Chapter 482: 340

“Twilight Tea Party?”

Mulenga raised an eyebrow.

“Once one of the Seven Righteous God Churches, an organization that worships the God of Destiny… They weren’t called this na before; it used to be ‘Dawn Tea Party’.”

“That group was keen on ddling with others’ destinies, which led them down a road to self-destruction. Now only a few mbers are left, and they still haven’t given up…”

Peggy showed a look of disdain.

The two Round Table Knights didn’t question Chen Lun’s source of information. Mulenga gave him a deep look and asked,

“Jack, do you have any substantial evidence? This matter is of great importance; I need to report it to the Knight Commander…”

“I don’t have concrete evidence yet; I’ve only spotted so clues.”

Chen Lun shook his head, taking out a red juggling ball.

“This is a supernatural object I obtained from Him during a confrontation with Hor’s incarnation…”

Mulenga took the juggling ball and exchanged a look with Peggy.

Without concrete evidence…

This matter likely won’t draw much attention from the other Round Table Knights.

Mulenga examined the red juggling ball in his hand, squinting his eyes slightly, and then spoke,

“It retains a trace of the Path of Destiny’s power; did Hor use it to arrive here instantaneously?”

“Yes.”

Chen Lun nodded.

“Shortly after I killed the leader of the Black Knife Assassins, Roxanne, Hor’s incarnation arrived… If I’m not wrong, this juggling ball should have the ability of the ‘Destiny Faction Sequence Six—Aerial Acrobat,’ which is long-distance teleportation.”

Mulenga pondered for a mont.

He eventually shook his head reluctantly.

“It’s not that we don’t believe you, Jack, but this juggling ball alone isn’t convincing enough; the other Round Table Knights won’t take it too seriously…”

“I understand, Lord Mulenga.”

Chen Lun had already ntally prepared himself, his expression calm.

“It’s just that the club wants to secure a spot among the many transcendent forces at the Righteous God Church, and we need to be wary of any unexpected incidents… I’m rely issuing a formal warning to the Round Table Knights as a mber of the Golden Cup.”

Mulenga and Peggy nodded, appreciating the young man in the black hat before them and agreeing with his words.

“The Knight Commander once said that the Black Knife Brotherhood is the club’s biggest rival. If the Twilight Tea Party really is pushing them from behind, then it indeed warrants attention…”

Mulenga pondered and then spoke.

Chen Lun bowed slightly to the two Round Table Knights.

“I suggest the club dispatch soone to covertly monitor the Black Knife Brotherhood’s activities; we might discover traces of the Twilight Tea Party.”

“Jack, since you know this is a critical mont in the struggle for positions, you must understand that the club’s manpower is scarce and highly valuable… If this leads to nothing, and resources are wasted, your reputation within the Round Table Knights could greatly suffer.”

Mulenga’s expression turned serious.

Chen Lun showed a slight smile, acknowledging the well-intentioned warning, as he indeed lacked solid evidence. However, if he wanted to push the Murder Club to ascend, he had to make the right decision at this mont.

What he needed was just for the club to remain cautious about the Twilight Tea Party, to avoid being caught off guard by a sudden attack during the final battle, like in mories of his past life.

“Yes, Lord Mulenga, I formally make this suggestion.”

Chen Lun said solemnly.

The two Round Table Knights nodded.

“Since that’s the case, I’ll convey this ssage to the Knight Commander for you and call a eting of the Round Table Knights to focus on the matter of the Twilight Tea Party…”

Mulenga smiled again.

“It’s clear you are dedicated to the club, and your potential is among the greatest I’ve ever seen… I hope you’ll ascend to a high position soon and beco one of us.”

He took out a triangular tal piece, engraved with a piece of fabric and a long sword.

“This is my token; you can contact with it… In the Round Table Knights, aside from the Knight Commander, I, Peggy, and three others hold you in high esteem. Try not to perish on your journey, Jack.”

“Thank you for your praise and advice.”

Chen Lun accepted Mulenga’s token, bowing with his hand on his chest to the two.

Soon after, a notification popped up on his panel.

[Mulenga’s affection toward you has increased! It is now Friendly!]

[Peggy’s affection toward you has increased! It is now Friendly!]

After the two dignitaries and their faceless servants left,

Peggy gave him a aningful smile, hinting at sothing; Chen Lun pretended not to see, bowing slightly.

Only after the avatars of the two VIPs had departed did Chen Lun finally breathe a sigh of relief.

“At last, that chapter is closed.”

He then smiled, looking at the two tal pieces in his hand.

One triangular, one square.

‘These are tokens from the Saints, adding two more connections to my network…’ Chen Lun thought to himself.

He really had to thank the upper echelons of the Black Knife Brotherhood for sending Hor’s Saint incarnation, allowing him to test his capabilities in real combat as “Pale Knight” and reaping a significant bounty.

More importantly, it helped him showcase his strength to the two Round Table Knights, gaining their approval and admiration… The tokens from the Saints were sothing money couldn’t buy.

‘The information about the Twilight Tea Party has also been passed to the Round Table Knights. Hopefully, they won’t repeat the sa mistakes…’ Chen Lun sighed inwardly.

