Chapter 1494: Chapter 1494: To Have or Not to Have
The flowers were in full bloom, and Xu Chaomu chose many picturesque spots to take photos.
Shen Chi accompanied her for a whole day. Thankfully, he had experience with magazine shoots, so taking wedding photos was effortless for him.
“Mr. Shen, Mrs. Shen, I’ll do so basic editing on the photos, and they’ll be ready in three days,” said the photographer after the shoot.
“All right,” Shen Chi replied.
Xu Chaomu was full of anticipation. She tilted her head and said to Shen Chi, “How about bringing our son along for a commorative shoot too?”
“Sure.”
Xu Chaomu smiled contentedly. As expected, her husband truly indulged her every wish.
“By the way, darling, Bai Man still won’t tell you where the video is, huh?” Xu Chaomu inquired.
“No, she’s steadfastly refusing, even after trying everything.”
“Do you think she’ll only give it to if I confront her myself?”
“I won’t let you go.” Shen Chi said firmly.
Although Bai Man was locked in a supervision room with layers of iron doors, Shen Chi was still uneasy. He feared Bai Man might say sothing hurtful to Xu Chaomu.
“It’s fine. If you’re worried, you can co along with .”
“I’ll handle this my way,” Shen Chi’s gaze darkened. “It’s just a surveillance video. Do you absolutely need it?”
“Yes, I need it!”
While driving, Shen Chi paused for a mont and glanced at her aningfully.
Xu Chaomu realized she’d misspoken and quickly covered her mouth.
During a red light stop, the car ca to a halt. Shen Chi leaned closer to her and spoke in an ambiguous tone, “You want it that badly?”
“No, I don’t want it.”
“Then what is it, want or don’t want?” Shen Chi smirked, his warm breath brushing against her face.
“I…” Xu Chaomu pinched him and demanded, “Focus on driving!”
“Let take you sowhere special,” Shen Chi’s eyes glead mischievously.
Xu Chaomu thought he would take her to a scenic spot or surprise her with sothing romantic.
Instead, he drove directly to a secluded area in the countryside where no one was around.
After parking, he raised the privacy screen and unbuckled her seatbelt.
“Hmm?” Xu Chaomu blinked innocently, clueless about his intentions.
Shen Chi leaned over her, his fingers gently caressing her face, tracing the elegant contours of her features.
“Didn’t you say you wanted it?” His voice hoarse, his throat moving.
She was wearing a thin, light yellow sweater that hugged her curves perfectly, making her appear exceptionally alluring.
“No… You very well know what I ant to say I wanted…”
“Hmm, as long as you want it.” Shen Chi sealed her unfinished words with a kiss on her lips.
Xu Chaomu pressed against his shoulder. What she wanted was the video, damn it! It was clearly Shen Chi himself who was taking things in another direction!
For heaven’s sake, Xu Chaomu was on the verge of breaking down—wasn’t it still dayti?
Shen Chi pushed her down onto the car seat and pressed a button, reclining the seat into a flat position.
His kisses landed on her lips, coaxing and entwining her, pulling her into his rhythm.
Left with no choice, Xu Chaomu wrapped her arms tightly around his shoulders. Unlike ho, this indeed… was thrilling. She couldn’t stop her heart from pounding wildly.
As he removed her sweater, she felt a chill run through her, prompting her to hold him even tighter.
“Hmm… Be gentle…” Xu Chaomu reminded him, “Make sure the windows are shut… Don’t let… Mmph…”
“Don’t worry,” Shen Chi murmured, his voice deep as he planted kiss after kiss on her body.
Shen Chi’s relentless passion left Xu Chaomu utterly exhausted; it seed her “dream man” wasn’t easy to take to bed after all.
As a child, she’d fantasized about sleeping with Shen Chi in various ways. Now, it was him using countless ways to consu her entirely.
Dream n weren’t ornantal pillows—they were visually stunning and… impressively capable.
Soon, sensual sounds filled the car.
Xu Chaomu tried to stifle her own reactions, mindful that it was broad daylight!
But Shen Chi tilted her chin slightly and teased, “The car’s soundproofing is excellent. Louder is fine.”
“…” Xu Chaomu’s face flushed scarlet.
The next mont, the sly Shen Chi added, “I specifically chose a car with the best soundproofing.”
“You… preditated this?”
“Hmm… Do you like it?”
“Can I say no? Ah…”
“No, you can’t.”
Xu Chaomu understood that her husband was an insatiable wolf. When it ca to such matters, he was always domineering, leaving no room to negotiate!
It was uncertain how much ti had passed before Shen Chi finally let her go.
He used wet wipes to help clean her up, and Xu Chaomu was even more convinced that everything had been part of his elaborate plan.
“There won’t be a next ti,” Xu Chaomu said, blushing furiously.
“Not satisfied? Or not liking this spot?”
“No, I’m just worried… What if soone sees us?”
“Then next ti, we’ll go to the Waterside Pavilion.”
“…”
On the way ho, Shen Chi received a call from the hospital.
“Mr. Shen, there’s a situation I need to discuss with you,” said the doctor.
This was the attending physician of Shen Shihan, who hadn’t shown any signs of recovery, and it had been a long ti since the doctor had called him.
“Go ahead, what’s the matter?”
“Mr. Shen’s condition isn’t looking great. In the last couple of days, there’s been intracranial bleeding.”
“How did this happen? Hasn’t the treatnt been ongoing?” Shen Chi frowned, his face darkening.
“We’ve maintained a conservative approach, and the experts are at their wits’ end. These matters depend on fate,” the doctor explained patiently.
“A doctor talking to about fate? Have you done your best?!” Shen Chi snapped.
“Mr. Shen, not performing surgery can sustain life, allowing us to wait for recovery gradually. But undergoing surgery carries a high risk of failure,” the doctor persisted. “Mrs. Mo has always opposed surgery.”
Shen Chi paused. Indeed, if anyone had to choose, they’d likely make the sa choice.
“So what’s the current situation?” Shen Chi asked.
“A minor surgery was just perford to stop the bleeding, but moving forward, you and Mrs. Mo will need to decide whether to opt for further surgery.”
“I’ll co by the hospital.”
“Alright, I’ll wait for you, Mr. Shen.”
After hanging up, Shen Chi tossed his phone aside.
Judging by his tone, Xu Chaomu quickly grasped the situation and nervously asked, “What’s going on with Third Brother? Is his condition bad?”
“Yeah, there’s an issue. I need to head to the hospital now. You take a cab ho,” Shen Chi said, then explained the situation to her.
“No, I’m going too!”
“The hospital isn’t the best place for you.”
“I’m not the young, naive girl I used to be. At tis like this, I want to be there for Shui Fu.”
“Be good. Go ho, I’ll handle it.”
“Can’t I co with you?”
“You can’t!”
“Fine.” Xu Chaomu turned away, visibly upset.
Shen Chi glanced at her helplessly. Under those circumstances, no one could predict what might happen, and he didn’t want her to witness anything unpleasant.
Shen Chi dropped Xu Chaomu off in front of a plaza. Observing her still sulking, he smirked and said, “Be good. Go ho first, and we’ll talk when I get back.”
Xu Chaomu ignored him, turned around, and flagged down a nearby taxi.
