Chapter 499: Chapter 353 Truth (Two in One)_2

There was also that book, “Philip’s Dreamland Adventure,” which recreated a separate world within a book from the Dream Realm. How did he manage to do that… and back then, when he tead up with Howard to challenge their common ntor, Mr. Klaff, did they succeed?

All these doubts made Chen Lun montarily unsure how to begin speaking.

However, Philip seed to see what was on his mind and sighed naturally before saying,

“I know you have many questions you want to ask , Jack.”

He picked up his wine glass and gestured to Chen Lun.

“And that is also why, after regaining my brief freedom, I sought you out first… Don’t worry, I will explain everything to you slowly.”

Chen Lun took a deep breath and nodded.

He then picked up a tall glass filled with milk and clinked glasses with Philip lightly.

Clink!

After both n had sipped their drinks, Philip burst out laughing, which made Chen Lun pause in surprise.

“Hahaha…”

Philip leaned back on the sofa, laughing with his head thrown back.

“To finally be able to sit down and have a chat like friends over a drink, Jack… you have no idea how long I’ve waited for this day.”

He shook his head, his tone filled with wistfulness.

“Since the guidance of destiny fell upon , I had foreseen you decades later… You were to be my dear friend, my student, my hope… Yet, all these were separated by long stretches of ti, and I could only struggle along the path of gods, leaving behind clues and information for you.”

“Guidance of destiny?”

Chen Lun heard the familiar phrase again.

Although he had always used this phrase to hoodwink players, he knew very well that in this world with real gods, the guidance of destiny was no joke, but a true existence… just like the warning Alec once gave him, which ca from a revelation in the Dream Realm.

“Yes…”

Philip nodded, his expression turning serious.

“I don’t know how to explain this guidance to you; it’s intangible, yet so intense. With my current Sequence and authority, I can’t trace its origins… but I know, it cos from the end of our Path of Destiny.”

“You an, the God of Destiny?”

Chen Lun couldn’t help but perk up, his heart racing.

Philip chuckled lightly and shook his head.

“God of Destiny… We don’t call Him that, just as the real gods of the other nine paths are given honorary titles by the creatures of the present world, the Path of Destiny is no different, His na is ‘Ring Duke’!”

Chen Lun held his breath, carefully listening to the secret information Philip was revealing.

Philip took another sip of red wine and continued,

“Besides this, there are titles such as Lord of Destiny, Supre Fortune, and Origin of Beginnings and Ends… all these can refer to Him, and across the past several epochs, Ring Duke has been existent in so corner of the world unseen and unfathomable, only beings of angels and above could glimpse the traces of His intervention in historical paradigms and pivotal monts.”

‘True God of Destiny… Ring Duke.’

Just hearing this secretive title made Chen Lun feel a strong sense of fate washing over him, as if a vast fog from a distant place erged to engulf him.

At that mont, Philip leaned forward conspiratorially, whispering,

“Take the Tresor Empire as an example; it is said that the end of The Fourth Era and the beginning of The Fifth Era, this critical historical juncture, was pushed behind the scenes by Ring Duke… in other words, the dawn of the Solar Era, the unification of the continent and the establishnt of the Empire by the Tresor Family, was actually accepting the guidance of destiny.”

Chen Lun inadvertently held his breath.

‘The establishnt of the Tresor Empire was due to Ring Duke’s behind-the-scenes influence? Why would He do this? What about the Sun God, Liefather, whom the Tresor Royal Family worships? What was His stance? Could it be that these two deities had reached so sort of consensus or agreent?’

He was shocked by this, and then, mocking himself, he shook his head.

These matters were too far removed from himself, and speculation now was useless and only a source of trouble.

“But over four thousand years have passed since the beginning of The Fifth Era, and since then, Ring Duke has not responded to believers, nor has any divine act been seen… as if He had never appeared at all, which indirectly leads to fewer people who know of His existence, and the records about Him are gradually disappearing.”

Philip lanted.

“But I know, He must still be in so corner of the world, watching the years go by, witnessing the changing of eras, occasionally guiding those key individuals who can influence the world’s trajectory…”

He raised his head and looked at Chen Lun, smiling as he said,

“Just like you, and .”

After listening to Philip’s brief overview of the God of Destiny, Chen Lun roughly understood the supre being that lay at the end of his own path.

But he did not agree with Philip’s last remark.

Chen Lun was very self-aware, never considering himself a Chosen One, a Savior, or a “key individual” who could influence the world’s destiny. Apart from the excuses he made up to hoodwink players, he had in fact never received any so-called “guidance of destiny,” which was the most corroborating point.

After chatting casually for a bit more, Philip brought the topic back to himself.

“You must be wondering why I haven’t died yet, right? Jack.”
