And when I finished those saying words. I felt it. I think we both did because her eyes widened and in that instant. I felt everything. Everything he felt, every ache in his body, every beat of his heart, every breath he took, every feeling racing through her mind. It was like we were sharing one. heart, mind and soul.
Was this the bond? Like what fated mates among shifters feel?
"Wow." I whispered. This is totally insane.
"I can feel you. Your heart is drumming as surprise and awe fill your mind. I can feel the blood in your veins, like its mine. This is incredible! She shouted, sitting straight up. She ran over to and pinched hard as fuck.
"Ow" we both said in unison.
"You felt that?" He asked .
"Yes!" I shouted and then pinched myself.
"Ow" We both said at the sa ti again.
"Holy shit." He said.
"Is this what a mate bond feels like?" Curious didn’t even begin to cover what I was.
"I don’t know, to tell you the truth." He looked excited, yet slightly unsettled.
"Well, this is pretty incredible. Either way, I’ve never felt less alone in my whole life. I can feel you present in my mind, it’s so crazy, I don’t even have the words to express it." I mumbled under my breath.
Wow, how unfair though, the goddess gave shifters mates, but not vampires? What does she play favorites?
The goddess... She was a second mother to now.
I hadn’t really had ti to let that resonate with . My mother. She wasn’t just the goddess anymore she was also my mother.
I looked up for the first ti and thought about her.
I wonder if my biological mother t her. There are so many secrets, and all this ti, I feel like they knew.
He rubbed down my arm pulling back from the depth of my thoughts.
"Hey, I can feel it now, I don’t even have to read your face, the wheels in your head are spinning. What’s going on up there?" Ambrose pulled my head to him and gently placed a kiss on my forehead.
"I’m just thinking about my family, wondering if they knew this whole ti. And it feels like they did. That’s why they weren’t concerned when my powers never ca in. Why it took so long. Why I trained so hard and had such a strict upbringing. Because they knew the whole ti, I wasn’t just a vampire, I was so much more." I paused, taking a deep breath letting my emotions calm and pulling in the tears that undoubtedly were pushing to the surface "They kept the biggest truth, a secret from for most of my life. How could they?"
I kept blinking trying to keep the tears back. "Sorry, my tears are threatening , extorting basically. So rude of them."
Ambrose chuckled and shook his head. "You’re cute sotis."
"I’m cute all the ti." I smirked.
"That you are." A comfortable silence that followed. "You should start training with Artemasia."
"I know. I plan to start tomorrow. She demanded. I see her anyways." I told him.
"She’s a powerful, but stubborn witch. She’s not above pushing you to the point of tears and then kicking you while you’re down. But she will teach you things you’ll need to know to control your power." Ambrose didn’t want blindsided, but what he doesn’t realize is my no one could train harder than my father did.
"You forget who my dad is? I’ve trained every single day of my life until you kidnapped ." I shot him a taunting smile. I’ll never let that go.
"I don’t regret kidnapping you." He grabbed by the waist and pulled in close. I buried my face in his chest.
"I swear your fox is smiling" He gestured to Phera.
"She probably is. She’s not an ordinary fox." I looked over to see if I have more permission to say sothing, and she nodded.
"That much I can tell, but I can’t tell what. Onyx can’t either, only that she’s older than him.
"She is, she says I can tell you now. She’s an 8 tailed fox spirit. The guardian of your mountain. She’s my guide, you’re my guardian, and I’ve got a purpose you guys are ant to help with."
"Why haven’t you told any of this until now?" He looked a little hurt, and after knowing my only family did the sa, I felt a little guilty.
"I only recently found all of this out. And I was told to wait, by Phera. She was sent by my mother, the goddess. So, I listened for a change."
"Wow, so you listen to a small cat, but fuck ?" He used a joking tone.
"Yes, but a fox is more like a wolf than a cat." I corrected.
"Yeah, but she’s nothing like a wolf, she’s a spirit." He said.
"True, I’m hungry, aren’t you?" I asked
"Yes."
We sat down to eat and looked up and asked "So you agree, you’ll be my Luna Queen?"
I looked up surprised but found myself nodding without even realizing. My body responding before my brain even processed the question.
"Great, I’ve already been planning to announce it to the pack at the gala and mark you in from of everyone."
"How romantic." I rolled my eyes; I’m going to bleed all over the dress.
He chuckled
We ate our dinner in the room and watched a movie together after. It was late at night by the ti they crawled in bed and found sleep.
When I woke up Ambrose was already gone. Probably dealing with my little explosion yesterday. I felt bad he was the one cleaning it up, but not about the fact I did it.
She deserved it. Isabella is a bitch, and when I’m announced as Luna, I’ll have my whole identity revealed. And I’ll wipe the floor with the look on her face.
A smile crept up my cheeks thinking about her expression and humiliation. I’ll look her dead in the eyes after he marks .
