151 Excuses n Excuses
Yang Ning was sitting near the lakeside and enjoying her morning tea while looking at the lake and enjoying sunbathing.
Since the weather has gotten colder these days as winter approaches, she likes to sit near the lakeside in the morning to have her tea and take so vitamin D from the sun as well.
It’s been over two months since she married Zheng Liang and was staying at the royal palace. It wasn’t easy to get adjusted to the restricted lifestyle at the palace but she is managing it well for now.
At least, according to her standards, she was doing good and living her life without creating any major issues for her.
Rather than getting depressed by this changed lifestyle, she was taking it as a new challenge and enjoying this new adventurous life.
After the wedding rituals and countless ceremonies ca to an end, Yang Ning was officially crowned as the Crown Princess of the Empire.
Rather than a big ceremony, it was a small event where she was crowned as the Crowned Princess in the presence of His and Her Majesty and the council of ministers.
Even though it was a small ceremony, the scale of the ceremony was not small at all. The feast that followed the ceremony was as sumptuous as the royal wedding feast.
“Milady, Lord Yang has requested an audience with you.” Xiaowei ca and inford Yang Ning that Yang Luoyang had co to et her.

Yang Ning let out a tired sigh and put down her teacup before saying, ” Tell him that I am not well and still sleeping.”
Xiaowei looked at her worriedly and said, “Milady, we gave him this excuse last week as well. I don’t think this excuse will work this ti.”
Yang Ning furrowed her brows and tried to think of another excuse.
After returning from the Yang Household, Yang Luoyang tried to et Yang Ning many tis but every ti she rejected his request to et her, making so random excuses.
His requests ca so many tis that at tis, Lady Yu Ling and Court Lady Zhu helped her co up with excuses and even gave her so tasks to keep her busy whenever Yang Luoyang requested to et with her.
She was well aware of what he wanted to talk to her about. He wanted her to beco his spy in the palace and give him reports about Zheng Liang’s day-to-day activities and with whom he ets and what he does.
However, unlike the naive Yang Ning, who got into his trap and diligently gave him the reports about Zheng Liang’s activities like a fool to gain her father’s favor, she isn’t going to make that mistake.
Because she doesn’t need that bastard’s favor or wants to have anything to do with him. She is happy in her realm. Staying loyal to Zheng Liang would be more beneficial to her than joining hands with Yang Luoyang.
That’s why she was avoiding eting him and having any contact with him.
Because if she t him and he said sothing ridiculous to her this ti, she would not stand there like a mannequin and would teach him what it ans to ask for a fight with Fang Li.
If she cannot control her tongue from speaking whatever cos into her mind, it would be best for her to avoid eting him.
That’s the best decision she could co to at this point.
“Then…Tell him that I am taking a bath. Sunbathing is also a kind of bath. What do you think about it?” Yang Ning looked at Xiaowei with her sparkling eyes and waited for her suggestion.
This excuse sounds pretty good. There is no way he could question this excuse of hers.
Xu Nuan pursed her lips and said hesitantly, ” Milady, soon it will be lunchti. How can the Crown Princess take a bath this late? I am sure he will catch on to this lie soon.”
“Why don’t you et him for once? I am sure he will not be able to do anything to you in the palace premises.” Xiaowei said.
Yang Luoyang is her Father after all. How long can she avoid him and not et him?
Yang Ning pursed her lips and does not want to ruin her mood by eting that black-hearted jerk. While she was wondering what excuse to make this ti to avoid eting him, Zheng Liang interrupted her thoughts. “Tell him that the Princess is having tea with . It would be better for him to return to the royal court for now.”
“Your Highness!” Xiaowei lowered her head when Zheng Liang appeared out of nowhere and greeted him.
“Your Highness, How co you are here?” Yang Ning asked as she was surprised when Zheng Liang appeared like an angel and saved her from brainstorming for a new excuse to avoid Yang Luoyang.
Zheng Liang walked towards where Yang Ning was sitting and took the chair opposite her. He smiled at her and said, ” I had so ti until the afternoon royal court session. I knew that you would be here at this ti and having your tea. So I ca to accompany you for a while.”
“Would you mind if I join you here for a cup of tea?” He asked.
Yang Ning shook her head fervently and said, ” Not at all. I am so glad that you ca to join . Let pour you a cup.” She said and poured him a cup of tea.
Having tea with him is way better than having tea with Yang Luoyang and getting indigestion by looking at his monstrous face.
Zheng Liang chuckled to see her smiling and turned to Xiaowei who was surprised to see them getting along so well. “Go and tell Minister Yang that the Princess is busy with and cannot et him today.”
” Also, tell him to prepare the reports that I asked him to bring in the last eting. If he failed to bring the reports by the afternoon session, tell him to sit out of the eting then.” Zheng Liang said coldly.
“Y…Yes, Your Highness.” Xiaowei got nervous in front of Zheng Liang’s charismatic pose and hurriedly left to deliver the ssage to Yang Luoyang.
Yang Ning raised her brows to see Zheng Liang severely dealing with Yang Luoyang. Telling him to sit him out of the eting is no less than humiliating him in front of everyone.
Looks like the situation is not good at the royal court as well. However, what made him so angry that he asked Yang Luoyang to sit out of the eting?