The veil of night that had blanketed the sky slowly receded.

The Circus, Shelter, and Moon Church, three factions, were gathered together.

The recent arrival of Hor’s Incarnation, followed by the two Round Table Knights, had consecutively alard Corliss and Tobin, who didn’t dare to take a single step forward throughout.

Only after the Round Table Knights departed did they finally exhale in relief.

Chen Lun, observing the surroundings becoming gradually brighter, couldn’t help but smile and said to the two n,

“Since the Red Calamity of Pine Sand City has been cleansed, we should also depart.”

“Once again, I express my gratitude to you, Mr. Jack…”

Corliss said respectfully.

Through this series of events, the officials had realized that this gentleman in the black hat was not only exceptionally strong, but also held a high position within the Murder Club… After all, a Mid Sequence being who one-on-one had defeated an Incarnation of the Saint, even startling two Round Table Knights, could not be simple.

In their hearts, Corliss and Tobin gradually elevated Mr. Jack to an even higher status.

Their deanor unconsciously beca even more submissive.

“Next, will you lead your team to continue to other Red Calamity Areas in Rock State?”

Corliss asked.

Chen Lun nodded, feigning thought.

“Of course, the Red Calamity is severe. As long as they are not completely eradicated, the Empire will not have a single day of peace… More and more innocent people will lose their lives in this disaster,” he said.

Corliss, Tobin, and their subordinates instantly looked at him with deep respect.

“Please rest assured, I will order the lockdown of today’s events to avoid exposing your other identity… ‘Spade Knight Qiaoke’ being listed on the S-rank wanted list could cause unnecessary trouble for you,” said Corliss very perceptively.

The adjacent Bishop Tobin also voiced his agreent.

Chen Lun displayed a surprised expression, and both n responded with a knowing glance.

“The one on the wanted list is ‘Spade Knight Qiaoke,’ what has that to do with , ‘Pale Knight Jack’? What do you think?” he said seriously.

Corliss and Tobin were montarily stunned.

Soon after, they saw Mr. Jack leading his subordinates as they slowly moved away, accompanied by bursts of laughter.

The short man and the robed elder looked at each other and soon smiled as well.

They knew it was Mr. Jack’s joke but also realized the underlying aning in his words.

That was, there was simply no need to hide it.

They only needed to proclaim his identity as “Pale Knight” publicly. Although in the eyes of the upper echelons of the various supernatural factions, Jack and Qiaoke were the sa person, during such a critical ti, having this face-saving “fig leaf” ant no one would be foolish enough to co forward and reveal the truth.

Everything was for the suppression of the Red Calamity!

Corliss took a deep breath, holding great hope for the Empire’s future peace.

When Chen Lun returned near the carriage, he suddenly noticed sothing unusual.

“Floey, you go on the carriage first, I will be back shortly,” he turned and said to the black-dressed girl beside him.

“Yes.”

Floey and the others did not ask further, they respectfully bowed and obediently boarded the carriage.

Chen Lun then walked alone to the side, following his Spiritual Intuition’s guidance, and stopped in an alley a hundred ters away.

After seeing the scene inside the alley, he slightly furrowed his brow.

He saw four n, wearing brown wide-brimd hats and short leather jackets, now oddly lying on the ground, having already lost the breath of life.

‘Four Black Knife Assassins… all Mid Sequence transcendent beings, showing no visible injuries, it seems they died suddenly.’

Chen Lun bent down to examine the bodies.

He found that these four n had died not long ago, their bodies were still warm and not completely stiff.

The strangest part was that their spirituality had vanished without a trace, which was also why the corpses had not transford into Mysterious Objects.

This inevitably made Chen Lun fall into brief contemplation.

‘These must be Roxanne’s subordinates, why would they die here?’

As the corpses lacked spirituality, Chen Lun could not perform a summoning with “Moonlight in Palm.”

So, he had to take out a deck of cards and perform a divination.

After several attempts, Chen Lun concluded one thing.

The purpose of these four Black Knife Assassins lurking in the alley was actually to target him… To be precise, Roxanne had harbored ill intentions from the start, having prepared people in advance, planning to assault the carriage and kill the mbers of the Circus left behind after everyone entered the Nightfall Domain.

Chen Lun’s eyes narrowed slightly.

Although Maggie and the eight Black Crystal craftsn were more than capable of handling these four individuals, thinking about it now still irritated him. The Black Knife Brotherhood was like cockroaches in the dark, always disgustingly botherso.

‘So how did they die? They hadn’t yet made their move when they suddenly died…’

He stood up with these questions, casually threw a mass of Supernatural Fla, and incinerated the bodies.

He then turned and left the alley.

Back at the carriage, all the Circus mbers saluted him, except for Alec who was still snoozing on a chair; startled by the noise, he slowly woke up, yawning.

‘Could it be him?’

Chen Lun glanced at the blonde youth wearing a flamboyant cloak, a thought crossing his mind.

If external factors were set aside, Alec was the only one in the entire group he couldn’t see through.

‘Look for an opportunity to test him.’
