65: Chapter 32 A Glimpse of Skill_2 65: Chapter 32 A Glimpse of Skill_2 Xinhuai Wang nodded with a look of half-understanding, this wasn’t too hard to do.

Li Dazhi took the announcent and read it carefully, then, pointing to the third vertical line, he said in a gentle voice, “Before the words ‘a special eting is hereby called within the sect,’ you can add two more sentences.”

“What would you like to add, Ancestral Master?

Weren’t you just asking to keep it concise?”

“Look, you’re not getting it!

Since this is your first ti doing this kind of task, I will give you so more guidance.”

Li Dazhi spoke seriously:

“Who should our entire Wanyun Sect unite around to continuously carry the sect forward and reach new heights?”

Xinhuai Wang’s broad, square face showed a touch of bewildernt, which quickly turned into a flash of realization: “The Founding Ancestor!”

“Oh, it’s the Sect Leader, the Sect Leader!

My master hasn’t concerned himself with worldly affairs for many years now, he doesn’t care about such titles!”

Li Dazhi, with a look of disdain on his face, frowned and said:

“In front of these words ‘within the sect,’ add a sentence ‘under the supervision of the Sect Leader and the care of all the inner hall Elders.’

“Also, before this conclusion, add another paragraph, say…

ah, got it.

“Since the founding of our Wanyun Sect, generation after generation of disciples has forged ahead, following the teachings of the three Ancestors, cultivating the spirit of diligence, promoting chivalry and righteousness, nurturing thousands of talents, and making outstanding contributions to the rise of the Human Race in the East Continent.

“I hope the newly initiated disciples will strive hard in their cultivation, serve the sect well, and in the upcoming Grand Competition, demonstrate moral character and style.”

“That will do.”

Xinhuai Wang listened and nodded repeatedly, feeling a wave of admiration within him.

‘No wonder the Ancestral Master Dazhi is so highly regarded by both the Founding Ancestor and the Sect Leader, with just a few simple sentences, he’s created such an imposing air.’

“The Ancestral Master’s insight is profound, I’ll get to it right away!”

“It’s hard work indeed.”

Li Dazhi nodded with a smile, then reminded him:

“Xinhuai, rember to make another announcent after the Grand Competition concludes.

That announcent should list everyone in the Preparatory Hall, from Elders to Executors, with their corresponding titles.

“Everyone has worked hard, so they certainly deserve so recognition.”

Xinhuai Wang was surprised and asked in a low voice: “Even the nas of Executors?”

Li Dazhi laughed and said: “As long as they’ve done work and have clear positions, write them directly.

For those without clear positions, add a miscellaneous duty at the end, sothing like assistant or aide, and write that as well.”

“Thank you, Ancestral Master!”

Xinhuai Wang’s simple and honest smile appeared as he walked, spirited, as if carried by the wind, suddenly full of drive.

Li Dazhi put down his teacup, stood up, and walked around the great hall, finding a deserted corner.

He took out the Jade Talisman Li Ping’an had given him and read it several tis, unable to help but sigh from the bottom of his heart.

“It surely has to be our Ping’an.”

Just as the Mundane Affairs Hall was bustling with activity, the atmosphere in a pavilion near the hermitage of Immortal Moyi beca heavy once more.

At this mont, even Immortal Moyi himself was sowhat uncertain.

Could this be what they call ‘Great Fortune’?

The pavilion was shrouded in a transparent barrier, obviously to facilitate discussion among the few Elders present.

An old female Elder frowned and said, “Li Dazhi truly keeps his cards close to his chest.

Today, in the Mundane Affairs Hall, he seed like a completely different person, catching entirely off guard.”

“He’s more than just mysterious.”

Elder Bi snorted coldly:

“I don’t know if you all understood today, but Li Dazhi is well-versed in the art of maneuvering for power.

“His scheming is far more complex than that of we Qi Cultivators who have long lived reclusively in the mountains!

“When you were discussing these matters in the Mundane Affairs Hall, he first intentionally showed weakness, playing quite the confounded role, until you had almost finished talking, then he suddenly began to counterattack.

“His move to set up the Preparatory Hall was truly brilliant, claiming it was to simplify and make it easier for the Immortals to work, and he firmly grasped the authority that the Sect Leader had given him.

“Originally, as long as we held the identity of Elders, we could have a say in matters concerning the Grand Competition.

“But now with the establishnt of the Preparatory Hall, overseen by Elders and Executors he personally invited, he has easily excluded us.

Though we are Elders, we are not part of his Preparatory Hall, rendering us unable to influence the Grand Competition in the slightest!”

The four Elders who had previously flattered and squeezed Li Dazhi in the Mundane Affairs Hall had sowhat gloomy expressions.

“This round is certainly won by Ancestral Master Dazhi.”

An outer hall Elder sighed:

“It’s not our fault.

The Ancestral Master Dazhi has shown us his hand today, truly opening my eyes.”

“Are we just going to watch him flaunt his power in the Mundane Affairs Hall?”

“You can’t talk like that,” Moyi the Immortal said with a smile, “Younger Brother Dazhi is following the Sect Leader’s orders, and is now also doing his utmost to fulfill them, how can you call that flaunting power?”

The few outer hall Elders quickly nodded: “The Vice Sect Leader speaks the truth.”

Moyi the Immortal continued: “As for this matter, let’s just let it go.”

“Let it go?”

Elder Bi frowned and said:

“The Sect Leader is so partial to Li Dazhi, are we supposed to swallow our anger silently?”

“It’s not about swallowing anger,” Moyi the Immortal said seriously,

“You Elders being dissatisfied with Dazhi for the Sect Leader’s partiality is one thing, but the matter of the internal Grand Competition is another.

“With the Grand Competition, we’ve already received responses from sixteen Immortal sects, and there will surely be distinguished guests in abundance, friends aplenty.

If we’re discordant and it leads to any sort of embarrassnt, wouldn’t we be laughed at by the others?

“If you’re dissatisfied with Younger Brother Dazhi, you can take the matter up behind closed doors.

“If any trouble arises during the Grand Competition, I will personally report Younger Brother Dazhi’s misconduct to the Sect Leader; but if the Grand Competition proceeds smoothly and everyone is satisfied, there’s no need to bring it up again, simply observe how things unfold.”

The Elders nodded to themselves.

Yet Elder Bi slightly furrowed his brow, a touch of contemplation flashing across his eyes.

Moyi the Immortal said with a smile: “Since there’s nothing much happening next, why don’t I host a feast of Immortals and have a few days of festivity.”
