In a valley strewn with yellow sand.
Xue Jing placed an already deployed monitor on the ground, letting its eight chanical limbs dig into the yellow earth.
He took out a tablet from the backpack held by the Shadowfla Crow and glanced at the map displayed on the screen.
At this mont, there were already three spaced-out white dots on the map, indicating that he had placed three monitors in the Intersecting Boundaries.
"Why do I feel that this Intersecting Boundaries is much larger than originally predicted?"
Xue Jing moved in a series of leaps and bounds, jumped onto a cliff, and stood on a large rock more than three ters high, peering into the distance.
Even with his ability to see tens of kiloters away, he still couldn't see the edge of this world.
According to the information given by White Crow, the total area of 'Roaring Waterfall' should be between five hundred and over one thousand three hundred square kiloters.
If the Intersecting Boundaries is roughly circular, then a diater of one thousand three hundred square kiloters would only asure a few tens of kiloters across.
With his vision, as long as there was no obstruction in sight, even if he was standing at the very edge of the Intersecting Boundaries looking towards the farthest other side, he should still have been able to clearly see the boundary.
"Sothing's not right, and even when calculating by the dragon breed distribution map, sothing's not right."
Xue Jing took out the map he had gotten from the leader of the 'Dragon Hunting Group,' spreading it out to have a look.
"From that Long-tailed Dragon territory forest to the nearest Dragon Breed territory, I've walked at least seven kiloters."
He stretched out his hand, asuring the distance between the Long-tailed Dragon territory and his current location in the valley... roughly the length of half a finger.
On the entire map, the two farthest-apart red dots were separated by about the length of an adult's arm.
"If half a finger's length is seven kiloters, the farthest-apart Dragon Breed territories would be separated by at least a hundred kiloters."
"This is just the map of the Dragon Breed territories, not the 'world map' of this Intersecting Boundaries."
"This area, obviously, is far beyond the area ntioned in White Crow's data."
Xue Jing's eyes reflected contemplation.
"...Either White Crow's surveyors were unprofessional and the data error is outrageous, or sothing has happened that I don't know about."
He thought back to the anomalies he encountered when he first entered the Intersecting Boundaries.
"The GPS at the exit as well as the two 'monitors' that were originally in place are not showing up on the tablet."
"It seems indeed sothing has happened that I don't know about..."
Xue Jing sat cross-legged on the rock, a Dark Fla ignited in his hand, tossing it up and down.
His gaze turned towards the horizon.
A figure resembling a long snake was flying towards the direction of the valley.
"There's no need to ponder other matters for now, the bridge will straighten itself when the ship arrives at it."
"The first priority now is to wipe out all the Dragon Breeds in this Intersecting Boundaries and blast my Divinity through the roof."
The serpent-like figure flew from the horizon to near the valley and revealed its full appearance.
It was a Dragon, clawless, wingless, with a single horn on its head, its entire body covered in smooth dark red scales and a serpentine form.
Dragon-type Creatures have very recognizable characteristics.
Firstly, their bodies must be covered with scales.
Their heads must have Dragon Horns.
Their eyes must be slit pupils.
Lastly, and most recognizably—Dragons must fly.
Their flight is attributed to the natural Anti-Gravity Biological Field they possess. Even if they have wings, these are just for flight assistance and are not used for take-off.
"That one is the Dragon Breed marked on the map."
Xue Jing's eyes narrowed slightly.
At this mont, the Red Scale Dragon Breed flying nearby noticed on the rock of the cliff, a 'little bug' sitting there, daring to invade its territory.
"Roar—!!"
It imdiately flew close to Xue Jing, letting out a dragon's roar that shook the whole valley, a visible wave of breath starting from its mouth, blasting forward, and the strong wind blew Xue Jing's hair into a pompadour.
Xue Jing smoothed his hair, slightly frowning, "You're a bit forceful with your breath."
Countless black currents were drawn from the shadows, surging towards his shoulders, igniting into a large-scale Dark Fla.
Soon after, a seven to eight ters long right hand wearing elegant Gauntlets burst forth from the Dark Fla, gripping the Red Scale Dragon Breed flying in the air.
"Gah—!!" The whole serpentine body of the Red Scale Dragon Breed was seized by the giant hand, and was suddenly unable to make a sound.
It struggled and writhed desperately, opening its mouth towards Xue Jing.
"Hiss—"
A dark green liquid shot out from its throat with great speed, like a high-pressure water gun, forming a straight line.
Xue Jing dodged in a flash.
The dark green liquid pierced through the rock which he had been sitting on, leaving a big hole, and the splashed green fluid on the surroundings started fizzing with white smoke upon contact with the ground, seemingly possessing a strong corrosiveness.
Seeing this scene, Xue Jing raised an eyebrow, "Spitting randomly... The local Dragons really have low standards."
He reached out with his right hand towards the Red Scale Dragon Breed and squeezed.
Simultaneously, the Shadowfla Giant's hand that was grabbing the Red Scale Dragon Breed squeezed as well.
"Crack—"
With a crisp snap, the body of the Red Scale Dragon Breed was crushed flat, and its innards were squeezed out from both ends.
A mist of blood erupted from its tail, while its head opened its mouth, and chunks of blood and flesh spewed out incessantly.
[Slain a special creature with Divinity, Divinity 29]
"Done... Ti to find the next one."
Xue Jing spread out the map in his hand and pointed at the red dot closest to his current location.
"I'll go around like this, first clearing out all the peripheral ones, then gradually moving inward, solving them in one circle after another..."
