Chapter 168: Able to Fight Alongside You, This Is My Honor

This was the radiance of ten million suns flaring at the sa instant.

It was also the most extre explosion and the most blazing bloom among all possible outcos within the observable universe.

Even though the "Supernova Explosion" before their eyes was rely a simulation created by Sisel using his legendary-tier spiritual power—an illusory construct born of the soul—

Once the landscape of the Spiritual World was projected into reality, its power, though reduced by trillions of tis compared to a real star, was still enough to shake mountains and seas.

In this twisted fate, ti continued accelerating. The already incomparably complex Life Rings spun in endless cycles, constantly engraving layer upon layer of temporal imprints.

Within that ntal Image World nurtured by imagination—

Processes that would normally require millions or tens of millions of years to complete were compressed into re dozens of seconds, or even completed within just a few breaths.

Then, it exploded.

In that instant, the entire dark sky was lit up like bright daylight.

Noah’s expression finally changed.

And not only his—in the distant depths of the ocean, a massive black dragon also let out a deafening roar.

Wings forged of black scales stretched wide, blotting out the sun. Each movent of those wings sent thousands of tons of seawater skyward, stirring up a tempest...

Above the sky, a crimson river ford of blood and bone also fled in that instant. It was the domain of the Iron Cross King at legendary-tier, ford from the countless flesh and blood it had devoured—a Kingdom of Flesh and Blood.

Though no one understood how exactly Sisel, within that Corona, accomplished all this, in that mont, the instinct for self-preservation in these legendary beings finally triumphed over their bloodthirsty nature... They all began to flee into the distance.

However, at this current point in ti—

Whether escape or defense... all of it was already too late.

Using the stellar core of pure iron as its origin, the once-suppressed Corona lost all restraints and was suddenly unleashed, expanding outward.

Within just a few breaths, that illusory corona expanded to thousands of tis its original volu—and was still growing.

All the matter composing that star was cast outward in the explosion—

Following iron, whether gold, silver, platinum, or chromium... all heavy tal elents were born in this glorious bloom and scattered across the world, forming the foundation of the Material Plane.

Freed from all constraints, the star expanded limitlessly. Though Sisel’s Solar Domain was initially only a few ters tall, at the mont of explosion it swelled as if it were a true mountain, suspended above the dark sea’s surface, symbolizing the clash between land and ocean.

The surging, radiant corona churned a torrent of Brilliance, generating countless whirlpools and engulfing towering ancient trees, the howling black dragon, and the Kingdom of Flesh and Blood of the Iron Cross King.

In the instantly vaporized seawater, every molecule composing the black dragon and the Iron Cross King was exposed to the scorching impact. These towering legendary beings let out wretched screams in response.

Divine factors surged from their bodies, attempting to resist the all-devouring stellar corona.

But it was futile.

This was the final song of a supergiant star—known as the most intense explosion ever recorded in the universe.

In the face of such a brilliant celestial body—

Whether the black dragon whose wings covered the sky, or the king of the Iron Cross... these mythic beings who once reigned supre in the Age of Gods, worshiped as totems by early human tribes, now seed as insignificant as ants.

They could not even withstand a single breath... before the tsunami of Brilliance incinerated everything.

Whether it was the pitch-black Ancient Dragon or the king of the Iron Cross, their movents were frozen in the brilliance.

The supernova explosion had long since turned the area into a vacuum, so the majestic forms of these legendary beings did not burn violently but glowed crimson, like ignited coal.

In the next mont, the vacuum collapsed. The imnse pressure difference triggered a torrential storm, and the massive forms of the black dragon and the Iron Cross King were torn into fragnts, which sublimated into snow-white ash upon touching the flowing Brilliance.

Behind that radiant river, a pale belt of dust ford, drifting toward the pitch-black sea like scattered bone ash.

...

Rast simply leaned back on the rocky shore, watching that blazing sun suddenly ascend in the distant sea.

It was a supernova explosion manifested from a ntal Image and ultimately projected into reality. Such a magnificent scene was still clearly visible from several kiloters away, as if the sunrise had arrived seven hours early—turning night into day.

And re seconds after that radiance materialized—

The delayed shockwave arrived at the fractured coastline paved with jagged reefs.

It scattered the dark clouds, bent the mountains and forests, shook the earth, and swept through everything.

The howling chaotic wind swept in, causing Rast's black hair to whip and flutter, yet he remained completely unmoved.

He rely raised his head slightly to gaze into the distance, an enigmatic glint swirling within his eyes.

【The Tower · Navigator: Second-tier ability of the Tower Sequence. Your eyes can pierce through fog and darkness, and you shall never lose your way, even within the deepest reaches of the Lightless Sea.】

This was the ability he had unlocked back in Frozenwater Town when he advanced to the second tier.

And now, Rast was using this inherent skill of the Tower Sequence to silently hold his breath and peer through the darkness and fog of the Lightless Sea, witnessing all that was unfolding upon the battlefield.

He was not the type who liked to exaggerate or embellish his words. The endless cycle of Deep Blue Port had long since made Rast accustod to all the joys and sorrows, all the partings and reunions of the world. It allowed him to maintain an unshaken heart in the face of anything.

Yet what Rast now personally witnessed through his own eyes in this "Battle of the Fractured Coastline" still exceeded the bounds of his past understanding—worthy of being described as shocking.

