Ha Joon stood at the tip of the hill, his sight fixed on the city of Telver.
It had been a few hours since he ran into the man called Kuronashi, and since then, after knowing what the man's true goal was, Ha Joon had begun to act.
Deploying knights and soldiers to search the entire city.
"If they are going to do a summoning that grand, they would need a huge magic circle to follow up with it."
These were rlin's words to him.
Finding the magic circle beca the first priority of the soldiers and knights. Even if it ant searching day and night.
'Ciel.'
[Ciel appears before you.]
'Tell I'm on the right track here.'
[Ciel cannot determine for sure. The thod of summoning varies, and if wizards are involved, it further complicates the facts]
Ha Joon sighed.
'How strong was this Demon lord Barbados.'
[Would you prefer Ciel access the Knowledge of the gods?]
'Yes.'
[Accessing knowledge of the gods.]
[Knowledge acquired.]
[The demon of lord of Vanity, Barbatos was known to be the ruler of the demon city Laurel. He was known to be a blood thirsty leader, leading the demons he ruled over to slaughter and rebel against the other demon lords and Kingdoms.
His power was beyond comprehension, even rivaling higher gods. It took the effort of two continents and a legion of gods to finally take down the demon lord Barbatos.]
Reading the ssages on the screen, Ha Joon could finally understand why Kuronashi was confident about the summoning.
The demon lord was indeed a strong individual.
So far the only reason Ha Joon had been able to defeat gods so easily was because he had the skill (Knowledge of the gods.)
The sa can't be said for a demon- he was no god.
aning he would have to fight this being with pure strength, if the summoning is successful.
Ha Joon grinned.
'This is actually interesting... there's a being out there that was able to terrorise the world... haha.'
He swept his hair back, 'I can't afford to make a mistake.'
From nowhere, three individuals in red cloaks appeared behind Ha Joon, their heads bowed.
"Lord Ha Joon, it's an honour to et you again after so long."
Ha Joon turned around to look at them.
"Red Wings." He blurted out.
"We have co to deliver a ssage from Lady Ishtar."
"Oh? A ssage?"
"Yes, regarding the Demon lord of Vanity, Barbatos."
Ha Joon frowned a bit, hearing the na of soone who doesn't even exist in the world felt so annoying.
"What could that possibly be?" He asked.
"She said, 'you can't stop what is to co. The only way to put an end to it is to kill the demon lord. I know you are worried, he is a Powerful man, but you are equally as strong'."
One of the red cloaked individuals delivered.
Ha Joon stood quiet for a while
'Is she saying I should let the summoning happen? And fight the demon lord once he arrives? Even I know sothing like that is crazy. This is soone that shook the whole world.'
Ha Joon thought to himself.
But Ishtar would never say sothing she wasn't sure of. And for her to send her subjects to deliver the ssage, ant she was definitely serious about it, she doesn't care enough about the people that follow her to send them to do sothing like this.
"Honestly, what will this kingdom do without ." Ha Joon said with a sigh, allowing a smile to follow.
....
The puff of dust appeared, and out of it walked the very man Ha Joon was looking for.
Kuronashi.
Walking out of the mist, three other individuals were standing in front of him, as if already waiting for his arrival.
mbers of the Cult of Barbatos.
"Ah, I'm guessing there's news seeing as you were patient enough to wait for . Last Wizards of the world."
These were Kuronashi's words as he moved forward.
"Kuronashi... We have stationed the mbers to the key points, we are ready to proceed with the summoning."
One of the Wizards spoke.
"The artificact is within range."
"Let us activate the circle."
"Let the circle be activated."
"Circle..."
"Activate the circle...."
The wizards repeated.
Kuronashi gently settled on a rock, "Oh you wizards, so emotional and impatient."
He sighed, "Although...I never objected to you summoning."
"..."
"I specifically rember saying, feel free to summon the demon lord of Vanity anyti you feel like it."
"You do not object?" Another wizard questioned.
"You want the demon lord to arrive and save you, I want it to destroy Calot. We have different goals but the sa path. Why would I object?"
_silence..._
"You're a strange one Kuronashi, you are human and yet you side with us wizards."
Kuronashi smiled under his mask, "Let's just say, Love can be a powerful thing."
Hearing his response, however ridiculous it was, the wizards slightly bowed their heads. Kuronashi was the only reason they were able to get this far.
Everything they needed was ready.
mbers of the Cult of Barbatos were stationed at four different positions in the city. Each scattering the bodies is dead demi humans inside a huge circle drawn on the ground.
It wasn't just scattered, it was piles on piles.
Around the circles were the 4-7 mbers of the cult, their arms stretched forward as they began to chant strange words.
Intacantion.
Dark magic danced around them, sothing they were blessed with by the wizards.
anwhile, the three wizards remained at the sa spot, their eyes glowing as they each raised their staff to the sky.
/UHM OEAH KNW ONAJKA KAIJ/
\\INSONW KWOWN KAJALMW JAOWNAM\\
They chanted, and sohow everyone rhyd, repeating the sa words at the sa pace.
Ti passed and the magic circle that was on the floor began to glow, completely engulfing the dead beast people in its light.
Alas, it was ti to summon the great demon lord.
Soldiers were scattered all around the city, desperately looking for where the criminals of Calot could be, but it was to no avail.
Or so they thought -
"Well well well, what do we have here-"
Sinex spoke, holding a wooden bat and resting it on her shoulder as she moved towards one of the four positions, to see the group of people, chanting the spells.
She moved closer, standing right where she could see them all, her eyes observing both the people under the cloak and the piles of dead bodies in the glowing circle.
"My love was right, you people would be here," Sinex spoke again, her expression still calm.
The panic on the criminals face was evident. If they moved a muscle, they would risk ssing up the summoning circle.
That was why, even though they were shocked to see that soone found them, they didn't move a single inch from where they were.
Despite the questions repeating in their heads as they kept chanting.
How did this girl find us?
We used mana concealnt, how?
If she does anything, we see dood!
Sinex on the other hand, didn't seem to care too much about whatever face they were making.
"Uhmm, such snobs, ignoring a pretty girl. I'm standing right next to you, don't you want to even have a peak?"
She moved closer to one of the mbers, staring intensely at him, "Or could it be... You can't move or the spell will cancel."
'Shit shit shit! We need to get her off here!' one of the mbers said, his voice resonating inside the head of the others.
'i don't fucking know! Send a beast or sothing... shit!'
"Okay, let's try it!"
Sinex moved back a bit, her bat half way behind her for a swing.
'Eh?'
_bash!_
Her wooden bat smashed against his face. The criminal's blood spewed upon impact as his bones cracked.
Not just that, but several of his teeths had been nailed to the bat, leaving several windows open in his mouth.
The once evil smile that was hitched on Sinex's face faded when she noticed the man was still standing despite the direct hit he took.
"Oh now I see..." Sinex lowered her bat, "You guys are using top level defense magic. Kuku, how silly or to have forgotten you have a wizard on your side. My bad."
The man panicked, his expression mirroring the look on the rest of the mber.
Sure he was able to remain standing after getting bashed on the face. But the pain was still there, seen from the blood dripping from his nose.
How much pain could be possibly endure before he would drop to the ground?
Sinex arm suddendly turned into a giant rotating drill, magic sparking as she pointed it at the man's face...
"Let's check how well you can last... Say haaa...."
She began to pull her drill closer to his face.
It was now a matter of endurance. And Sinex wasn't the type of give up.
