Chapter 497: Chapter 352 We Finally et, Jack

Alec stood silently in place, in this stagnant and deathly silent dreamscape, muttering not a word.

Another mont passed.

“Do not interfere too much with Jack’s destiny, it does no good for any of you…”

Alec slowly spoke.

Philip, however, shook his head.

“Sorry, Your Majesty, I… didn’t do it on purpose. When I received the guidance of destiny, I knew he would be the key to breaking the stalemate and the important person who could help completely break free from the entanglents of the Dream Realm… I bear no ill will towards him, it’s just… life is truly like a dream, I felt as if I had known him for a long ti, wanting to assist him in ascending to a high position quickly, to help him step onto that true stage.”

Alec looked deeply at him,

as if deep in thought.

Then, he murmured another faint sentence.

Philip suddenly startled because he heard the vague four words:

“Ring of Destiny…”

Alec raised his head, indifferently warning:

“The guidance of destiny is not always true and correct, rember that… Besides, pushing too hard and blindly can bring about a backlash of misfortune.”

Philip stood there dazed, and in the end, he bowed his head deeply.

“Thank you for your advice, Your Majesty.”

Alec said no more, and the silver rings in his eyes slowly faded away.

The surroundings, as if the play button was pressed, “moved” again, returning to normal.

Alec was oblivious to all of this, as a wary and puzzled expression erged on his face once again, and he loudly scolded, pointing at Philip:

“Suspicious character, I now command you to surrender! Otherwise, my sword shall sever your head!”

As if to prove his words, a dazzling sword, shimring with blinding light, fell from the sky, landing in Alec’s hand. He was like a hero from mythical legends, holding the sword as he took to the air, his body emitting golden light, illuminating the entire night sky.

Princess looked up, hands together in prayer, her beautiful eyes rippling with adoration and admiration.

The spectators at the bonfire party also cheered wildly, shouting Alec’s na.

And seeing this scene, Philip took a deep breath.

He knew that in this exclusive dreamscape, the other party was almost invincible…

If he were to be struck by the sword, it would be quite troubleso.

But after eting His Majesty, he at least obtained permission to leave this place.

Philip was just about to awaken.

But then, he began to faintly hear a blurred prayer—

“Patron of destiny, perforr of joy, clown of smiles… Lord Philip, if you hear the voice of your subordinate, I earnestly beseech you to lend a hand in rescuing the tea party; the despicable Murder Club has sent five incarnations of Round Table Knights, and they are imprisoning us…”

His brows furrowed involuntarily.

“Is that Manoran’s voice?”

Jack vineyard.

Spirit World.

Manoran and the Twilight Tea Party mbers were bound by “silkworm cocoon prisons” woven of shadow mud, hanging high in midair, with black silken threads linking straight to the ceiling.

Below them, five high-backed chairs made of black shadows were erected, with five Round Table Knights sitting upon them.

And Chen Lun stood to the side, leaning on the Silver Staff in one hand and holding a black top hat in the other, interestedly watching the scene unfold.

“You only have ten seconds,”

the Mulenga Knight spoke indifferently.

“Once the ti is up, the shadow will pierce your bodies and extract your spirituality, and this process will last for 43,200 seconds… During that ti, every second will be a torture beyond normal agony.”

Manoran felt the icy shadows tightly wrapping around him as sweat covered his cheeks.

He knew his ti was running out.

His mouth slowly opened, but he dared not speak rashly.

Every mber of the Twilight Tea Party had once signed a “Destiny Contract”, their fates closely tied to the Party. If he leaked secrets and caused significant damage or even destruction to the Party, he, too, would ultimately die.

To speak was to die; to remain silent was to die as well.

Speaking out would only delay the process, but the outco would be no different.

The imnse pressure of death almost caused him to faint.

Manoran could only pray frantically to the Tea Party’s leader, Howard, and the acting leader, Philip, hoping they could hear his voice and bestow a miracle.

“Ten, nine, eight…”

The Mulenga Knight, with hands on the arms of the pitch-black high-backed chair, counted down dispassionately.

The cold countdown echoed throughout the space.

Manoran’s heartbeat was already pounding violently; he could hardly bear the tornt any longer.

“Four, three, two…”

Just as the countdown was about to reach one, Manoran steeled his heart and, gritting his teeth, prepared to speak.

But at that mont,

Mulenga ceased speaking, as did the other four Round Table Knights, who all turned their gazes to the right simultaneously. Manoran and the others, their breathing halting, also turned their bloodshot eyes in that direction—

There, in a corner of the living room, stood an old-fashioned upright wooden clock.

The pendulum swung back and forth with the ticking of the second hand, making a tick-tock sound.

Yet in the invisible air in front of them, a blond man slowly stepped forth.

In a black and white striped vintage suit, the iconic slicked-back hair, a haggard face, and deep dark circles under his eyes…

Manoran and the others imdiately recognized the newcor as the acting leader of the Tea Party, none other than His Majesty Philip!

They couldn’t help but be overjoyed, and in their reddened eyes shone the dazzling light of hope.

They were saved!

The five Round Table Knights stood up in unison, their faces serious and wary as they watched the unfamiliar visitor.

They all distinctly felt the Mythical presence emanating from the blond man.

This ant that he, too, was a high-ranking entity.

And furthermore, his Sequence was even higher!

What concerned them the most was that this person had arrived in the flesh, unlike themselves, who were re incarnations!