In a world so ignorant and unenlightened, where all foundational science and applied technologies had long stagnated in the steam age, where the inheritance of knowledge and civilization had all but collapsed and was fated to decline even further...

Sisel, isolated and without aid, relied solely on his own spiritual power to deduce and compute, using centuries of ti to analyze the laws behind stellar composition and construct a solar model within his ntal Image World...

Within his Spiritual World, every physical law that constituted a star, every elental factor, every kind of atom and nuclear decay had all been ticulously and completely mastered.

Only through this could Sisel sustain the long-term existence of a truly simulated star in his ntal Image, and even manifest as reality the theoretical possibility of a "Supernova Explosion"—sothing he had never witnessed himself, that existed only in modeled projections.

From the steam age to the atomic era… in Rast’s previous life, this was a monuntal leap spanning several generations—a result achieved through the combined effort of thousands of scholars and billions of humans over hundreds of years.

But now, Sisel had completed this era-defining transition with the power of a single individual.

The truth embedded within—this elevation of fundantal knowledge forged by Sisel alone that far surpassed the foundation of the current era—was far more astonishing than how many legendary beings he had slain in this battle. So unbelievable, that even Rast struggled to trust his own eyes.

But the truth was before him, regardless of belief.

Those who have yet to reach the peak can never imagine the view from the summit.

Indeed, most scientific research and invention are constrained by the era and environnt. For instance, the Mayan civilization, lacking shallow copper mines in Latin Arica, developed other scholarly and cultural fields to brilliant heights, yet remained in the Stone Age until their demise—never reaching the Bronze or Iron Ages.

But throughout the long river of history, there would always be peerless exceptions—those who shattered the shackles and constraints of their ti and environnt, becoming pioneers of human civilization, turning points in history.

This was a great feat—of re humanity touching the realm of gods… a once-in-eternity variable born from the passage of long years, sothing that could only be described as a "miracle."

And it was precisely such small "variables," the accumulation of one unremarkable "miracle" after another, that built the tower grain by grain… allowing humanity, in defiance of the laws of developnt, to rise during the Age of Gods, overthrow the dominion of mythic beings, and beco the new masters of this land.

Such Brilliance, unmatched through all ti, would still shine eternally in the long river of history, even millions of years later.

Rast slowly closed his eyes, feeling the sea breeze brush against his face.

No wonder, when he had described scenes of the future world, Sisel never questioned the truth of his words, never even showed doubt, but directly took them as truth… because those were already the scenes Sisel had envisioned ti and again within his ntal Image World, derived from scientific laws and principles he had deduced through the years.

And that relieved smile Sisel had shown then was not from yearning for the future described by Rast, but the smile of soone whose research had been validated by a ti traveler—proof that his efforts had not been in vain.

No wonder, Sisel had chosen his successor early, entrusting everything to Grey.

For within that fireseed was not just the power of the Night Blade "The Fool’s Library," but also the physical laws and foundational scientific conclusions deduced by Sisel through his spiritual power over a long life—scientific foundations sufficient to enable humanity’s leap from the "steam age" to the "atomic era."

He knew that in this turbulent and chaotic Sixth Era, where even basic safety was not guaranteed, there was no fertile soil in which such cross-era scientific achievents could take root… just like how even the greatest physicist is powerless when there is not enough food to eat.

So, Sisel chose to entrust all he had researched in his lifeti… to Grey, and to the people of the future.

Then, he would clear the path for the generations to co, giving them a land where such foundational scientific breakthroughs could take root—a truly clear and open sky.

Fragnts of the past surfaced one by one and finally ca together at this mont, letting Rast understand the true aning behind what Sisel had said when they parted—

"Use one’s body to pave the road for those who co after."

It was not simply about using individual martial might to shelter humanity or slay powerful Forbidden Creatures and invading legendary beings.

No matter how mighty one person may be, no matter how wondrous the Night Blade "The Fool’s Library" may be, it could only affect a single individual—and could never bring about lasting change for all of human civilization.

No matter how brilliant, how powerful for a ti—once that strong individual perished, the entire civilization would fall alongside them…

Just like the mythic races that once flourished during the Age of Gods—once lofty and dwelling among the clouds, but when the tide of mystery receded, and even their own divine protectors could no longer shield themselves, these mythic beings fell into the dust in an instant.

But Sisel was fundantally different from those tribal leaders who relied solely on personal might to shelter their kind.

What he left behind for future generations was a treasure called "knowledge"—a resource that would never run dry.

And a vast, infinite, unshackled, truly free world.

In the chaotic blowing wind, a trace of pale smoke and dust was carried through the air—it was the ash left behind after the black-dragon and the Iron Cross King were incinerated by the blazing sun, drifting on the wind.

And Rast simply reached out his hand amidst the sea breeze, feeling the pale ash dissolve at his fingertips, leaving not a single trace.

He suddenly recalled that afternoon many years ago, back when the Royal City of Paradise still existed, when the Shadow Maid Sister bid him farewell.

"Captain, it was my honor to fight alongside you."

That was the last thing the Shadow Maid Sister had said to Rast. Not long after, she died in the Royal Palace of Paradise—now reduced to ashes—killed by Noah while shielding Grey.

And this mont, was just like that one.

"It was my honor to fight alongside you as well."

"Leader Sisel."

Rast's words drifted amidst the chaotic wind, unheard by anyone.
