Chapter 1365: Chapter 1365: Grandpa, Don’t Cry

Xiaobao loosened the servant’s hand and walked towards Xu Chaomu.

Children’s tempers co and go quickly; he still really likes his mom.

“Mommy!” Xiaobao called out, showing off his two rows of little white teeth.

“Xiaobao is the best, Mommy will hold you!” Xu Chaomu lifted him onto her lap and rubbed his little face.

Bai Xuan watched the little guy intently, his eyes exuding affection and joy, as the child looked quite like Xu Chaomu, resembling Shen Chi as well, and was particularly sensible and obedient.

His gaze stayed on Xiaobao for a long ti and did not shift away; several tis, he stretched out his hand wanting to hug Xiaobao but then withdrew it again.

“Mommy… where is this place…” Xiaobao curiously asked.

“Grandpa’s house.” Xu Chaomu explained with a smile.

It was another unfamiliar term, and Xiaobao did not react for a mont.

When Xu Chaomu ntioned “Grandpa’s house,” Bai Xuan couldn’t hold back his tears, and they spilled out of his eyes.

He discreetly wiped away the tears with a tissue, his eyes imbued with an unprecedented clarity and tenderness.

During this period, he didn’t go anywhere; he had stayed at the Bai Family’s ho. Forrly busy with business dealings around the world, rarely having spare ti, during this period, he had thought a lot about things he never considered before.

“Xiaobao, go to Grandpa.” Xu Chaomu let go of Xiaobao’s hand.

Xiaobao looked at Bai Xuan, feeling sowhat unfamiliar, and hesitated to go over.

In his eyes, this Grandpa was like Grandfather, both sowhat unapproachable.

Lately, he t many people, but he still liked his auntie and uncle the most.

“Xiaobao, go ahead and call him ‘Grandpa’.” Xu Chaomu encouraged him.

Only then did Xiaobao slowly walk towards Bai Xuan and timidly called out “Grandpa”…

Bai Xuan’s heart surged trendously, an emotion he had never felt before; his blood flowed faster, his heart beating wildly.

He was very grateful for Xu Chaomu’s lack of recrimination…

“Ah.” Bai Xuan gently responded, his voice choked and hoarse.

Xiaobao chewed on his little finger, blinking and looking up at Bai Xuan.

He saw that Bai Xuan seed to be crying; he casually took a tissue from the coffee table and handed it to Bai Xuan, softly saying, “Grandpa, for you…”

Bai Xuan grasped the tissue tightly, his tears uncontrollably falling like raindrops on his cheeks.

Xu Chaomu also lowered her eyelids, feeling sowhat moved as well.

In her eyes, Bai Xuan was such a composed person, who commanded the business world; yet at this mont, he was brought to tears by Xiaobao…

Xiaobao blinked, feeling a bit at a loss, looked at Xu Chaomu, and timidly said, “Mommy…”

Xu Chaomu bent down and softly said to Xiaobao, “Grandpa’s feeling down, can you cheer him up?”

Xiaobao was obedient; he took another tissue and walked to Bai Xuan, extending his hand to wipe his tears, “Grandpa, don’t cry…”

Bai Xuan didn’t want to cry, but the urge was simply uncontrollable.

He didn’t know what was wrong with himself, feeling choked up inside.

“I have candy…” Xiaobao fumbled in the pocket of his little suspender shorts and pulled out a piece of chocolate candy.

It was his favorite chocolate candy, but he still placed it in Bai Xuan’s hand.

Xu Chaomu sighed inwardly, her emotions affected as well…

Previously, she was an orphan, unable to find anyone related by blood in the world, but now, she had a father and also a son…

Their blood carried the sa lineage as hers; she couldn’t help but be moved.

Looking at Xiaobao’s innocent little face, Bai Xuan extended his hands and held him in his arms.

Xiaobao did not struggle, nor was he afraid; he just used the tissue to continue wiping Bai Xuan’s tears.

Bai Xuan hugged Xiaobao tightly for a long, long ti, unwilling to let go…

The sunlight slanted through the glass window, casting streaks of light on the wooden floor, while the wind blew in, bringing with it the fragrance of flowers and herbs.

It was only when the sun was setting, nearing evening, that Xu Chaomu took Xiaobao and left.

She had a al with Bai Xuan, and during that ti, Xiaobao was well-behaved, not fussing about going ho.

Shen Chi called her, asking if she wanted him to co over, but Xu Chaomu shook her head and did not ask him to join.

This was a matter between her and Bai Xuan, and she believed she had the ability to resolve it.

Bai Xuan cherished Xiaobao dearly, continuously asking what Xiaobao wanted to eat. He even took Xiaobao to the study and gave him his most precious jade pendant.

When leaving, Xu Chaomu said to Bai Xuan, “You don’t need to feel guilty towards , what’s in the past is in the past…”

Bai Xuan stood in the wind, the setting sun’s rays illuminating his weathered face, and he said nothing.

Xu Chaomu, seeing a few traces of a smile finally appear on his increasingly haggard face, also smiled gently and bid him goodbye.

The eting today was quite pleasant, different from the previous ones, perhaps because of Xiaobao, she wasn’t sure.

Xiaobao also gave her face, being very patient throughout and not crying or making trouble.

“Mommy, I want a Transforr.” Xiaobao cooed at Xu Chaomu in the car.

“Mommy didn’t bring money.” Xu Chaomu said.

“Want…” Xiaobao pouted.

“Alright, alright, I’ll take you to the mall.”

Xu Chaomu really hadn’t brought any money today, so she had to ask Xiaogao to drive to the mall under Shen’s corporation.

However, as they walked down, Xiaobao clung to the door of a store, refusing to leave.

He pointed at the toys in the display window, saying, “Want this, want this…”

“How about we buy it in the mall, okay?” Xu Chaomu coaxed.

“No, not good…” Xiaobao acted spoiled again, different from the sensible and obedient Xiaobao at the Bai Family.

Xu Chaomu was really sweating, this little guy appeared very well-behaved and adorable to outsiders, but beca utterly unreasonable and loved to act spoiled in front of her and Shen Chi.

A sales Miss ca out smiling, “Madam, since your baby likes this so much, why not buy it for him? It’s not expensive, and we have a discount today, 20% off.”

Xiaobao eagerly looked at the showcase, his little hand pointing at the Transforr.

Xu Chaomu, feeling helpless, had no choice but to call Shen Chi.

“Xiaobao, ask your daddy!” Xu Chaomu put the phone to Xiaobao’s ear.

Shen Chi hadn’t left work yet and was processing docunts at his desk.

“Daddy, mommy won’t buy a toy.”

“Hmm?” Shen Chi’s lips curved up, “Why won’t she buy it for you?”

“Mommy is stingy.”

Xu Chaomu was so angry she gritted her teeth; this little guy was really good at talking nonsense.

“Is it because you haven’t been behaving?”

“No, baby has been very obedient.” Xiaobao said.

Xu Chaomu, infuriated, took the phone from Xiaobao’s hand and said to Shen Chi, “I didn’t bring money…”

“Where are you?”

Xu Chaomu gave him the address, thinking Shen Chi would send her money.

“If you didn’t bring money, don’t buy it. Don’t spoil a boy.” Shen Chi said.

“Ah?” Xu Chaomu was taken aback; Shen Chi was even more heartless than her. She glanced at the eager Xiaobao, “Okay, then we won’t buy it.”
