Chapter 1558: Chapter 561: Master of Deception (Part 2)
“Do you know what the cost is? The cost is that there is no longer immortality, immortals can only reach the realm of True Immortal, and as the spiritual energy of the vast wilderness heaven and earth transforms into a massive galaxy cluster and continues to dissipate, the path of cultivation will gradually vanish, and in about a few billion years, the desolate civilization will completely disappear.
“He actually thought of dinsional reduction.”
The Wang Ri Old Man clicked his tongue lightly, and a few more glimrs appeared on his face.
He then fell into confusion:
“But how can he break through the dinsional barrier? That is sothing even a Transcender cannot achieve, and creatures of the vast wilderness heaven and earth will disintegrate during dinsional reduction, and the re-sequencing and concealnt of the Avenue of Ti will have a severe impact on all the Dao principles, even the Daluo Golden Immortal will be destroyed.
“Isn’t this still the destruction of the current civilization?”
The Wang Ri Old Man muttered to himself, walking leisurely to the side, entering into a mode of deep thought.
Taoist Hongjun and Daoist Zheyun exchanged glances.
Hongjun whispered, “He just now seed to reveal the evolution of the Chaos Sea.”
“He knows everything.”
Daoist Zheyun’s eyes were full of admiration:
“That’s also why this poor Daoist follows him, he can always answer this poor Daoist’s doubts.”
“Although I don’t quite understand what Daoyou really ans,” Hongjun murmured, “but this ti, it seems that the Heavenly Emperor has found the correct path to counter Wangri Daoyou.”
In the corner.
The Chaos Bell folded her arms and pondered slightly, intelligence flowing in her beautiful eyes.
At the sa mont.
In the small courtyard above the nine heavens, the Taiqing Saint was calculating sothing with his head bowed, occasionally showing confusion and sudden realization in his eyes.
In the painting outside the main hall of the Jade Void Palace, Yuanshi Tianzun kept fiddling with the Pangu Banner, his eyes full of doubt.
In the Heavenly Court, Heavenly Work Pavilion.
Already in the heated discussion phase in the Immortal Palaces.
Li Ping’an watched the masters whose thoughts were already open in front of him, and sighed slightly in his heart.
Beside him, Li Dazhi leaned in closer to Li Ping’an, tugging at his arm and whispering:
“Have you truly realized so many things? Why do I feel you’re kind of half bluffing?”
“Dad, you really didn’t feel wrong.”
Li Ping’an curled the corner of his mouth:
“Do you know about the Space War plan?”
“Of course, which era am I from, how can I not know? Wasn’t this the Aricans fooling the Soviets?”
“Just concept peddling, strategic deception.”
Li Ping’an chuckled and murmured:
“Give the eminent ones spying this place a little sci-fi shock.
“Who really knows how to reduce dinsions.
“Moreover, dinsional theory and such may be even less reliable than cultivation; I’m studying chemistry, not these things, just know a little concept.”
Li Dazhi:…
Li Ping’an squinted his eyes slightly: “The second path is the plan I truly want to push forward, but this requires the united effort of heaven and earth, and the importance of the Investiture of the Gods Cataclysm lies here; we need enough power of living beings to hunt the Chaotic Behemoth.”
“Alright, alright then.”
Li Dazhi sniffed: “I’ll provide logistical support to everyone.”
“I’ll go find Yun Zhongzi teacher, and still have to craft so mass-produced Magic Artifacts usable in chaos.”
…
Li Dazhi was busy in the Heavenly Work Pavilion for four or five days.
As the Minister of Finance for the Heavenly Court, his main work was to provide logistical support to various artifact refining masters;
Seeing that resources weren’t needed to be allocated temporarily and the masters had started their joint developnt lasting from a few months to decades, Li Dazhi arranged for a few subordinates to keep watch and strolled back to his residence in the Heavenly Court.
Yao Ji had just returned from Dou Rate Palace today, and was chatting with Xiaoyue and Wen Rou in the back hall.
Li Dazhi didn’t disturb the gathering of the ladies, though he had a father-daughter relationship with Yao Ji, most of the ti he just watched from afar.
All in all, it was far less close than with Li Ping’an.
Li Dazhi returned to his quiet room for cultivation, where the Self-moving Immortal Armor served tea and snacks, and the maids waiting outside the door were also dismissed by Li Dazhi.
He cald his mind, lay on the soft couch with eyes closed for a short rest, dissipating the fatigue accumulated over the past half month.
Li Dazhi’s cultivation was now considered at ‘acceptable level’ of a master, ntally energetic and physically vigorous;
It was just that too much complicated business in the Heavenly Court, coupled with many things needing brainpower to think recently, caused Li Dazhi to feel fatigued.
While sleeping, his Dao Body suddenly trembled a few tis and he woke up abruptly.
Quiet all around.
The Self-moving Immortal Armor in the corner of the room activated automatically, moved forward two steps, its chest Spirit Stone faintly flashing light, waiting for Li Dazhi’s command.
Suddenly, urgent footsteps ca from outside, and Xiaoyue had already pushed the door and entered.
“Husband, what’s wrong with you?”
Xiaoyue hurriedly asked:
“The Conjugal Heart Stone just moved, why do you look a bit pale?”
