Chapter 65: Demon God Descended
Under the full-scale search by Bureau 869 and the Ascension Alliance, it did not take long before Mo Fan’s location was locked onto the long-abandoned gallery by the river.
Almost at the sa ti, they mobilized their most elite troops and most advanced weapons, surrounding that dilapidated gallery so tightly that not even water could leak through.
The run-down gallery looked especially sinister in the darkness of night.
Dozens of military armored vehicles and special-purpose vehicles completely encircled the entire gallery.
Hundreds of fully ard special operations soldiers, holding the most advanced weapons, sealed off every exit of the gallery to the death.
And not far away, the rcenaries of the Ascension Alliance also arrived at the scene.
They were equally well-equipped, but they maintained a certain distance.
“Breaching team, in position!”
“Assault team, ready!”
“All units, be advised, prepare to breach!”
With Chen Mo’s order, the gallery’s main doors were instantly torn apart by a violent explosion!
Countless fragnts of stone and clouds of smoke and dust spread everywhere.
Imdiately after, fully ard special operations soldiers surged into the gallery like a tide.
However, inside the gallery, there was no resistance like they had imagined.
There was only a gaunt silhouette, kneeling before a massive painting that covered the entire floor.
Mo Fan’s body had already beco so emaciated that it was nothing but skin and bones. His hair was disheveled, and his face was sared with paint and blood.
His right hand was drenched in fresh blood!
This madman Mo Fan had actually been painting with his own blood!
This scene sent a chill down the spines of everyone present.
After finishing the final stroke, Mo Fan slowly turned his head.
On that face which no longer looked human, he revealed a bizarre yet satisfied smile toward the intruders.
“The sacrifice… is complete.”
“Welco…”
His voice was hoarse and low, “welco to greet… the arrival of the god…”
Then, before everyone’s eyes, Mo Fan’s body rapidly turned into flying ash and dissipated into the air.
【Radiance】 faction player 【Painter】 had been eliminated.
【Radiance】 faction fully eliminated.
Congratulations to the 【Shadow】 faction for achieving victory.
The cold system prompt sounded within the minds of all 【Shadow】 players.
……
The mont the 【Shadow】 players heard the prompt, they all let out long sighs of relief.
They had won.
They had survived.
However, before they could even begin to celebrate their victory or choose their rewards—
An indescribable terror, enough to make even souls tremble, suddenly rose from the hearts of everyone in Hai City!
At the very mont Mo Fan died.
That massive painting covering the entire floor began to emit a dark red glow that pulsed like a beating heart.
The lines on the canvas seed to co alive, twisting and writhing madly.
The terrifying Demon God within the painting, composed of countless images of pain, despair, and madness, slowly “stood up” from the two-dinsional canvas!
It broke free from the confines of the fra, carrying a chaotic aura of total annihilation, and descended upon the real world!
All the soldiers who had rushed into the gallery, at the instant they beheld the true form of the Demon God, had their brains overwheld by a torrent of information filled with malice and insanity.
Their eyeballs burst, blood poured from their seven orifices, and they let out shrill screams as their bodies lted like wax figures, rapidly turning into pools of writhing blood that rged into the constantly undulating black viscous sludge on the gallery floor.
A malicious psychic shockwave spread outward from the gallery, expanding across the entirety of Hai City.
At that mont, the sky over Hai City was dyed an eerie blood-red.
The river water began to boil. Countless fish and shrimp floated to the surface, instantly turning into bare white bones.
Throughout the city, all glass products shattered at the sa ti.
Countless citizens who had been sleeping suddenly awoke, then clutched their heads and let out agonized howls.
Panic, chaos, despair…
At that mont, they engulfed the entire city.
Hai City turned into a living hell on earth.
……
“Truly a fine piece of work.”
Yun Ge looked at the Demon God on the light screen, that entity ford of pure malice and madness, and a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
Although this Demon God bore not the slightest resemblance to his true form.
It perfectly embodied, in the eyes of those mortals, the kind of incomprehensible and irresistible absolute terror that “god” represented.
“Worthy of being the artist I personally selected.”
“This curtain call was truly spectacular.”
……
The descending Demon God was a terrifying existence that could not be described using human language.
It had no fixed form.
At tis, it was a twisted shadow that blotted out the sky, shrouding the entire city in suffocating darkness.
At tis, it was a congloration of countless wailing flesh tentacles, each tentacle entwined with innurable suffering souls.
At tis, it transford into countless crimson eyes, spread across the sky and the land, and even within every person’s heart.
Physical laws were wantonly rewritten within its domain.
With a casual gesture, it “erased” a skyscraper over thirty stories tall—not destroyed, but erased in the truest sense of the word!
As if it had never existed, the building abruptly vanished from the city, leaving behind only a massive void.
On the roads, vehicles suddenly disintegrated into heaps of scrap tal. Countless citizens were stretched and twisted by an invisible force amid screams, ultimately turning into pools of indescribable minced flesh.
“Monster! It’s a monster!”
“Help! Soone save !”
“Mom… Mom…”
Desperate cries, agonized wails, and the screams before death rged into the final lant of this city.
……
“Report imdiately to the Capital! Request support!”
Inside the command center, Chen Mo stared at the apocalyptic scene on the screens, his eyes splitting with rage as he issued orders in a hoarse voice.
“Hai City is under attack by an unknown transcendent organism! Repeat! Hai City is under attack by an unknown transcendent organism!”
“Request highest-level authorization! Request… strategic-grade weapon support!”
“All units! Imdiately organize civilian evacuation! Spare no cost!”
However, before absolute terror, his orders seed utterly pale and powerless.
Those special operations soldiers who had just been besieging the gallery were reduced to pools of blood the instant the Demon God descended.
The rcenaries of the Ascension Alliance fared no better. They did not even have ti to scream before they, along with their equipnt, were crushed into clouds of blood mist by an invisible force.
……
The command center of Bureau 869 fell into deathly silence.
Chen Mo sat stiffly in his chair, staring blankly at the doomsday scene before him.
It was not that he had never encountered transcendent incidents.
But everything before his eyes had already exceeded all of his knowledge and imagination.
“Director! Director!”
Fear was written all over the communicator’s face, yet he still dutifully reported, “An ergency transmission… from the Capital! Highest-level encryption!”
Chen Mo jolted awake. He hurried to the communications console and put on the headset.
“This is Bureau 869 Hai City Branch, this is Chen Mo!”
A heavy and authoritative voice ca through the headset: “Chen Mo, what happened in Hai City?! Report the situation!”
“Reporting to the Commander, Hai City… Hai City has been invaded by an unknown transcendent entity!”
Chen Mo’s voice trembled slightly. “It… it exceeds all of our understanding. We are unable to resist it!”
