Guilingling was about to tease Li Ping’an further but was gently tugged by Mother Wudang under the table. She obediently closed her mouth.
Qing Su suddenly asked, “Have you figured out how you’ll explain all this to Ningning?”
“Hmm,” Li Ping’an paused, “I’ll be straightforward and hope for leniency.”
“Let talk to her for you,” Qing Su said. “Several individuals had previously approached , persuading to advise you to accept General Lady Ba as a ans of stabilizing the morale of the Human Race army. You’re in a difficult position on many fronts.”
“Master…”
“Just eat,” Qing Su interrupted softly, lowering her gaze and continuing to pick dishes. Her frosty deanor betrayed no emotion.
Luo Xuejing quickly shifted topics: “Your Majesty, the Queen Mother of the West previously invited you to visit the Kunlun Secret Realm. Are you planning to go?”
“Not for now,” said Li Ping’an. “I’ll send the Jade Pool a gift instead and imdiately return to the Misty Realm for closed-door cultivation.”
When it ca to official matters, Li Ping’an’s thoughts quickly cleared, and he sternly instructed:
“Luo Immortal Official, stay in the Eastern Alliance to assist my father. He’s going to be busy, so you’re permitted to summon thirty Immortal Officials for support.

“A man,” Li Ping’an said with a wry smile. “A male officer would be less likely to stir suspicions. I have to start paying attention to my reputation in these matters.”
Luo Xuejing imdiately replied, “I will issue the order to the Heavenly Square Pavilion to propose suitable candidates.”
With that, Luo Xuejing bowed deeply, extended her salutations to the Intercepting Sect veterans at the table, and hastily withdrew.
Li Ping’an picked up a piece of slightly unsightly spirit-fish at and found it to be a flavor he’d never encountered before—surprisingly delicious.
Mother Wudang smiled and said, “Your Majesty, there is another matter. Senior Brother asked to inquire with you.”

“Does the Heavenly Court still want the Dao Soldiers of the Western Sect? We’ve intercepted several batches outside the heavens, totaling more than two million.”
“Oh?”
Li Ping’an’s eyes lit up:
“Of course we want them… but this ti, I assu the Intercepting Sect refrained from shattering any micro-worlds, yes?”
“Naturally, we would not dare destroy them lightly,” Mother Wudang said with a soft laugh. “Senior Brother said you can settle this per our original agreent regarding karmic rit allocation. It didn’t take much effort on the part of the disciples.”
Li Ping’an said, “Send the Dao Soldiers directly to the Misty Realm. However, the rit distribution will need to wait until the Inner Heavenly Dao turmoil is completely resolved.”
Shi Ji sighed and said, “Those Dao Soldiers are truly pitiable. They were originally created as a malford counterbalance to the Human Race’s immortal troops. As they conversed, Immortal Huanglong suddenly arrived from the southwest, riding the clouds. Before stepping through the door, he shouted loudly, “Ping’an! Your Majesty! Sothing terrible has happened!”
