ODETTE POV:
He was so weird, why was he getting so snippy about ditating. Does he not know that's away to store and acquire magic. What a pertinacious brat, thinking he's above simple training techniques. Hmph.
Hector the guard escorting to my new room, was awfully quiet. Maybe I should try and make friends with him? It could co in handy, having allies even if they are dogs.
"Have you been working here long? Is the food always good?"
"You're asking a dog if he likes his food?" Hector scoffed.
"Well, even the daughter of a monster can ask a dog how's its day going. Being the daughter of a monster doesn't exactly co with a job description." I shrugged.
I could see him making side glances, but no real animosity or lust in his eyes, no malice in his vibes, just curiosity and suspicion.
"I don't drink blood, and I'll tell you a secret most vampires don't know about how I feed. I have to touch you, so don't worry I won't eat you. If that's what you're wondering." I wanted to try and put him at ease. Let his guard down just a little.
"Really? Why should I believe you and why are you telling this?" He asked.
"Because it's better to have people with content with you than have animosity. I want you to know, I'm not a threat, as long as you don't give a reason to be. I don't just have skills in magic, I'm excellent in hand to hand." I answered quickly with honesty.
He just eyed up and down, questioning whether or not to believe .
"The food always been good, I know the chef and the baker." He answered as he walked.
"I can pretty good, and I rember almost every recipe I bake." I stated proudly.
"That's a neat trick. I wouldn't think a princess would do such mundane things." Hector answered.
"I'm pretty typical for a princess, I enjoy the mundane things in life." I shrugged my shoulders as we walk.
"I'd love to go to the kitchen and bake sothing, but I doubt anyone would allow anywhere near food or let feel any real joy." I sighed.
"You never know, maybe you'll find your way into the kitchen." He said with indifference.
"Maybe."
We walked the rest of the way in a comfortable silence. The hall wasn't a super long hall, so it wasn't long before we reach a door that opened up to a small humble room. A wooden wardrobe a table and chair a small counter with a sink and a small one burner stove and oven. It had an overhead cabinet with two sets of dining wear, a small fridge and pantry shelf. A simple wooden bed with black sheets.
It was nice enough, a lot better than that dingy dungeon.
The window even had a nice view of a garden. This place looks pretty big, and the mountains were beautiful here. I haven't seen the outside in days.
Where am I? Well, at least wherever I am, the view it astounding, and it's not like so boring desert in the middle of nowhere or a dreary forest.
I wasn't too far from the ground I could jump it. But I rember the pain the shock collar gave , and if whatever he said was true about this collar and escaping away from the palace, I didn't want to find out. My father would co for , and I'd get my revenge I just need to survive until then.
I won't let them break and I won't be broken.
I open the wardrobe to find simple clothing and, what I can only assu to be, my uniforms for the bastard king.
I hate him. He doesn't deserve a face like that. Such a rude, arrogant, condescending ass.
I take the black shirt and black pants and out them on and plop onto my bed. Being bored is its own form of torture, but at least I have a softer bed and warr clothes. All things considering, I could have it worse.
I suppose I should be grateful. I rolled my eyes at my own thoughts.
Laying here alone, I could still feel his eyes roaming my skin as he ripped my clothes off. How they trailed all down my naked and exposed body. Was that how I'd be showering from now on? He was the first man to ever see completely naked. I could rember my heart hamring against my ribs while he gazed lustfully at my body. I rember the heat that flushed my body, watching him taken in every single curve my body had to offer him. So grateful for the cold shower, helped cool down.
I wonder where else I'd be able to use the bathroom. No one has shown where the restrooms are. Are there even any nearby, would I even be allowed to go?
Ugh.
Soon my thoughts start to drift back to him. The bastard who tried to strip of my dignity.
What exactly did my father do? To make him hate so much?
Why was his face so beautiful? Why were his lips so plump, I wonder what they would feel like kissing on . He slled so good; it was intoxicating when he stood too close to . It was woodsy like pine.
What the hell am I thinking? Definitely suffering from Stockholm Syndro. I'm probably gonna need a therapist after this is over.
Sigh, boredom is tireso.
I don't know how long I slept for or when I fell asleep, but a profuse banging woke from my sleep. It was ridiculously dark in my room, luckily there was no furniture between and the door.
Opening it, I find Raven standing just outside my door.
"Can I help you?"
"Yes, you can crawl back in the dungeon where you belong." Raven sneered.
"Well, here I am because your king says otherwise. Should I tell him you think he made a mistake?"
SLAP!
The sound of Raven slapping reverberated down the hallway. My cheek stung sothing fierce. Throbbing from the impact.
"Don't you speak to like that, do you understand . I'm your better here. You are a slave." Raven snarled at . Looking like she'd bite if she had the chance.
"What do you want, Raven? It's the middle of the night; don't you have so beauty sleep you need to catch up with. Given my face, I'm all caught up."
Raven growled low and deep.
This ti punching ; drawing a little bit of blood. I could taste the pennies in my mouth.
"Don't take it too far Raven, I don't have magic, but I can still kick your ass" I growled.
"Do you know how I got a hold of the remote the last ti we spoke?"
"No, and I don't care." I snapped.
"Well, you should, I got it from Alpha King Ambrose. We're close, you see." Raven gave an insidious grin.
"Very close, so don't play with fire, Odette, or your bound to get burned."
I just scoffed. But I couldn't help but feel angry at the thought of them being close.
"What do you want Raven?" I rolled my eyes annoyed and ready to go back to bed.
"I just ca by to say I'll be seeing you tomorrow, Odette. Enjoy you're night." Raven snickered.
What the hell did she have planned for ?
