Whoosh!
The crowd imdiately noticed that the transparent crystal ball on the table suddenly darkened as if stained with ink, spreading a circle of darkness from the central area.
The blackness gradually filled the entire crystal ball, and then, a shocking image slowly erged…
A flash of white light suddenly illuminated the contours of the dark border, where countless ghastly Insect People surged forth. A lone figure stood in front of the tide of insects, lifting a golden sword aglow with golden light, striking down relentlessly.
The tide of insects turned to nothingness, only to be replaced by even more monts later.
Tracing back to the source, in the vast sky at the end stood a gigantic dark red celestial body. The thick black substance dripping from its surface struck the ground creating deep pits, resembling vast lakes, out of which the Insect People were born from bubbles…
The people within the sealed room stared at the image on the crystal ball for a long ti in silence.
A short while later.
McCollin’s expression was particularly solemn. He took a deep breath and, after glancing one last ti at the figure holding back the insect tide, he looked up at Chen Lun and said,
“This is indeed crucial intelligence. Although we can’t confirm anything just by the image, I think it’s enough to persuade the other Judgnt Chiefs… Jack, I will report this matter in full to His Majesty the Prince. The Spirit World investigation is to be halted for now, awaiting further notifications.”
“Yes, Chief McCollin.”
Chen Lun nodded.

Two afternoons later.
Chen Lun was resting in the Generous Church District when he suddenly received a transmission from Chief McCollin. The Judiciary’s ssenger was a trendous extraordinary sheep, and its appearance carrying a mailbox from the Spirit World surprised him slightly.
After reading the letter, Chen Lun gave it so of Anton’s rations and added two Gold Pounds as a tip. The ssenger appeared pleased, affectionately nudging him twice.
Then, Chen Lun imdiately rushed to the Judiciary building.
This ti, Chief McCollin summoned him alone.
The two sat again in the fifth-floor sealed room, where McCollin got straight to the point,
“Jack, the Prince is now aware of the root of the disturbance in the Spirit World—the black and red celestial body at the edge of darkness… Several of us Judgnt Chiefs, along with the Royal Family’s and Shelter’s high-ranking officials, have had nurous etings and can almost confirm that it is the ‘Father of Darkness,’ Distadact, in His Mythical Creature Form…”
Chen Lun, having already speculated this, was not overly surprised.
He just listened with a serious expression.
McCollin then continued,
“However, the Prince has dismissed several counterasures, expressing his wish that the Empire maintain a conservative strategy. The reason being… with only the Judiciary’s strength, we are not capable of killing the ‘Father of Darkness’. So all we can do is make every effort to intercept the spreading corruption of the insect tide.”
Chen Lun frowned slightly, but his expression remained calm.
Sothing seed off to him; the Prince’s decision appeared unproblematic on the surface but seed sowhat deliberate.
‘If it’s just about stopping the spread of corruption, it’s a temporary fix, not a cure. Prince Dazlert doesn’t seem like the conservative type… Is it because of Arno?’ he speculated.
McCollin soon added that the Prince would soon announce a new decree, calling on the Seven Righteous God Churches and the Empire’s extraordinary powers to head to the Spirit World and hunt the Didak insect tide.
‘The 2.0 version of the Main Quest is here…’
Chen Lun took a deep breath.
At the sa ti, he also received the notification that [Main Quest: The Second Phase of the Spirit World Investigation] was completed, and the rewards were being distributed.
