haired old man turned to Shen i, frowning. "Girl, what’s going on?"
Flustered, Shen i stamred, "Grandpa, I..."
At that mont, the Wolf King’s boisterous voice rang out from outside.
"The star of the show has arrived! Everyone, a round of applause, please!"
Before his voice had even faded, Shi Ming and Lu Xingchen appeared at the entrance of the training room.
"Why are there so many people?" Both were stunned upon seeing the City Lord, Qin Feiyang, and the others inside the training room.
Simultaneously, when Master Lu saw the two, a sense of foreboding rose within him.
"What are you愣staring at?" the Wolf King strode over and barked. "Hurry up and get in!"
Lu Xingchen and Shi Ming exchanged glances and hurried into the training room, bowing. "Greetings, City Lord. Greetings, City Lord Shen."
The City Lord acknowledged them with a slight nod.
Qin Feiyang ordered, "White-Eyed Wolf, close the door!"
"You got it!"
With a wave of its paw, the White-Eyed Wolf slamd the stone door shut with a BANG!
The sound of the stone door closing made Lu Xingchen shudder. He imdiately looked at Shen i.
However, Shen i kept her head down, avoiding his gaze.
Did she betray ? Lu Xingchen wondered, bewildered.
Qin Feiyang scanned the crowd and said calmly, "Now that everyone’s here, let’s deal with the first matter."
He looked at Lu Xingchen. "Regarding what you had Shen i do earlier—will you confess, or shall I say it for you?"
Lu Xingchen’s heart trembled. He glared at Shen i and roared, "So you did betray ! You treacherous woman! I should never have trusted you!"
"What?"
Except for Qin Feiyang and the White-Eyed Wolf, everyone else looked astonished.
Shen i recovered, looked up at Lu Xingchen, and demanded angrily, "What do you an by that?"
Lu Xingchen’s face contorted with rage. "I trusted you so much, yet you betrayed ! Let
tell you, if I’m going down, you’re coming with !"
"You actually think I betrayed you?" Shen i looked at him, disbelief etched on her face.
"If you didn’t tell him, how would Qin Feiyang know?" Lu Xingchen roared.
Tears of grievance instantly welled up in Shen i’s eyes.
"Can you see his true colors now?" Qin Feiyang said, shaking his head. "He’s been using you from the very beginning. All those sweet nothings he whispered were just lies to deceive you."
"I was blind," Shen i whispered, closing her eyes, her face etched with pain.
