A rustling sound ca from the side.
A faint celestial light shimred around Zi Yao Xianzi, and her inner robes and long dress adorned her neatly, covering her flawless, delicate skin. Her slightly unruly long hair braided itself into two plaits.
She stood up skillfully from the bed, and once Li Ping’an rose, she began to dress and comb his hair.
"Is it ti for Your Majesty to head to the Chaos Sea again?"
"Yes," Li Ping’an smiled, his Dao Body leaving shallow ripples, causing a noticeable wrinkle in the cosmos, "this should be the final lesson. Once I leave this ti, you can take Ningning and the others back to the Heavenly Court."
Zi Yao hesitated for a mont, "Are you ending your closed-door cultivation?"
"I can’t possibly return later than the Six Saints,"
Li Ping’an looked at Zi Yao and smiled:
"What, have you done sothing in the Heavenly Court that you don’t want to know about?"
Zi Yao said with grievance, "Your Majesty, please don’t speak like this. How could any whisper in the Heavenly Court escape your notice? I rely tightened the heavenly regulations significantly, causing so minor discontent among the celestial beings. Wasn’t this all so that upon your return, you could publicly scold a few tis, quickly restoring the prestige of the Heavenly Emperor?"
Li Ping’an squinted his eyes, smiling, and gently pinched Zi Yao’s cheek. She gazed at him longingly, lightly biting her lip, letting out a soft, dissatisfied hum from her nose.
They were like an old couple already;
Yet Emperor Li Tian still felt a ripple in his heart.
He laughed, "I only asked you to be severe in punishnts, but what did you do? Three hundred years ago, you began forbidding the Heavenly Soldiers and Generals from courting the Yaochi Fairy."
Zi Yao slightly pouted, "Desire is the beginning of downfall; the Heavenly Court is the center of divine authority, so I didn’t do anything wrong."
"I’ll check it out when I return."
Li Ping’an said:
"After this closed-door cultivation, I should also make a trip to the Undying Volcano. My teacher insists that I must comprehend the Nirvana Divine Power on my own."
Zi Yao blinked: "Then how long will it take Your Majesty to return to the Heavenly Court?"
"At most a hundred years, at least thirty to fifty years."
Li Ping’an’s eyes were full of amusent:
"What, feeling guilty? Afraid that my return would affect your power under the growing authority of the Queen Mother?"
Zi Yao said, "Not really guilty, but when Your Majesty returns, you’ll probably be quite surprised. East Continent, the Misty Realm has completely changed."
"I’ll have to see it when I return, see how much my old father has shaken things up... I’ll go talk to Ningning about ending the closed-door cultivation."
Li Ping’an’s figure transford into a wisp of dust, disappearing in the wind:
"Yao Er, rember to release the news in advance, saying that I will return to the Heavenly Court before the return of the Six Saints, to observe the Chanjie Dual Sects’ reactions."
"Yes, Yao Er complies~"
Zi Yao watched in the direction Li Ping’an left, leaning quietly against the screen, with a hint of hesitation in her eyes.
Not to ntion the six to seven hours spent at Ningning Mu’s place;
Li Ping’an took a stroll through Xuan Capital City, where many celestial beings who had stayed for hundreds of years were preparing to return.
The Roc Bird was already on its way to fetch people.
This ti, Li Ping’an deliberately brought along his battle body, unused for centuries.
Soon, this battle body would be consud as nourishnt by the true self.
Before heading into the Chaos Sea, Li Ping’an specifically sought out the Great Mage, intending to thank him for the ’hospitality’ of the past hundreds of years. However, just as he appeared on the city wall, the Great Mage let out a soft "Hmm."
"Hmm?"
The Great Mage sized up Li Ping’an, squinting and smiling:
"Your teacher truly lives up to being a Transcender.
"It itches lately, shall we spar a bit?"
Li Ping’an was montarily stunned, smiling wryly, "How could I possibly be a match for you, Master-Uncle."
"Co, co!" The Great Mage rolled up his sleeves, "I’ll get a taste of the Transcender’s skills in advance, there will surely be a battle with him in the future."
Li Ping’an was sowhat tempted too.
Although he hadn’t yet absorbed his battle body, his newly created divine power had already achieved perfection. The Gonggong cultivation thod had been renad, and his own strength was no longer assessable by the usual standards of the Desolate Era.
By competing with the Great Mage, he could gain a clear understanding of his current power level.
He said, "Master-Uncle, let’s not use treasures, okay?"
"Very well," the Great Mage lightly raised an eyebrow, "I’ll use only ten percent of my mana. Don’t worry, show more of those unique skills the Transcender taught you."
Li Ping’an lowered his head in a Daoist salute, and when he raised it, an imposing aura erupted from his entire being.
As if a sword was unsheathed, like a tiger erging from a cage.
A cascade of Treasure Wheels appeared behind him, his Daoist Robe burst apart, revealing his azure body, the Slaughter Path condensed into a sharp sword.
The Great Mage silently praised and casually pointed with his left hand.
Li Ping’an’s figure shot forward!
