Vulture didn't speak; he just looked at John and let out a cold laugh.

"Daring to make a move in my territory, do you really have so little regard for ?"

John slightly raised an eyebrow, as if he had just heard a particularly amusing joke.

"Sorry, but it seems I really haven't considered you important at all."

Isn't that obvious already?

It's clear that I don't take you seriously—what's the big deal?

Silver Tear subtly turned her head to suppress a smile at her lips.

If the situation hadn't been so grave, she might have burst out laughing; John was being outrageously bold.

It was as if he had taken the concept of being defiantly confident and slapped it right in the face of everyone else.

John simply flicked the knife in his hand, twirling it expertly, then quietly watched the person opposite him.

"I do have a bit of a temper, no big deal—I just enjoy killing a couple of people for fun now and then. If you really don't want to talk, I won't force you."

His words might sound understanding, but it would be even better if you'd put that knife down.

"What are you, daring to talk to our boss like that?"

A platinum-tier awakener beside him looked disdainfully at John.

If John were an apocalyptic-tier warrior, they might be more cautious, but he was just a platinum-tier awakener.

What's there to be arrogant about? It's just a matter of having one skill.

John gave him a fleeting glance.

In an instant, the man involuntarily shivered.

His gaze was terrifying; even a re look had once been enough to make his hands tremble.

What was this man's background?

Why did he possess such a deadly stare?

John ignored him and simply continued to watch Vulture quietly.

The knife in his hand swayed gently, the Dragonblood Stone casting brilliant sparks under the light.

Vulture watched the blade greedily.

He had known it was a divine artifact, but witnessing its power in action still made it hard to resist.

"You don't really think you can co here and then just escape, do you?"

Vulture chuckled coldly, then pressed a button.

Suddenly, the living room of the airship transford, as tallic walls rose up, encasing John and his companions inside.

Victor was still unconscious at this mont, but the others did not take their situation lightly, instead, they were enclosed together.

John could tell these people were very cautious about him.

Yet, these tal barriers, while perhaps effective against ordinary people, posed no real restriction for them.

John lightly tapped the cage in front of him with his knife.

"Do you think this thing can hold us?"

Vulture let out a cold laugh.

"If it were just this cage, of course, it couldn't hold you. But..."

Vulture's lips curved slightly upwards, and he produced a staff in his hand.

With a gentle tap on the table in front of him, the iron cage surrounding them instantly crackled with electricity.

John had not withdrawn his hand in ti and a large patch of his skin turned red, even emitting a burnt sll.

Had John not been a platinum-tier awakener, that shock might have cost him half his life.

He glanced at his health bar; a re accidental touch had already cost him 10000 HP.

Interesting.

It seed that a thunder-based spell had been applied directly to the cage.

As they approached, the electricity would cover them instantly.

It was this thod of handling that deterred many from coming close, and the cages were gradually shrinking.

Fear cos from the unknown.

As the cages continued to shrink, they began to speculate about what other thods the mastermind behind this might employ.

If another situation were to arise then, it would be a different story.

John looked at the cage in front of him and then raised his Bloodthirsty Blade, chopping down forcefully.

The Bloodthirsty Blade was always able to slice through tal like mud, but as it struck the cage, John felt his hand go numb from the vibration.

The electricity also traveled up the Bloodthirsty Blade, and if John hadn't dodged in ti, he might have been electrocuted again.

After all, the intense current contained extrely high heat, a temperature surely unbearable for the flesh.

Vulture, seeing John's reaction, smirked with satisfaction but also with a hint of mockery.

"Really? The tough guy from before can't handle a little bit of electricity?"

His tone was full of jest.

Silver Tear glanced at John and then said nothing, simply placing her hand into the void.

Instantly, the temperature in the void dropped several degrees.

So of the underlings shivered uncontrollably, looking puzzled at their wind-based system.

Usually, it worked without a hitch, so why had the temperature suddenly dropped so dramatically?

What was going on?

Soon, they noticed small ice particles forming in the air.

Vulture's expression turned serious; he knew this was the woman's signature move.

But was this woman crazy?

She must know that once ice turns into water, it conducts electricity.

His thunder-based spell would only thrive in such conditions.

Wait!

Conductivity!

Vulture's eyes widened in alarm, but it was too late to stop it.

The next second, the ice particles in the air turned into water droplets, falling directly onto the floor.

Then, the droplets instantly directed the electrical arcs onto them!

The underlings didn't even have ti to react before they were struck by electricity, foaming at the mouth and convulsing on the ground.

Vulture, however, was immune to the shocks due to his thunder-based nature.

But the scene looked particularly ridiculous; their own ability had backfired, causing them the most damage.

At this mont, Silver Tear's lips curled into an amused smile.

"Really? The mighty man from before can't handle a little bit of electricity?"

She echoed his earlier taunt back at him, causing Vulture's face to turn a livid shade of blue.

"You... you really have so nerve! To act so boldly in my place!"

Vulture was shaking with fury, his eyes almost bleeding as he stared at John and the others.

"Weren't you the one who invited us over? Why get so angry now?"

Silver Tear watched him with a hint of amusent, "Sorry, I might be a bit older, but I still have my uses."

John's expression turned peculiar upon hearing Silver Tear's words.

He had guessed by now that Silver Tear was still holding a grudge over the remarks made earlier.

Indeed, sotis won do hold grudges, especially concerning age.

John lightly tapped the iron cage in front of him with his knife.

"Are you going to open this thing yourself, or shall we take care of it?"

"I'll say it again, I have a bad temper, and if I have to get out myself, it won't be so simple."

Vulture watched his underlings foaming at the mouth on the ground, his teeth chattering with fury, yet he dared not utter another word!

Because he had truly seen the strength of these people.

"Die, all of you!"

Vulture, without any hesitation, raised the staff in his hands high.

Countless bolts of lightning flickered continuously in the air, casting brilliant flashes of light.

The crackling electricity exploded around them, striking fear into the hearts of onlookers.

Electric currents blasted onto the iron cage, yet John and his companions remained calm and composed, seemingly unaffected.
