Fatty Xu and Agravain walked forward side by side.
Perhaps neither of them had expected to so coincidentally run into the weakling of the other's team, so they both regarded each other as formidable opponents.
Unless absolutely necessary, they were unwilling to engage in direct conflict, so the two chose to walk together and search for their companions.
However, they still maintained a certain distance between them, a precaution born of caution.
The Holy Spirit Hall was enormous. As the most sacred site in Nasha, its existence stretched across an imasurably long span of ti.
Throughout history, it had been destroyed and rebuilt many tis, and now it stood as a presence comparable to the Forbidden City of the Huaxu Kingdom.
Thus, insignificant humans entering here felt as if they had stepped into a massive sky-city.
As they walked, they chatted casually.
Agravain looked harmless, with a pretty face that could easily stir a man's heart.
She walked with her hands clasped behind her back, lively and sprightly, her pair of sea-blue eyes shimring with a captivating radiance.
"Mr. Tianpeng, the discovery of this mysterious underground kingdom is truly a monuntal find in human civilization history!"
"I wonder if you have any knowledge of ancient civilization history?"
Upon hearing Agravain's question, Fatty Xu quickly feigned a nonchalant deanor and nodded.
"I do have a bit of research on those matters."
A flash of brilliance crossed Agravain's eyes.
"Oh? Is that so? I didn't expect Mr. Tianpeng to be a genius versed in both literature and martial arts."
"Heh, I wouldn't dare claim to be a genius. At best, I'm barely considered a talent."
The beautiful woman's flattery made Fatty Xu's heart swell with pride.
Agravain let out a soft sigh. "The President of Columbus Ocean once said that humans only stand on a unified front when facing threats from other civilized races. At this mont, I deeply feel the truth of that."
"Don't you agree, Mr. Tianpeng?"
Fatty Xu swallowed a mouthful of saliva. "Mm, what you say does hold so truth."
"Originally, we were in a competitive relationship, each side thinking about how to plunder more resources from beneath the Demon Abyss."
"But here, we've discovered a race that could be called humanity's natural enemy. This pressure forces us to unite."
Agravain smiled warmly at Fatty Xu.
"Regardless of the past, our greatest task now is to defeat Nasha! To ensure that humanity is not threatened by this powerful and terrifying underground race. Don't you think so?"
As she spoke, she extended her fair, tender little hand toward Fatty Xu.
Fatty Xu looked at her soft, pale palm and instinctively wanted to reach out and shake it.
Under Agravain's gentle expression, he slowly extended his own thick, fleshy hand.
But just as their hands were about to touch, Fatty Xu rembered Zhang Yi's earlier warning and abruptly withdrew his hand.
Even though he was wearing a combat suit with gloves on his hands, that didn't an physical contact was safe.
Because so abilities could be activated through "touch" itself, even through clothes.
Fatty Xu scratched his head. "Haha, you make a lot of sense! Right, right!"
Seeing that Fatty Xu hadn't shaken her hand, a flicker of brilliance passed through Agravain's eyes.
*This guy really isn't simple! Looks like I'll have to be more careful too.*
"Heh, I understand. Mr. Tianpeng is certainly cautious enough!"
The two continued forward. When they passed through a doorway, Fatty Xu was able to push it open using the power of his armor.
This further solidified Agravain's inner conviction.
"Say, Mr. Tianpeng. Did only your Jiangnan Region people co this ti?"
Agravain looked down at her toes and asked casually.
"This ti, we're dealing with a powerful prehistoric civilization. I always feel it's going to be very dangerous."
"If it were , I would definitely report it to the highest levels of the nation and request reinforcents."
Although Fatty Xu was timid and lazy, he wasn't a fool.
Hearing this, he imdiately realized that Agravain was trying to extract information.
A cryptic expression appeared on his face. "You make a very good point."
This kind of ambiguous response only deepened Agravain's suspicions.
What they feared most now was the arrival of reinforcents from the Huaxu Kingdom's mainland.
After all, their Knights of the Round Table couldn't cross an entire continent to reach here in ti for support.
And once forces from other Huaxu regions joined in, they wouldn't be able to reap many benefits.
Agravain kept a cheerful deanor, increasing the topics of conversation with Fatty Xu along the way, casually slipping in sensitive questions between seemingly innocent remarks.
Fatty Xu had been warned plenty by Zhang Yi. Though he wasn't skilled in rhetoric, when faced with uncertain questions, he simply played dumb.
Throughout their walk, he didn't leak any crucial information.
This situation further convinced Agravain internally—this was a formidable figure in Zhang Yi's team, incredibly dangerous!
The Holy Spirit Hall was empty and vast.
Though enormous, there were hardly any people inside.
Aside from the Guardian they had encountered at the main entrance, they hadn't seen a single Tri-Eyed Clan mber so far.
It felt like a city of deathly silence.
As the two walked, they gradually ca upon a location rich with historical and cultural artifacts.
Because they discovered many ancient relics in the room, along with books placed on the tables.
"This... looks like a study room."
Agravain looked up at the massive desk and the displays in the room, making that judgnt.
Fatty Xu also sighed. "It feels like what our side was like a few centuries ago!"
Because so abilities could be activated through "touch" itself, even through clothes.
"There's a door ahead!"
Agravain looked past a table leg toward the front and suddenly spoke.
Fatty Xu followed her gaze and indeed spotted a dark red wooden door.
The door looked ancient, even giving off an aged feel. From a distance, they could sll the fragrance of the wood.
"What could be inside?"
"Let's go check it out. We don't have a clear direction anyway."
After a brief discussion, the two decided to take a look.
Fatty Xu mustered his courage, walked over, and pushed open a crack in the door with force.
White light stread out from inside.
The two carefully slipped through the crack and looked up. The sight before them left them utterly speechless.
Because they saw a mountain of books.
This was a sea of books. When they looked up, they couldn't even see where the mountain of books ended.
This was the Royal Library of Nasha. Bookshelves lined the walls all around the room, filled with volus.
In the center of the library, books were piled up densely, as if soone had been consulting so ancient texts, pulling out large quantities and casually leaving them on the floor.
