Rayen watched the eliminated participants as they walked out of the studio venue. Only when Yeon Miwol explained the score calculation did he turn back his gaze to the screen.

"We selected a total of one thousand unaffiliated Entities participated in voting for this round. The winner would receive a 100x multiplier to their round’s score and will be added to the current points of each mber in the team. The second placer will get a f

50x multiplier."

Hearing that, Rayen and the other participants cheered. Finally, there was so good news that reached their ears.

If there were a thousand voters, theoretically, the winner might receive a full 100,000 points in one go. Though it was impossible to get a full score, it was still a good deal. Even getting second place could be worth a lot.

’If we can snatch at least second place...’

However, the happy news was only for the winners.

"The last place would get... none," Yeon Miwol continued, "—but their score for today’s round."

The cheering cald down.

"Are you ready for the result of this round?" Yeon Miwol asked with a smile on her face. "Let’s reveal the scores one by one!"

The screen behind her showed the three team nas besides each other.

"This team did great reinterpreting their song, showing us a completely surprising concept for today’s round." Yeon Miwol said. "Team Grit, let’s see your score!"

A drum roll reverberated throughout the entire studio.

[Grit: 689/1000]

"What do you think? Is that considered high?" Adrian asked.

The others on their team listened in. Rayen shrugged in response.

How would he know?

But a mont later, he sneered. "To be honest, aside from reinterpreting their song to beco romantic, I don’t rember much about their performance."

In short, it lacked any impact for him.

Ren might have three parts for himself, but Rayen felt he was still lacking. Although it might just be his bias because of his hatred toward Ren.

’How did that guy even place 4th in the rankings?’

Rayen clicked his tongue in annoyance. He gazed at Ren, but the guy didn’t even spare him a glance, sitting calmly on his seat like an angel in disguise.

"This team’s thinking is quite ingenious. How did they think of a concept for this kind of song?" Yeon Miwol continued with the announcent, praising the first team.

Rayen clicked his tongue in annoyance.

’We also have a completely ingenious concept!’

"Now that I think about it, didn’t Seven Flowers also do the sa? For a completely sentintal song, who would have expected for them to perform on such a charismatic stage?"

When Yeon Miwol echoed Rayen’s inward sentint, a smirk appeared on his lips.

Usually, another mber would have looked smug in his seat after hearing that — Yeo Haru in particular — but he was in no mood for it. The corner of his lips appeared downturned as he stared at the scoreboard.

Finally, their team’s score was displayed for them to see.

Xi Huan imdiately exploded a confetti in the air. "Yey!"

[Seven Flowers: 896/1000]

The corner of Rayen’s lips imdiately lifted. He didn’t even mind if Xi Huan’s confetti weighed his head down.

Even though the result was not yet complete, he already felt satisfied being able to up Ren. Even if they didn’t win at first place, just knowing that there was a possibility for Ren to end up in third place put Rayen in a bliss.

What’s more, their score seed to be mocking Grit’s score. 689 vs. 896.

It was Rayen’s win. His win!

He wanted to send so remarks toward that guy, but because of the caras, he was strapped down in his seat. In the end, Rayen could only watch him from the corner of his eyes.

Ren sighed in disappointnt then leaned back on his seat.

Only Rayen and Xi Huan were currently celebrating, though. Xu Jiji’s face remained unchanged, but his eyes kept glancing toward Mr. Big News’s direction.

Xu Jiji was glad that there was no more chance for them to end up in third place, however, his good brother was in that team.

Mr. Big News noticed his gaze, feeling a bit complicated inwardly. Slightly, he regretted his decision back then not joining Xu Jiji’s team.

It was a headache being on this team.

Mr. Big News’s eyes peeked at the angelic person beside him. It was because of this guy that their team turned into a ss.

As if sensing Mr. Big News’s gaze, Ren glanced back at him and smiled.

"Are you worried?" he asked.

Surprised at the sudden interaction, Mr. Big News replied in a daze, "H-Huh?"

Ren didn’t mind his reaction. He just looked back at the direction where he felt another piercing glare was coming from.

"Don’t worry. The eggs haven’t hatched yet," Ren said.

’What does eggs have to do with this?’

Mr. Big News wondered. Ren stopped looking at Rayen and continued to watch Yeon Miwol describe the last team’s performance.

"Don’t you know the saying? ’Don’t count your chickens before they hatch.’" Ren said, making Mr. Big News puzzled even more. Finally, he directly explained what he ant. "We haven’t lost yet."

Rayen’s frown deepened as he read the words from the shape of Ren’s mouth from far away.

’Still not giving up?’

Ren wasn’t completely off the mark, though. They might still have a chance to beco the second placer.

Team IFY’s performance was really refreshing. However, it was a two-edged sword. The viewers might enjoy the break from the heavy concepts, or they might feel it was inadequate.

In short, the results of their performance were a bit difficult to predict.

At last, Team IFY’s score appeared on the screen.

[IFY: 877/1000]

Rayen imdiately smirked upon seeing the numbers on the screen.

It was a close call. But Team Seven Flowers still won.

’Don’t count the chickens, huh? Well, our chickens are 896!’

With them getting the first place, Rayen could now sigh in relief. Multiplying their score to 100 tis would net him 89,600 points. Adding that to his current points, it would beco 714,369.

The danger line was at the 700,000 points mark now, which he had long passed. His road to the finals was basically confird.

’I won’t have to experience another elimination mont.’

With a smile, Rayen rejoiced inwardly, as did the others. Another set of confettis exploded in the air coming from Xi Huan’s sleeves.

’Just how many party poppers are inside those sleeves?’

"Congratulations, Team Seven Flowers!" Yeon Miwol remarked from the stage. "But this isn’t the end yet. Aren’t you forgetting about sothing else?"

"The MVP for each team was not yet announced," Adrian reminded.

"That’s right! We will now announce the MVPs of each team! But first, I will explain the benefits for the MVPs of this round."

Rayen recalled that getting the MVP would earn him so more points.

’A few more points isn’t bad...’

He glanced at his teammates.

’But can I win with this set of teammates?’
