A week after the wedding ceremony, the three of them had gathered again on the plain where Mart and Moraf usually trained.
leic had recovered his arm, and the regenerative pill not only helped him regenerate his arm, but also gave him a boost. He had reached the sixth rank (starting point).
"I see that pill was useful," said Mart as he created the demonic barrier that would isolate them from the outside world.
The demon with blond hair, tanned skin, red eyes, and a black gem on his forehead wielded his scimitar and infused it with a demonic aura.
"Sixth rank, ’maximum point’. I want to see the difference in power," said leic with anticipation, without lowering his guard.
"That scimitar is a powerful relic; I think he’ll be able to resist," thought Mart as he partially extended his arms, creating hundreds of blades of concentrated demonic energy.
Bang! Bang! Bang!...
The hundreds of blades were fired using concatenated demonic spells.
leic swung his scimitar and a powerful aura cut stopped so of the blades, but the blades that managed to pierce the weakened aura cut stabbed leic’s body, although he skillfully avoided fatal wounds.
leic not only avoided fatal wounds, he jumped towards Mart and swung his scimitar, launching a concatenated demonic aura slash.
The demonic barrier protecting Mart cracked, and with the second attack, it broke completely.
Mart quickly created a demonic barrier and resisted the attack, while jumping into the air using demonic wind spells.
Hundreds of explosive fireballs were created.
Mart was only buying ti; leic had gotten quite close.
"A mage must always keep his distance," Mart thought.
Bang!
Explosion!
The fireballs hit leic’s body, which was covered by a demonic aura. leic was about to jump. Despite so burns, he was not willing to give up, but he had to retreat when spears of earth ca after him.
Then it wasn’t just spears of earth, there were also stone bullets, so of which contained powerful explosive spells.
leic buried his scimitar in the ground, and dozens of demonic aura cuts spread in different directions, destroying the stone bullets, spears, and demonic energy blades.
The battlefield was turning into rubble, the ground looking as if it had been hit by explosions and earthquakes.
leic looked at Mart.
Mart remained in the air, devising a way to defeat leic, who wielded that powerful scimitar.
"When he reaches the seventh rank, that scimitar will be even more powerful," Mart thought, without letting his guard down.
The demonic aura surrounded leic, and at that mont, the gem on leic’s forehead transford into a shiny black horn, and the aura around leic looked like a cutting fire.
"A born warrior," Mart thought as he created three blades of concentrated demonic energy into which he had inserted the explosive demonic diagram.
The scimitar seed capable of cutting through a target miles away.
leic attacked, and so did Mart.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Explosion.
The demonic barrier cracked...
...
After that day, leic returned with his fiancée to his father’s duchy. He felt that he could advance to the "midpoint" of his current rank....
Moraf intensified his training after seeing the two powerful demons fighting. He felt that every battle between Mart and leic was an opportunity to learn.
...
A little over a month later.
Moraf was in Mart’s study.
"You managed to consolidate your demonic aura over the last two weeks. Did you co at my suggestion?" Mart asked, placing so docunts on his desk.
"That’s right, Marquis Mart, I want to be more powerful," Moraf said with determination.
"Now that you have received that relic, you can go to Marrac Mountain and kill the ’corrupted’ monsters and beasts. That will make you stronger," explained Mart.
"How is that possible?" asked Moraf.
"It is the power of the relic. The rest is a secret. Do you understand?" Mart said in a firr tone.
"I understand. Marquis, I wish to go to Marrac Mountain," Moraf said without hesitation.
"I will organize a suitable team to accompany you. Also, you must return when you have reached the sixth rank," Mart said, staring intently at Moraf.
Moraf nodded.
"Then go and prepare yourself. You’ll be away for a while," Mart said as he returned to reading the docunts on his desk.
Moraf bowed respectfully and withdrew.
So of the docunts Mart was reading were about human movents at the borders. He was not willing to let his guard down; he knew that his actions had delayed the fall of the "Republic of Argaris."
"But for how long?" was the question Mart Sevec asked himself as he rembered Lenard Trisgisto.
For Mart, human actions could begin at any mont.
"I must not neglect my own preparation," Mart placed the docunts on the desk and leaned back in his chair.
...
So ti later.
It was nightti.
The wind blew outside as if making a mysterious announcent.
Mart was sitting on a padded bench with his back against the ivory-colored walls.
He was wearing a white shirt and black pants, his fingers were intertwined, and he was tapping his left foot on the floor.
"You must remain calm." That tapping on the floor could make anyone nervous," said Persec rliano, who kept pacing back and forth in the hallway.
Mart looked at Persec, then saw Teraz Sevec, who seed expectant and sowhat excited.
It was shortly after midnight when a demon woman with purple skin, sowhat robust, with black horns on either side of her forehead, ca out of that room.
"Marquis, your son has been born. He is a spectacularly beautiful and talented baby. Congratulations," said the midwife with a smile but with fatigue on her face.
Mart stood up and handed the midwife a small bag containing 1,000 gold coins.
"This is just a gift of gratitude. Please don’t refuse it," said Mart.
"Thank you, Marquis."
Mart entered the room, which was now dimly lit.
Isirid smiled warmly when she saw Mart. She was holding a demon baby wrapped in white sheets in her arms.
Mart approached.
"Mart. It’s our son," she said warmly.
He nodded and took the baby in his arms. A beautiful baby with a dark red horn on each side of his forehead, pale white skin like his mother’s, reddish hair, and blue eyes.
The baby babbled softly. It was a beautiful baby.
"Fourth rank, ’middle point’. This is amazing," Mart murmured, pleasantly surprised.
"He’s a true demon from birth," Mart thought.
Mart felt complete, fulfilled, and at that mont he said:
"My firstborn, my successor."
