Chapter 239: The True God's Pocket World

Chu Feng and Bailong stepped into the teleportation array.

Their vision went dark—and in the next mont, they appeared in a pitch-black pocket world.

The air was filled with death, stillness, and the stifling chill of darkness.

“You’re up, Blastoise.”

As Chu Feng spoke, his storage ring lit up, and Blastoise shot out, instantly illuminating the darkness like daylight. The temperature rose noticeably.

Bailong, standing nearby, showed a slight change in expression but ultimately remained silent.

Blastoise glanced around and asked, “Master, this place doesn’t feel like the Sky Profound Continent.”

“You’re right,” Chu Feng replied. “This isn’t the Sky Profound Continent. It’s a special pocket world.”

While he spoke, Chu Feng’s divine sense had already swept out over dozens of miles.

He attempted to extend it further but quickly discovered that so sort of law power within this realm was restricting him.

As expected of a True God—though long dead, the divine power they left behind could still suppress a Half-Saint like him.

Looks like I’m still not strong enough. I’ll have to push my disciples harder.

After several hundred steps, the group finally arrived at a towering divine temple.

Ti had ravaged the structure. It looked unstable, as if it might collapse at any mont.

The writing carved into its surface was too weathered to read—whatever na this temple once bore had been lost.

Chu Feng stopped just outside and turned to Bailong. “Are there any rules about entering this place?”

Bailong shook his head. “None, Your Highness. The temple has thirteen inner halls. Each contains different treasures, and the deeper you go, the harder it is to enter. I only made it as far as the fourth hall.”

Blastoise raised an eyebrow. “If you never got past the fourth, how do you know there are thirteen?”

Bailong explained, “I once found a map in the first hall—it revealed the entire layout of the temple. That’s how I know. Unfortunately, the map was destroyed along with my physical body, or I’d show it to you.”

“No matter,” Chu Feng said. “If the True God who built this place has already fallen, this temple won’t stop .”

He stepped into the first hall.

Inside—it was completely empty.

Bailong looked a little guilty. Everything in this hall had already been looted by him.

The group passed through easily, reaching the fourth hall without resistance.

Unlike the earlier ones, this hall was full of restrictive seals. Here and there, unopened treasure chests still remained.

Bailong said, “These four halls are saturated with deathly energy. The chests I opened all contained ghost-related items. That’s why I didn’t open the rest.”

Chu Feng listened calmly, then casually broke a nearby seal and opened one of the chests.

Inside was a jade slip shrouded in ghostly mist.

He scanned it with divine sense.

Nether Scripture—a Saint-rank technique.

He skimd it once, tossed it into his storage ring, then activated his World-Breaking Eye.

Every sealed object in this hall was cloaked in dense ghost energy. Just the sight of it dulled his curiosity.

But as he was about to look away, one particular seal caught his eye.

Amidst the ghost aura, it emitted a biting, bone-deep chill.

Hmm?

Chu Feng's interest was piqued. He broke the seal with a wave of his hand.

A bottle, completely encased in ice, fell to the ground.

He reached out and grabbed it. Imdiately, a layer of frost ford over his palm.

He swept the bottle with divine sense—and noticed sothing surprising.

There was a visible crack in the surface.

And this wasn’t just any container—it was a top-grade spiritual artifact.

If even that had cracked, the item inside must be extraordinary.

Chu Feng opened the lid.

In the next instant, a bluish-green fla drifted out of the bottle.

The entire fourth hall was instantly engulfed in frost.

Blastoise’s eyes widened. “Nether Ice Fla!”

Bailong exclaid, “A Heavenly Fla!”

Chu Feng smiled. “Interesting. I didn’t expect such an unexpected gain.”

The Nether Ice Fla, without hesitation, launched itself at Blastoise and engaged in a furious battle.

Crackle!

Wherever the two flas collided, the surroundings were left in complete ruin.

Bailong stood dumbfounded, inwardly relieved that he had never opened that particular seal. Had he faced the Nether Ice Fla alone, even if he won, it would’ve been a miserable victory.

Chu Feng, anwhile, sat down with a flask of wine and calmly watched Blastoise battling the Nether Ice Fla.

Monts later, Blastoise was the first to falter, the fire around its body beginning to dim.

With no ti to consider pride or dignity, it shouted, “Master, help !”

The corners of Chu Feng’s lips curved up slightly. He spoke a single word: “Seal.”

The mont the word left his mouth, a massive character for seal descended and landed on the Nether Ice Fla.

The once-arrogant fla was instantly forced to the ground. It bounced twice—then stopped moving altogether.

Blastoise lit up in delight and dove toward it.

But just before it could make contact, a golden light shot out from the seal and sent Blastoise flying backward.

Looking utterly frustrated, Blastoise turned to Chu Feng and asked, “Master, why won’t you let absorb it?”

Chu Feng smiled. “Rember this—from now on, if I don’t give it to you, you don’t take it.”

Hearing that, Blastoise imdiately shut its mouth and didn’t say another word.

Seeing its sulky expression, Chu Feng added, “Alright, quit acting like you’ve been wronged. Once your alchemy skills improve, I’ll naturally give it to you.”

“Thank you, Master!”

Blastoise instantly returned to its usual cheerful self.

Chu Feng placed the Nether Ice Fla back into the spiritual bottle and layered it with an additional seal. Instantly, the frost covering the bottle began to visibly lt away.

“Let’s go. Let’s see what’s ahead.”

“Yes, sir!”

Bailong resud the lead. After a short walk, he stopped in front of a large door and turned to Chu Feng.

“Your Highness, beyond this door is a land of death—filled with countless resentful souls. They cannot be killed, and every ti I reached this point, I had no choice but to turn back.”

“Just a bunch of undead,” Blastoise said confidently. “With here, I’ll burn every last one of them to ash.”

Bailong nodded and led Chu Feng through the door.

“This is what you call a death zone?”

Blastoise stared at the sea of ghosts ahead and nearly cursed aloud.

Bailong looked confused. “Isn’t it?”

“No. This place isn’t a death zone.”

Chu Feng narrowed his eyes, fingers stroking his chin in thought. After a long pause, he finally said,

“This should be the legendary Road to the Underworld.”
