Chapter 171: Chapter 154 Leader’s Strength

After dinner.

Under Chen Lun’s guidance, everyone ca together to the open space in the manor’s backyard.

Here, the servants had previously placed a circle of chairs, forming a ring. The Purple Moon was hazy in the sky, and tiny snowflakes fell, making the entire scene appear dreamlike.

Floey, Noah, Maggie, Golov, and Barton, one after another, chose a chair and sat down.

As Transcendents, their physical constitutions were much higher than those of mortals, so naturally, they were not as fearful of the cold.

Chen Lun stood in front of them, exhaling a breath of white air, and swept a smile over them with a glance.

“Are you ready, everyone?”

People looked at him and nodded seriously.

Without turning his head, Chen Lun snapped his fingers behind him, and a spark flew out of his hand into a large iron basin behind him, igniting the firewood inside.

With a whoosh sound, flas surged to the height of a person, kindling a roaring fire.

The wave of heat lit up behind the young man with dark hair, so bright that his front was backlit, his face obscured and indistinct.

“Then, I’ll see you in our dreams…”

Leader Jack’s voice ca over.

He slowly raised his palm, with green luminescence flickering, and nurous delicate, illusionary branches intertwined from his sleeve to form a “book.”

It opened in front of them!

Rustling…

“Enter my dream quietly.”

Jack’s calm voice ca through.

Boom!

Before the eyes of everyone present, a dazzling white light burst forth simultaneously.

Imdiately, all the sounds by their ears vanished, and everything fell into utter silence.

No one knew how much ti had passed.

When the people ca back to their senses again, they found themselves sitting on a grassland.

Whoosh…

The gentle breeze brushed over their faces, warm with the fresh scent of grass, making it hard to distinguish between illusion and reality at once.

They looked up to see clear weather and a cloudless sky.

The air was fresh all around, and the temperature was comfortable, completely unlike the expected cold of winter.

“Where is this place?”

Barton’s eyes widened in disbelief.

“Leader had told us about this before; it’s another world, a lost land he nad ‘Immortal Realm’… We must have traveled here through dreams, using Spirituality.”

Golov explained.

Although he seed relatively calm, the shock in his heart was no less than Barton’s.

Such divine-like thods, he had never heard of.

Turning his head, he saw Floey standing quietly on the grass, hands crossed in front of her as she lifted her face and felt the breeze.

Noah’s eyes glead, seemingly captivated by the scenery before him, eager to pull out his easel and paint a picture right away.

Maggie squatted down, pulling at the grass on the ground, as if researching the difference between these plants and those in the real world.

“Everyone.”

The familiar voice ca from the sky.

They couldn’t help but look up.

Boom!

A huge shadow descended from the sky, black wings spread wide behind, and feathers drifted down.

The young man with dark hair, pressing down on his black top hat with one hand and propping the Silver Staff with the other, stood before them.

“Welco to ‘Immortal Realm’, this is ‘The Otherworld,’ opposite to the real world. There’s no need to worry about the environnt being destroyed here, as it will restore itself…”

Chen Lun looked at the astonished five people with a chuckle in his mind.

After half a year, he decided to bring team mbers into the “Immortal Realm” for a test. It was both a check on their abilities and an exploration of the chanics of “Immortal Realm.”

Before this, he had caught so gang mbers down by the water to test the Immortal Realm as “lab rats.”

The facts proved that these NPCs indeed wouldn’t die when they perished in the Immortal Realm, but it would cause damage to their Spirituality.

A death or two could be accepted, only requiring so ti to recover naturally. But if they were to die too many tis, it would cause deep damage to their Spirituality and beco difficult to recover from, potentially leading to actual death.

Chen Lun had given this so thought.

Players relying on the ability to resurrect could recklessly barge around the world, making errors without concern.

Now, by bringing team mbers into the “Immortal Realm,” he could allow them to have the players’ “resurrection” ability and let loose in this fictional world…

Although death here damaged Spirituality, as long as it wasn’t an actual death, it held value for training. And with Maggie’s “Serenity Potion” for support, the mbers could recover quickly from their enervation.

Sweating more in peaceti, bleeding less in warti.

This was an eternal rule of combat.

‘It’s just strange why the players die in the Immortal Realm, and it’s counted as a real death…’.

Chen Lun pondered briefly.

‘Is their Spirituality so fragile that kneel once here leads to instant death?’

Maggie shouted excitedly:

“Leader, we can use Supernatural Power freely here without issues, right?”

“Yes.”

Chen Lun nodded.

“So, the Blood Bottles won’t be a problem either! I have several poisons that haven’t been tested due to lack of a proper facility…!”

Maggie laughed, pulling out a few bottles of yellow, green, and purple strange concoctions from her bosom.

Golov and Barton, who were closer to her, quickly retreated a few steps, looking tense.

“As you please…”

Chen Lun smiled faintly.

