Qin blinked, her consciousness gradually becoming clear, and finally realized that sothing was off with her field of vision.
There was also a faint tugging pain coming from her left eye.
"What... what have you done to !?" she exclaid in both anger and fear, instinctively trying to use the power of the Heretic God...
But the 'Stigmata' did not respond to her at all.
"Looking for this?"
The handso young man across her casually placed a bowl on the table and pulled a colorful, round gem from his pocket.

"Give it back!" Qin demanded angrily.
Xue Jing raised an eyebrow, "Lady, you seem to have not quite grasped your current situation."
He tossed the eyeball onto the table, and it bounced high into the air, smacking the ceiling before falling back down, where Xue Jing caught it.
"Oh? Quite bouncy."
Xue Jing held the eyeball in his hand, spinning it with his index finger like a basketball, his voice laced with mirth as he said:
"Hey, if you were to casually toss this outside, it would probably bounce away and vanish, impossible to find. You can't be careless with this."
Qin's mouth twitched:
"You... don't ss around, let's talk this over properly."
Xue Jing humd a sound of acknowledgnt, "Then let's have a proper talk."
While tossing the colorful eyeball, he said:
"From now on, nothing you say will be admissible in court, nor do you have the right to remain silent, and whether you are lying or not, if I think you're lying, I will boil this little thing, got it?"
Qin sighed as if giving up, "I give up, just ask whatever you need to."
Xue Jing's voice was devoid of any inflection, "You're cooperative... Is this eyeball that important to you?"
"Not that important..." Qin started defiantly, but seeing Xue Jing's narrowed eyes, she quickly corrected herself, "It is... quite important. This is a 'Stigmata' of the Blessed One; if it were lost, even the gentle rciful Mother would be upset..."
Xue Jing uttered an indifferent oh, stood up, walked over to a small table, and pressed the start button on the electric kettle placed there.
The kettle began making the noise of boiling water, and Qin blinked and added:

"Second question, who assigned you to find , and why?"
Qin did not hesitate, "It was the professor, Professor Lü sent ."
"Professor Lü of the Horticulture Institute at Maple City University, your sister Xue Wan's ntor."
"She is a priest of the Flower God Society's Maple City branch, the person in charge, everything was arranged by her, I'm just a tool executing tasks!"
Qin swiftly sold out the person behind the scenes.

Xue Jing recalled, the timing pretty much matched when his mother, Nan Jiayu, felt sothing was off about Xue Wan.

Xue Jing remained silent, his gaze prompting her to continue.