“It’s nothing,” Li Dazhi forced a smile, patted Xiaoyue’s hand, and closed his eyes to concentrate.
The disheveled figure of East Emperor Taiyi once again appeared in front of Li Dazhi.
Li Dazhi pondered for a mont, unsure how to describe it.
Xiaoyue took out two Elixir Pills ant to calm the mind, hoping Li Dazhi would take them.
Li Dazhi waved his hand and said with a smile: “I’m really fine, just suddenly thought of sothing unpleasant.”
Xiaoyue sat by the bedside and gently asked: “I know you worry and work hard for the Heavenly Court, but you also need to rest more. With so many celestial beings in the Heavenly Court, why do you tire yourself so much?”
“There’s no small matter in finance,” Li Dazhi sighed with a smile, “and there’s only so many years left to be busy. Once the Investiture of the Gods Catastrophe is over, and the Heavenly Court has many capable officials, I can rest easy and retire. Then, I can be with you and Rou’er every day until you get tired of in a few years.”
Xiaoyue pursed her lips and smiled softly.
Li Dazhi added: “By the way, later, you and Rou’er should prepare, as we’re moving near Dou Shuai Palace.”
“Why?”
“Being close to powerful figures gives a sense of security and we might get so Elixir Pills as well.”
Li Dazhi sighed, saying:
“Currently, there’s not much I can help Ping’an with, but I can guard the Heavenly Court’s accounts and finances well.
“Rember to take Yao Ji to see those two little ones; after all, she is their aunt.”
Xiaoyue softly said: “This matter, please don’t worry about it, your Excellency. You should rest first. Since it’s not easy for Yao Ji to visit the Heavenly Court, I’ll call Rou’er to et, and later she’ll be going back to continue being a grandmother.”
Li Dazhi grinned broadly as he lay back down under Xiaoyue’s care.
He secretly cast a spell to temporarily erase the figure of East Emperor Taiyi from his mind, just as he was about to close his eyes and rest.
“Report—”
Outside, the call of the Heavenly Soldiers was heard.
“Speak.”
“Your Excellency! The Ten Heavens Lords of Jinao Island request to see you! They are now waiting outside the South Heavenly Gate!”
“Oh? Why have they co?”
Li Dazhi stretched and sat up, thinking how even resting has beco a luxury, gathered his energy, took a few ntal-replenishing pills, and floated out hands behind his back.
A mont later, five Intercepting Sect Immortals arrived at the mansion and were led to the front hall by Li Dazhi, who waited at the entrance.
This place had already been prepared with fine wine, exquisite dishes, dancing girls, and musicians.
Seeing Qin Wan and the others didn’t seem to be in any hurry, Li Dazhi refrained from actively asking why they had co but instead pulled them in for eating, drinking, and chatting, making for a joyous gathering of host and guests.
After a few jade jugs of Immortal Brew, Qin Wan got a bit tipsy, nodded to Li Dazhi, and said earnestly:
“This Poor Daoist will not beat around the bush. Brother Li, today we have co to ask for two things.”
Li Dazhi cheerfully poured wine for Qin Wan and replied warmly: “No need to stand on ceremony. You are treating like an outsider, aren’t you? Tell your request, and if I can resolve it, I will. If I can’t, I’ll let you know transparently!”
“Good!”
Qin Wan slapped his thigh, causing his ancient robe to tremble lightly.
He continued earnestly: “Truthfully, this matter is a bit difficult for fellow Daoist. It’s not really about anything else; the Southern Continent is now open. We were thinking, we too want to go in to recruit so disciples.”
“That’s a good thing!”
Li Dazhi chuckled:
“The Intercepting Sect is a great sect of the world, but the number of Human Race disciples has always been relatively low. Increasing our connection with the Human Race would undoubtedly be a good thing of the highest order.
“Is there sothing procedural? The Heavenly Court has opened the application channels. Do you need to help allocate so good areas for you?”
“These are minor matters indeed.”
“Ahem hmm!”
Qin Wan cleared his throat, murmuring:
“As of now, the Heavenly Dao has already deduced that the Daoist Celestial Consecration Tribulation is related to the mundane world of the Southern Continent.
“We were thinking, could we recruit a few disciples in so key areas of the Southern Continent’s mundane world that might help our Intercepting Sect pass this great calamity?”
Upon hearing this, Li Dazhi frowned in mild contemplation.
He thought of Wen Zhong, the influential Grand Preceptor of the Shang Dynasty in the investiture narrative, who seed to be a disciple of the Intercepting Sect.
But this matter…
“I’ll have to discuss this with His Majesty.”
Li Dazhi spoke solemnly:
“Let’s not play the roundabout ga here; this matter is significant, and I cannot answer directly on behalf of the brothers.
“Why don’t you wait here, and I’ll go and consult His Majesty’s opinion. As long as His Majesty agrees, then this can be done rightfully and openly.”
Qin Wan and the others exchanged glances, stood up, and perford a Daoist salute to Li Dazhi, who hurriedly insisted there was no need and encouraged them to eat, drink, and enjoy the singing and dancing as he swiftly rode a cloud back to the Heavenly Work Pavilion.
