Chapter 771: Chapter 476: Intensify
An hour later.
Around 2:40 in the afternoon, a steward from the Royal Palace arrived to notify Chen Lun to go to the Sun Palace to attend an ergency eting.
Chen Lun nodded in agreent, briefly inford Floey, then alone boarded the other party’s carriage and left the church district.
On the way, he secretly speculated that this eting was most likely triggered by the aggressive approaches of the Moon Church and the Constellation Sect. However, no matter what, this would not be a bad thing, as the greater the pressure on the Royal Family, the higher the probability of Noah surviving.
He rested with his eyes closed until the carriage stopped under marble steps.
Chen Lun silently gripped his Silver Staff as he alighted from the carriage and followed the steward up the steps, heading straight to the Royal Palace eting room.
Even before entering The Great Gate, he sensed the presence of a dozen or so formidable individuals inside. His “Spiritual Intuition” stirred, but due to the significant disparity in influence between the two sides, it was difficult to discern fortune from disaster. The only on it provided was a fog of uncertainty.
Normally in such situations, Chen Lun would stay as far away as possible, but now he simply took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
Creeeak…
Many eyes turned toward him as he entered; Chen Lun maintained a calm exterior, first bowing to the Prince seated in the place of honor, then silently walked to the seat reserved for the Generous Council and sat down.
While taking off his black top hat, he seized the opportunity to discreetly scan the attendees with his gaze.
The higher-ups from the Imperial Judgent Group and the Seven Gods Church were all seated, with an exceptionally large number of people in the area designated for the Moon Church.
The Hermitage’s High Priest Selma, leading them, was dressed in a black chiffon robe, with a deep purple felt short cape over the shoulders. Holding a crescent-shaped silver ornant at the chest, He was silent with His eyes closed. Beside Him, aligned in a row were seven Hermitage Moon Nuns, all wearing their nun’s caps, revealing their pale, expressionless faces with their eyelids kept low.
At first glance, they resembled a row of serene nun statues.
In another area, the Constellation Sect also had a significant number of people. Apart from the City Lord, Papa Chief Priest, there were five new faces, who, judging by their attire and decoration, appeared to be of the sa high level as Papa. The young and beautiful features of these high-ranking Constellation Chief Priests made it hard to imagine that such a group of lovely young ladies could be church leaders.
To Chen Lun’s surprise, Her Majesty, the Silver Dragon Witch Blaze, was also seated in this area, making him curious about Her close ties with the Constellation Sect.
There weren’t many exchanges in the eting room, and everyone present maintained silence. After a mont of waiting for all mbers to arrive, the Prince finally spoke:
“Today’s ergency eting has been convened primarily to discuss handling strategies for the ‘Solar Cross Society’… Over the past few days, through the efforts of the Imperial Judiciary and the Sun Church’s pursuit, many mbers entrenched within Bixie Crost have been captured, but so high-ranking mbers are still at large… This ti, I will not let them survive at large; we must eradicate them completely.”
“Your Highness, rest assured, the History and Ritual Association will fully assist the Royal Family in capturing those high-ranking mbers of the Solar Cross Society who are still at large.”
Aberhard, playing with a pen in his hand, chuckled softly.
Then, Camacho also spoke up, indicating that the Hailing Group would send out two High Priests to lead several elite teams of Transcendents called the “Return Squad” to hunt down the Solar Cross Society.
With these two factions speaking up, they aligned themselves with the Prince.
The several Judges and Sun Archbishops present, though silent, clearly supported the Royal camp.
Now only the Moon Church, Constellation Sect, Madman School, and Chen Lun’s represented Generous Council had yet to make a statent.
The silver-haired Papa Chief Priest, seeing the awkward silence, slowly began to speak:
“Your Highness, the Constellation Sect will also…”
“Papa McKenning.”
However, the constantly silent Silver Dragon Witch Blaze suddenly called out Papa’s na, cutting off His speech.
Papa’s shapely eyebrows raised slightly, and His crimson lips curved as He turned to look at Blaze, His lodious voice asking:
“Hmm? Blaze, what would you like to say?”
“Being in the Royal City these years seems to have made you forget your mission, lost in power and personal gains… Both the Hilbert Royal Family and the Constellation Pope have given you more than one opportunity, yet you remain obstinately unenlightened.”
The nebulous starlight shadow on Blaze’s face slowly faded away, revealing His delicate features; His thick, dark gray eyebrows slightly furrowed, and His valiant eyes filled with indifference.
Papa, montarily startled, then narrowed His beautiful eyes and pursed His lips stating:
“Blaze, after all, you are not a mber of the Constellation Sect. You have no right to criticize , let alone interfere with my decisions… I am the Constellation City’s Chief Priest, and everything should be my say. I command you to shut your mouth now.”
“I may not have the right, but soone does.”
Blaze calmly retorted.
He then raised His hand, revealing a mass of liquid tal floating in his palm. This mass “writhed” and spread out, then contracted and rotated, emitting indescribable colors… pink, deep red, and in monts like a blue-green dazzle of the starry sky, changing countless tis in an instant, dazzling the eye.
Many of the high-ranking mbers present changed color, their eyes showing shock.
Papa, who had tried to maintain composure, had his façade shattered in an instant, panic spilling across His face, hardening into disbelief.