He adjusted the brim of his hat, and a gentle breeze fluttered the edge of his coat, causing the black tailsuit to rustle.

“All five of you, co at together… Don’t worry about hurting , and don’t be afraid of getting hurt yourselves. In the ‘Immortal Realm’, even death can lead to resurrection.

Whether in life or death, this will all be but a dream…”

Chen Lun slamd his Silver Staff into the ground.

Thud!

His expression turned incredibly serious as he shouted,

“Fight with all you’ve got! Let see what you’re capable of! Co! Attack !!”

Woosh—!

No sooner had he spoken than a green glass bottle spun through the air and flew straight towards him.

Chen Lun raised his staff, drawing a silver arc that positioned itself in front of his head. The next second, the bottle collided with the staff, shattering on impact.

Upon contact with the air, the bright green liquid inside turned into a pungent green smoke.

“Hahaha…! Leader! This is my ‘Bone Corroding Poison’, how does it feel?”

Maggie’s laughter rang out.

But her laughter soon stalled.

That’s because the figure with the black hat walked through the green smoke unhard, even smiling.

“It feels average, just a bit pungent, makes want to sneeze,”

said Chen Lun softly.

Maggie’s face instantly turned ashen. She made a swift backflip in midair and, with agility, threw two purple bottles.

“What are you waiting for?! You think the Leader is going to go easy on us? Attack now!!”

Golov and Barton exchanged glances, and with an unspoken understanding, flanked Chen Lun from the left and the right.

They moved swiftly, crouching low to the ground, clutching short daggers, waiting for an opportunity to launch a sneak attack.

Chen Lun raised his hand, intending to deflect the two incoming purple glass bottles to prevent them from shattering in front of him and spilling their strange liquid contents.

However, unexpectedly, the purple bottles expanded mid-air and exploded prematurely.

Bang!!

A dense purple mist spread out, and a fragrance that seed to strike at the heart wafted up. The scent of the fragrance made the purple smoke seem dazzling and dreamlike.

Chen Lun raised an eyebrow. Although he had high Poison Resistance, he still felt pleasantly euphoric, slightly excited.

‘Such a poison… more like a stimulant, inducing hallucinations? Affecting the senses? Quite a good idea…’

he thought.

At that mont, two daggers, one from the left and one from the right, pierced through the purple smoke aiming for his ribs!

Clang! Clang!

The Silver Staff in Chen Lun’s hand effortlessly blocked the two sneak attacks.

Golov and Barton’s faces fell, wanting to escape, but the next second, they heard a gust of wind beside their ears.

They imdiately felt chills down their spines, panic rising within them.

A sense of impending death suddenly intensified.

Bang! Bang!

Two loud noises erupted almost simultaneously.

Golov and Barton were sent flying backwards, skidding dozens of ters across the grass and collapsing to the ground, struggling to get up.

Chen Lun shook his Silver Staff and was about to speak when his Spiritual Intuition sent him a warning.

“Hmm?”

Turning his head, he saw a beam of dark light shooting straight towards him.

Rather than take the hit, Chen Lun moved aside swiftly.

Whizz!

The dark beam hit the ground, wilting and killing all the grass within a circular area.

Looking up, he saw Noah raising his arm with a Gallery shadow looming behind him, fixed on the ‘Empire Silence’ painting. He was using the power of the Moon Faction’s Sequence Seven – Soul Consoler – to attack him.

Black wings unfurled behind Chen Lun, and without warning, he shot up into the sky.

The next instant.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

Just as he left the ground, seven or eight thick, black-purple flower stalks burst from the soil like monstrous hands, reaching for him.

Too bad they just missed!

Whoosh!

Chen Lun’s wings flapped fiercely as he sorsaulted and flipped back down.

His Silver Staff clicked twice, transforming into a Silver Sword, which he casually held, its point angled towards the ground. His other hand lowered the brim of his hat, and within the shadow, his green vertical pupils glead with admiration.

‘Worthy of two boss-level seed players. Although they haven’t fully developed yet, they already possess an elite’s panel and pose so threat to …’

Chen Lun revealed a smile, his mouth wide open.

“Get ready! I’m coming on the offensive!”

Golov and Barton, having been forcibly fed a Blood Bottle by Maggie, now had enough strength to rise from the ground.

Upon hearing their Leader’s declaration, their hearts leaped to their throats.

Noah looked serious as the paintings behind him whirled madly before finally settling on ‘Pupil in Painting’.

He whispered sothing to Floey, who nodded slightly.

“Ha—!”

Chen Lun dove down, lifting the Silver Sword in his hand.

The imnse pressure made Noah feel as if he would be cleaved in two the next mont!

Golov and Barton, unable to muster the will to resist, still shakily held their daggers, looking up defensively.

Maggie tilted her head back and downed a Poison Bottle, then her right arm transford into a claw covered in green scales, fierce and dreadful.

Boom!!

The Leader’s figure flashed by.
