The mont Gensou's order was given, his forces moved as one. Erging from their concealed barrier like a scalpel, they struck with precision, heading straight for the heart of the Allied Shinobi Army's main base. Their objective was clear: eliminate the last organized unit of considerable strength within the allied forces.
They didn't join Gensou on his front.
Not because he needed help—he clearly didn't—but because the third interception force surrounding him hadn't been entirely routed yet.
Rather than getting tangled up with nearly ten thousand shinobi bolstered by Edo Tensei reinforcents, it was more efficient to cripple the army's command center. This two-pronged assault would reduce the trouble Gensou might face later.
The mont over a hundred of Gensou's elite warriors stepped onto the battlefield, moving at incredible speed, a nearby Allied reconnaissance team noticed sothing was amiss.
"Massive chakra signatures at seven o'clock!" a sensor ninja from the Cloud Village quickly reported.
"Byakugan!"
A Hyūga clan ninja activated his Byakugan, scanning in the indicated direction.
"Between one hundred and one hundred twenty individuals," he said, "and their chakra levels are all at jōnin rank! No—so of them rival the Five Kage or surpass them!"
"Most of them are reanimated by Edo Tensei!"
The Allied reconnaissance team consisted of top-tier sensors from the five great ninja villages. Within monts, they deduced the identities of this sudden force.
Clearly, this was Gensou's faction, consisting mostly of Edo Tensei warriors, which had remained dormant since the start of the war.
Under normal circumstances, the reconnaissance team would imdiately relay this information to headquarters.
However, for reasons unknown, they had lost contact with their command center monts earlier.
Unease crept in as they decided to cautiously retreat and find alternate ans to deliver their report.
But...
They weren't the only ones with sensory abilities.
Ahead of them, Gensou's forces moved with precision. Among them, Gensou's lieutenant, Mio, turned her head toward the hidden reconnaissance team and remarked calmly,
"Four little mice are hiding over there."
Without needing further instructions, one of Gensou's warriors broke from the group. Making no effort to conceal his presence, he burst forward with a sonic boom, heading straight for the reconnaissance team.
"Run!"
Realizing they had been exposed, the reconnaissance team turned and fled at full speed.
But the sonic boom behind them grew louder and closer.
The Hyūga ninja at the rear stopped abruptly, his face resolute.
"You go ahead!"
Activating the Byakugan, he turned to face the approaching enemy, taking up the Gentle Fist stance.
"A Hyūga clan ninja?"
The Hagoromo warrior, noticing the Byakugan, wasted no ti and launched a direct, ferocious attack.
Within monts, the Hyūga ninja fell.
The Hagoromo warrior looked down at his fallen opponent, surprised.
"Has the Hyūga clan grown this weak?"
Noticing the faintly exposed Caged Bird Seal on the ninja's forehead, he sneered.
"That disgusting curse mark still exists after all these centuries? No wonder the Hyūga clan is in decline."
Disregarding the fallen shinobi, he flashed forward to pursue the remaining three.
Five minutes later, the warrior rejoined Hagoromo's main force.
On their way to their destination, Hagoromo's forces dealt with small Allied units along the way. Moving like seasoned veterans, they avoided causing major disturbances, heading straight for the Allied main base with sharp efficiency.
Even the usually scattered Akatsuki mbers in their ranks fell into line, following without protest.
It wasn't until they arrived at the Allied Shinobi Army's headquarters that their presence was noticed.
The Allied shinobi, in the midst of reorganizing their defenses, were caught completely off guard by the sudden arrival of Hagoromo's forces.
Before they could react, Hagoromo's warriors scattered, and the battle erupted instantly.
anwhile, on the Third Interception Force's front.
"Jinton: Genkai Hakuri no Jutsu!"
In the air, the Second and Third Tsuchikage combined their Dust Release techniques, sending two white translucent pillars of destruction hurtling toward Gensou.
Gensou's Rinnegan swept the battlefield calmly, taking in every detail.
Hashirama and Tsunade were charging at him from both sides.
The First Tsuchikage was using Doton: Doryūgaku to burrow underground, closing in on him.
The First Kazekage, Retto, was preparing a Wind Release technique to follow up the Dust Release.
The Second Kazekage, Samon, stood seemingly motionless in the distance—but it was only his puppet, with his real body hidden beneath the sand.
The First and Fourth Raikage had already activated their Lightning Release Chakra Modes, sealing off the area and waiting to strike.
anwhile, Tobirama and Minato stood on the periphery, seemingly observing but in reality marking every Kage with their Flying Thunder God seals, ready to unleash devastating attacks at a mont's notice.
And then there were the other Edo Tensei warriors—so familiar, so unfamiliar—already making their moves.
Gensou noted it all.
"This feels pretty good!"
Excitent flashed across Gensou's face.
Compared to his near-loss against the Great Toad Sage, the pressure at the start of this battle was even greater.
Thump! Thump!
His heart pounded powerfully in his chest.
Whoosh! Whoosh!
His blood and chakra surged, boiling with energy.
Gensou made no effort to suppress them.
Rolling his neck with a series of cracks, he grinned, his eyes locked on the incoming Dust Release.
The stronger his opponents, the more exhilarated he felt.
In the current ninja world, such enemies were rare.
But now, this coalition of legendary warriors provided him with a unique thrill.
"Let's asure the true strength of the ninja village era," Gensou's voice, brimming with interest, echoed across the battlefield.
As his words fell, the Dust Release descended, disintegrating everything in its path.
Gensou didn't absorb the Dust Release.
Noticing Hashirama and Tsunade's pincer attack, he decided to avoid a repeat of being slapped away by the Great Toad Sage.
In a flash, he appeared in front of the First Raikage, Ai.
Ai, reacting swiftly, launched a lightning-empowered punch at Gensou.
With a casual tap of his palm against Ai's fist, Gensou drained the Lightning Release Chakra, leaving Ai's aura dim.
Seizing Ai's arm, Gensou pulled him forward, his other hand gripping Ai's burly arm. Twisting his waist, Gensou hurled Ai toward the ground.
Boom!
A massive crater exploded in the earth.
Ai collided violently with the burrowing First Tsuchikage, Ishikawa, scattering the terrain.
For the first ti, the battlefield was filled with the familiar sound of Edo Tensei paper fragnts scattering.
