One of the watchn took a deep drag of his cigarette and shouted into the handset:
“This is the Coast Lighthouse… Little Muno, turn back now, don’t go any further. There’s a damned darkness ahead, and we don’t know what’s in there… For the sake of your crippled father and the girl you just married, turn around and co back!”

There was no response from the handset, just the noisy static hissing.
Having no choice, the old watchman repeated his ssage, but again there was no response.
He cursed under his breath, disconnected the wireless, and dialed the next ship’s frequency.
“Hey! This is the Coast Lighthouse…”
After notifying more than a dozen ships that had set sail, only Little Muno did not respond, leaving the watchn in a gloomy mood.
That was a fine young man, watched by them since he was a child; if sothing were to happen…

In the anti, one watchman was still observing the sea surface with his binoculars, but suddenly saw a figure in a black hat and suit appear in midair.

Directly ahead, a swath of darkness blocked his path; he frowned and halted in midair.
‘That is Mr. Bales’s presence… He is inside.’

He looked up at the sky; cold snowflakes brushed against him with the chilling wind.
Chen Lun took a deep breath, about to try entering the darkness to search for Mr. Bales’s whereabouts. But just then, an old fishing boat slowly drifted from within the darkness on the sea surface beneath him.
His gaze sharpened, sensing there were still living beings aboard.
‘A fishing boat that strayed into the Night Domain… Perhaps I could understand the situation inside through these fishern.’
After a mont’s thought, he used Instantaneous Movent to reach the deck of the fishing boat.
To his astonishnt, the barrels of goods on board had all burst, a complete ss, and the freshly caught fish had undergone terrifying mutations!
Their scales had fallen off, replaced by dense, disgusting black feathers, and their bodies were covered in yellow-brown pus! The fish opened their mouths, revealing densely packed, sharp teeth, crowing grotesquely, with pitch-black eyes filled with malice, writhing like hairy balls on the deck.
Upon seeing Chen Lun, they sward towards him and then spontaneously exploded.
