"Hmm, you can think of it as the heavens," East Emperor Taiyi laughed slightly, "the true heavens... I’m a bit unfit as the king."

"Why does the king say so?"

Li Ping’an frowned as he looked at the two people below.

The aning of East Emperor Taiyi couldn’t be more obvious.

These two people were indeed sent by Mr. Wangri.

The middle-aged man on the left had a firm face, narrow eyes, and wore purple armor. He had an eight-part mustache and a faintly obscure Dao Charm surrounding him.

When using Immortal Consciousness to probe, Li Ping’an couldn’t determine the other’s strength.

Now that they were a bit closer, he could directly feel the strength of the Dao Charm and thus determine...

This person’s strength was probably not inferior to Xuan Du Da Fa Shi.

And that woman was even more terrifying.

When Li Ping’an looked at the woman dressed lightly, what he saw wasn’t a re silhouette, but a ball of fla.

Pure, ultimate Fire Dao!

She was white as jade, with crystalline, warm skin beneath which seed to flow a cold fla. Her long pale purple hair stread behind her like water, and her immortal skirt, made of only a few pieces of fabric, seed as if it could be consud by fire at any mont.

A master.

At least an expert of the Cut Three Corpses level.

The destructive power of her Divine Skills was imasurable; she could probably engulf the entire Southern Continent in flas in an instant.

Goodness, these are the teacher’s subordinates?

The woman didn’t even glance at Li Ping’an, quietly eating fruit. The low table in front of her was filled with various chilled lons and fruits, of which she seed quite fond.

The middle-aged man in armor smiled, clasped his hands, and bowed to Li Ping’an:

"Outsider cultivator Wentian, I greet you, Daoist friend."

Li Ping’an squinted, smiling: "Sent by the heavens to monitor, so should I call you a Heavenly ssenger?"

East Emperor Taiyi, slightly intoxicated, sensed sothing unusual at this mont.

"Do you know each other?"

"First ti eting," Li Ping’an said, "with such strange talents, how could I know them."

Wentian laughed: "You’re being too polite. This Poor Daoist spends most of his years in slumber; otherwise, my body and soul might have already collapsed. Indeed, it’s my first eting with you, Daoist friend, but on my way here, I heard plenty of rumors about you."

Li Ping’an’s expression visibly darkened.

Wentian deliberately revealed his identity.

East Emperor Taiyi frowned and asked: "Rumors? Uncle Wentian, what do you an?"

"Does the king not know?" Wentian blinked his eyes, then hurriedly picked up a cup, saying, "Sorry, sorry, This Poor Daoist spoke too much."

East Emperor Taiyi seed to have thought of sothing, turning his head to glare at Li Ping’an.

Li Ping’an raised his hand to rub his forehead, about to say a few words in explanation, at least apologize since he had been lurking beside East Emperor Taiyi for so many years, fishing for so many secrets.

Unexpectedly, East Emperor Taiyi suddenly laughed: "Uncle Wentian, are you talking about his true identity?"

Li Ping’an was montarily stunned.

East Emperor Taiyi picked up his cup, sipped with a smile, and said unhurriedly: "I wondered what it was."

Wentian laughed: "The king has known for a long ti?"

"Is my spiritual sense that poor?"

East Emperor Taiyi put down the cup, speaking with a hint of drunkenness:

"Originally, we had an understanding between us, watching over and assisting each other, and my father was happy to see beco friends with him."

"Uncle Wentian, you just had to reveal it, which will surely make things awkward between us later."

"I’m just a mundane king. When pretending to be oblivious, he can call king, but now that I can’t pretend anymore, what should I do?"

The woman frowned at Wentian, saying coldly: "I’ve told you, you always like to ddle."

Wentian, smiling, nodded and hurriedly apologized: "It’s This Poor Daoist’s fault, it’s This Poor Daoist’s fault. I’ll punish myself with three cups!"

"My na is Zi Yuan," the purple-haired woman said softly, nodding slightly to Li Ping’an as a form of greeting, "The master sent here to supervise the two of you in smoothly advancing the Investiture of the Gods Cataclysm. If there’s any change that displeases the master, I’ll burn this world to ash at any ti."

Wentian also added: "Heavenly Emperor, don’t worry. We won’t act directly without the master’s order. We’re not bloodthirsty demons; we just have different goals and ideals."

"Ideals?"

Li Ping’an responded warmly:

"Hearing those words from you, Daoist friend, for so reason, I always think there’s a trace of irony."

"Irony?"

Wentian calmly replied: "This Poor Daoist thinks that this world where Your Majesty holds high the banner of rebellion is the real irony."

Splat!

A grape struck Wentian’s face, bursting into tiny jade beads.

Zi Yuan coldly said: "You talk too much."

Wentian wiped his face, not seeming angry.

Mainly because he couldn’t win against Zi Yuan.

"Alright," East Emperor Taiyi stood up, "I’ve arranged a place for you to stay. Later, I’ll have the guards take you there. In the anti, avoid showing yourselves too much. There are so Three Teachings experts in the city; if you want to fight, do it outside the sky. Let these mortals live peacefully a few more years."

"As you command," Wentian smiled, rising, "though it doesn’t make much difference."

Zi Yuan said: "You can call us if needed, I’ll be right above the Southern Continent."

Her figure flickered and disappeared from sight.

Li Ping’an suddenly asked: "Daoist Wentian, can I inquire about Lu Ya’s status?"

"He’s fine for now," Wentian smiled, "That Golden Crow of impure descent, the master is just using him for so sches, and once done, he’ll be sent to you to be killed as you please."

"Really?"

Li Ping’an responded noncommittally, watching Wentian leave the hall with his hands behind his back.

East Emperor Taiyi stood up, flicked his sleeves, and walked briskly towards the back door of the hall. Li Ping’an picked up a piece of at pie, chewing as he followed closely behind.
