117 Royal Wedding (I)
Dragon Pavilion – The Royal Palace.
It was ti after dinner and the servants were already preparing to go to bed, anwhile, Zheng Liang and Gu Lan were still awake in the study room and were discussing sothing related to work.
The punishnt given to Zheng Liang by His Majesty ended long ago and he started working and handling the duties of the Crown Prince like usual. You need to wake up early in the morning to get ready to perform the rituals of the royal wedding.”
“On a night like today, you should go to bed early and have a proper rest.” She said and suggested him go to bed early rather than working until midnight and keep Gu Lan busy with work as well.
“Royal Guard Gu Lan, How can you keep His Highness engaged with work until now? He is going to beco a married man from tomorrow onwards, you should be careful about such things in the future.” The maid nagged Gu Lan and scolded him for keeping Zheng Liang with him until now.

” You should now stop all the work and go to bed. You need to wake up early in the morning to get ready to perform the rituals tomorrow. It’s your wedding after all.”
” You can leave all the work to and take a rest. I will make sure to check everything carefully and will not disappoint you. You can trust for that.” He said and assured him to not worry about the security for tomorrow’s event.
Zheng Liang looked at him with his squinted eyes and nodded before saying, ” Alright. Order the guards to patrol around the palace at night and keep everything in check.”
” Wake up if sothing unusual happens.” He said.
Gu Lan nodded and assured him to make him free from worries, ” Nothing wrong will happen. I will take care of everything.”
“Your Highness should go to bed now. Tomorrow is a big day for you.” He said with a aningful smile.
He still cannot believe that Zheng Liang is getting married tomorrow. Moreover, his bride is none other than the troublemaker Yang Ning.
At first, he had negative feelings against her and wasn’t in favor of this marriage. However, after observing her for so ti, he realized that she isn’t the sa person the rumors describe her to be.
Rather than a cold and vicious woman, she is a cheerful girl with no restraint on her mouth. However, it’s better than soone who is manipulative and scheming.
Moreover, seeing the way Zheng Liang has been acting after eting her, he could see that he has changed. It was the side of Zheng Liang he had never seen before.
Looks like not canceling this marriage alliance with Yang Ning was a favorable decision for him.