“Who might you be?”

asked Kingsberg in a grave voice.

Philip looked around and, with a sowhat troubled sigh, spoke wearily,

“You can call Philip, currently forced to take on the role of acting leader of the Twilight Tea Party.”

“?!”

The five Round Table Knights’ pupils shrank as they exchanged silent glances.

The acting leader of the Twilight Tea Party?!

They had never heard of such a person before.

The current situation seed a bit troubleso…

“Philip?!”

Standing to one side, Chen Lun felt his whole body tremble as he stared at the fatigued golden-haired man not far away, feeling incredulous.

“Didn’t he already die? How could he… Could it be a coincidence of having the sa na…”

From the mont Philip appeared, Chen Lun beca alert. The other party had ignored the space disrupted by the “Breath of the Spirit Fire” and stepped into the area unaffected.

The reactions of the five Round Table Knights beside him also told him that the other party was definitely not a simple character.

Nine out of ten, he was a high-ranking individual!

“Everyone, don’t be nervous, haha…”

Philip raised his hands as if surrendering and said with a smile.

But no one present reacted much, and the apprehension on the faces of the five Round Table Knights deepened.

“Why so serious? Just smile a little.”

Philip coughed awkwardly, but no one paid him any attention.

He shrugged his shoulders and then turned his gaze to the black-suited Gentleman beside the five Round Table Knights, showing a genuine smile, his tone full of emotion:

“Jack, we finally et.”

Including the five Round Table Knights, everyone present looked very puzzled.

Jack actually knew this man?!

Chen Lun’s eyes widened even more, and he asked uncertainly:

“You… Are you really Philip?”

“Why would you have such a question? Very strange…”

Philip looked surprised, patted his black and white striped suit with pride, and said sowhat boastfully:

“How about it? Isn’t my outfit explosive? Doesn’t it look handso? Like a wild male zebra, attracting everyone’s gaze!”

He even winked at Chen Lun, whispering as if sharing with a friend:

“A couple of days ago, I wore it while with a beautiful zebra lady…”

Philip clicked his tongue and gave a knowing look.

Chen Lun was imdiately stunned.

He was now almost certain…

The man before him was indeed the Philip he knew.

“We’ll talk later.”

Philip said to him, then smiled and turned to the other Round Table Knights:

“May I ask my friends, what has happened here? Can you tell about it?”

The five Round Table Knights exchanged glances, still unclear about the other party’s attitude.

But out of respect for his power, they did not want to turn hostile just yet, so the tall Knight Kingsberg stepped forward and gave a brief recount of the situation.

“I see…”

Philip nodded, an expression of realization on his face.

He then apologetically said to the Round Table Knights:

“I’m truly sorry, I’ve just been ‘released from prison’ not long ago, and there’s a lot I don’t understand… I was even held up by an old friend for a while, wasting so ti, and had no idea so much had happened at the tea party.”

The crowd did not quite understand his words.

But Philip kept talking to himself, then looked up at the people trapped in the dark cocoons at the tea party, and asked aloud:

“Manoran, deciding to intervene in the seat struggle and leading the tea party to ally with the Black Knife Brotherhood… Whose idea was this?”

Manoran, puzzled as to why the acting chairman would ask this, hesitated for a few seconds before saying sternly:

“It’s the collective will of the tea party…”

“Bullshit!”

Anderson, also hanging beside them, cursed loudly.

“Your Majesty Philip, during the ti when the chairman and you were both away from the tea party, all the internal authority was seized by Manoran and his followers… They coerced and enticed the other mbers, eventually securing this decision by an absolute majority!”

“Your Majesty Philip, do not trust his words alone! It was all him…”

Manoran cursed angrily.

But was quickly interrupted by Philip.

“Alright, shut up, everyone.”

He shook his head in resignation and then turned to the five mbers of the Round Table Knights.

Pointing to the nurous dark cocoons above his head, he said with a smile:

“Really sorry for causing such a farce… These are so damned nuisances, just go ahead and kill them.”

“?!”

Manoran and the others looked incredulous.

“Phi… Your Majesty Philip! You…?!”

Philip tilted his head and grinned, adopting the peculiar tone of teasing a child:

“Shut up, and then smile.”

Suddenly.

All the people trapped in the shadow cocoons above their heads were unable to speak, and without exception, their faces showed a bizarre smile. It was only in their eyes that they were filled with extre terror.

“Mr. Philip, what do you an by this?”

Kingsberg asked in a deep voice.

Philip spread his hands.

“I’m serious. Just go ahead and kill these guys above my head, and then we can negotiate…”

He pointed to the black-suited Gentleman next to the Round Table Knights, chuckling:

“Out of consideration for Jack, I will take the remaining mbers of the tea party and withdraw from the cooperation with the Black Knife Brotherhood…”

Philip rested his chin on his hand and pondered for two seconds.

“Hmm, and I’m not opposed to cooperating with your club either…”

The five Round Table Knights looked at each other.

After a mont of silence,

the Round Table Knights appeared to communicate in a way that others couldn’t understand.

Considering Philip’s strong influence and not wishing to clash with him, they decided to report the matter to the Knight Commander. At this point, Knight Bindu stepped forward and nodded to Philip:

“Your Excellency, this matter is of great importance. Would it be better for the Knight Commander himself to discuss it with you in private?”

“No problem.”

Philip smiled.

At the sa ti, he winked at Chen Lun again, as if saying:

How about that? Pretty decent, right?
