After dealing with the Extraordinary Ones of the Glenbagen Family, Liens turned his attention to the remaining people.

Noticing Liens's gaze, those who hadn't had ti to escape imdiately cowered and retreated a few steps, and so imdiately knelt to beg Liens for rcy.

Listening to the cries and pleas for rcy, a hint of compassion arose in Liens's heart.

"I'm becoming more and more 'normal,' I'm actually starting to pity my enemies."

Liens sighed.

Then, using Heaven and Earth Killing Intent, he painlessly sent these hundreds of people to et their families.

And out of that hint of compassion, he dug a deep pit to bury the last of the Glenbagen Family, then returned to Kara City with their large and small bags of treasure.

Not long after Liens left, a muddy, blood-red hand suddenly erged from the Glenbagen Family's mass grave.

...

Upon returning to Kara City, Liens found Bard and placed the treasures taken by the Glenbagen Family in front of him.

Looking at the pile of items that ford a small mountain, Bard looked at Liens in confusion.

"These are the treasures taken by the Glenbagen Family's evacuees. I took a quick look, and besides so jewelry and gems, there are quite a few magical items."

"These things might be helpful for Kara City's future construction… I'll leave them to you."

Liens explained.

"Glenbagen… has this family, which had effectively controlled Kara City in all aspects for decades, finally t its end?"

Bard looked at the pile of treasures in front of him, his eyes filled with emotion.

"Don't be so sentintal. Have soone deal with this pile of things. If there are any magical items you don't recognize, go ask your Mr. Dolf."

"He's a magician, so he should recognize the items in here… I'll go back to the Military Fortress to rest later, in your office."

"If anything cos up, just send soone to notify there."

After speaking, Liens prepared to leave; he still had his own matters to attend to.

"Wait!"

Bard called out to Liens, who was about to leave. Liens looked at him, silently asking if he had anything else he needed to handle.

"I want to ask you to help Harriman and the other Dark Guards remove that contract. Only you in the entire Rebel Army can ensure its safe removal."

"That, I see… It's a good opportunity to study the situation of that contract."

It was a small matter, and Liens agreed to Bard's request without much thought.

"They are all at the Inner City Gate now, under supervision as prisoners of war."

Bard continued.

Liens nodded, then quickly disappeared from Bard's sight, arriving at the Inner City Gate shortly after.

Seeing the figure descending from the sky, the stationed Rebel Army soldiers imdiately reported the situation to their commander, and several stationed knights, including Gars, quickly ca before Liens.

"Heier, no, Mr. Liens, do you have any important business here?"

Gars respectfully inquired about Liens's purpose. Although his appearance was different, he always rembered that voice.

"Long ti no see, Gars, you seem a bit distant like this."

Liens chuckled, then without dwelling on the topic, he directly stated his purpose: "I'm here to help those Dark Guards remove their contract. Where are they?"

Upon hearing this, Gars imdiately led Liens to the place where the prisoners of war were held.

In a fenced-off open space, nurous soldiers who originally belonged to the Inner City faction sat idly on the ground, chatting.

Through his keen perception, Liens quickly found Harriman among the group.

"Long ti no see, Harriman."

Liens greeted Harriman.

"Yes, long ti no see, Liens."

Harriman quickly stood up, maintaining a certain distance from Liens, then responded with a seemingly relaxed smile.

Liens could sense Harriman's nervousness, but just as he didn't know how to reduce Gars's distance, he also didn't know how to alleviate Harriman's tension at this mont.

He could only pretend not to notice, maintaining the sa attitude as before, and said to Harriman:

"It seems you're in good spirits, not injured. Co, extend your hand, I'll remove that Glenbagen Family contract for you."

Upon hearing this, Harriman obediently extended his hand. Liens grasped it and carefully sensed Harriman's condition.

After a while, Liens's brows furrowed slightly, which made Harriman even more nervous, thinking sothing was wrong with the contract.

"What's wrong?"

Harriman cautiously asked.

"Nothing, just a little unexpected… I thought I had misperceived it earlier, but I didn't expect that contract to have indeed been canceled."

"Looking at the elental residue in your body, it seems it's been so ti, and I don't know if it's due to the demise of the Glenbagen Family."

Knowing that his expression had frightened Harriman, Liens explained.

"The contract has been lifted… Oh, right, on the battlefield earlier, I suddenly felt my body break free from so restraint, but I didn't pay much attention to it at the ti because of the situation."

"Perhaps the contract was lifted then?"

Harriman said after recalling for a mont.

"Is that so… In that case, the cancellation of the contract might be related to Earl Bard's death."

"Never mind that, no matter the reason, it's a good thing the contract is lifted… Here, take this."

Liens didn't pay too much attention, and after saying a few irrelevant words with a smile, he took sothing out of his belt space and handed it to Harriman.

"What is this?"

Looking at the colorful potion in his hand, Harriman rembered sothing, but still asked Liens with uncertainty.

"This is an Elental Baptism Potion. If you're lucky, this thing should help you beco an Extraordinary Knight."

"Of course, if you're unlucky, I'll have to attend your funeral."

"So, it's up to you whether you drink it."

Liens explained.

Silently gazing at the potion in his hand, Harriman's expression was very complex.

Liens didn't continue to wait for Harriman's decision. He then selected a few Dark Guards, confird that the Glenbagen Family's Dark Guard contracts had been lifted, and then left.

Tonight was not even halfway over; the remaining ti belonged to him.

Returning to the Military Fortress, Liens retrieved his package from Bard's office, took out a spare set of clothes, and changed out of the deceased's belongings.

Then he found a spot against the wall, leaned against it, and entered the instance.

Outside the door.

The two guards on duty listened to the faint movents coming from inside the room, and for a mont, they didn't know whether they should open the door and take a look.

"Should we go in and check the situation?"

One guard asked his companion.

"What do you think? Commander Bard told us to be stationed here tonight, and no one is allowed into this room except him."

His companion rolled his eyes.

"The fortress is so quiet now, I feel like it's just the two of us left in the whole fortress, it's too quiet, it feels a bit scary."

The guard shivered, as if he had thought of so terrifying story.

His companion looked at him speechlessly, inwardly complaining about his colleague's unnecessary dramatization, then seriously continued his duty, no longer paying attention to his colleague's antics.
