Kumogakure forces progressed further amongst the front lines, they were finally pushing the enemy back. As the conflict advanced, the drugged-enhanced berserkers inevitably felt the pressure from the village's reginted military
The cloud ninja were becoming more organized, creating supply lines with Genin assistance, sending dical aid, and receiving support from the Network
Moving with perfect unity, squads separated the "LIFT" using criminals, singling each individual out as they were too dangerous to engage in groups
Only squads of the strongest shinobi did otherwise...

The won of Team Mabui were especially diligent in their efforts, eliminating most of these troubleso foes. Samui stayed with Mabui, acting as a guard while the latter prepared her long-ranged Transportation Ninjutsu
Yugito had spent the majority of this battle in her "Tailed Beast Mode", now returned to her human form. Opting to conserve her remaining energy before suffering total exhaustion
Such a transformation consud much energy, mostly when prolonged for extended periods of ti. But even without her powerful transformation...

Now nearing its end, with the winning odds clearly in Kumogakure's favor, Red felt a little let down. While the LIFT was still a prototype, and many of the inmates from Hōzkui-jō weren't that skilled...she'd hoped for more

Back at the front, F continued rescue efforts for the wounded. He, along with a small squad were removing the injured from the battlefield and bringing them away from the frontline, closer to the supply chain near the village walls

"After assisting Dodai-sama, I was reassigned to the hospital next door. C-senpai ordered and other Genin to co here and bring supplies. There's a shortage of staff..."

F glanced at the battlefield, relieved the conflict was nearing its end. Tai timidly asked if he received word from the north and southern fronts
F easily deduced what the young man wanted. Tai's parents were stationed at those very locations, and reports from them were scarce. Dodai had to put his trust in the Yotsuki clan to defend the two key points while he focused on the village itself
Tai knew his father had long since defeated Nobuyuki Fūma, but he was unaware of whether or not the enemy had returned to retake the location. That, coupled with no news from the northern coastline his mother protected, anxiety naturally ran through his mind
"There's no need to worry, as you can see, this horrible ordeal will be behind us soon"
"Yes...finally"
"The only thing I'm worrying about now is how to explain all of this to Raikage-sama. He's gonna lose it once he sees all the damage, hahaha!"

As F made a little banter to cheer Tai up, the boy's attention turned elsewhere. A figure in white walking towards the village caught his eye

"Hey F-sensei, is that guy with us? He's just walking"

"Over there, do you see him?" Tai said as he pointed towards the approaching figure outside the field
The man continued his casual pace, like one walking down a sidewalk at night, uncaring for the circumstances around him. After several minutes of walking, he stopped and faced the village
He did nothing else but stare at Kumogakure, performing no other action for over a minute until opening the bag in his hand. In the process, his eyes turned red
Once F saw this, along with the bag's contents pouring into the man's other hand, he realized what this person was planning before screaming
The bag was full of LIFT pills...
"NEW ENEMY CONTACT!" F yelled with all his might, pointing towards the newcor
"E-Eh? Who? Wait, don't I know that guy?"
"Yeah, he's in the Bingo Book. That's the Chinoike leader...! It's Kyō! He's here!!"
Kyō ignored their yells as he swallowed the pills, and a mont after...

{Shit, too late!} F deeply lanted not warning everyone sooner

F knew chakra was split amongst the pill takers, and many on the enemy side were killed. Kyō wouldn't just receive a boost in power from the pills themselves...but from the other users as well

"All of that energy is pouring into him...is he gonna explode?!"
Incredible chakra burst from his very being, so much he felt like he was gonna die! But he didn't care. On his way here, he discovered his clan casualty number was far higher than he feared. Over two-thirds of his clan had perished tonight...
At first, he felt a great swirl of pity for this great loss. His heart was heavy, wracked with grief, but soon replaced by hatred. Hatred, for Kumogakure, for the Land of Lightning and its people
This spiteful fury provided the necessary strength to maintain his sanity upon receiving these new, inhuman powers

All of sudden, the battle ca to a halt. Everyone, even the inmates, all eyes were on Kyō as his absurdly powerful and disturbing chakra could be felt throughout the front line in it's entirety
"H-Hey, Mabui. You do realize what this--?"
"Yeah, I know Samui" {This chakra...it's like standing in front of Yugito in her Tailed Beast State!}
"How could he control it...?!" Yugito was in disbelief
As a Jinchūriki, she of all people knew how hard it was to control the power of a Tailed Beast
No longer waiting, Kyō raised his hands
