The two n clenched their teeth, but the next mont, they could feel blood seeping between them.

This feeling was incredibly uncomfortable; they felt utterly subdued.

But the truth was just as stark—they each had a clear understanding of their own strengths, and it was obvious now that they simply could not overpower this woman if it ca down to a fight.

Scarlett glanced at them lightly.

"Speak, what exactly are you thinking? What plans do you have?"

Initially, the two wanted to hold out a bit longer, but seeing Scarlett's gaze, they were forced to speak.

"We had previously acquired a piece of a secret realm fragnt, which seems to be connected to the Godson of the Immortality Organization."

"The resources within this fragnt are not plentiful, and it carries a malevolent force. Everyone we've sent into it has never returned alive; it's extrely dangerous, so we arranged for Vulture to handle it."

Scarlett imdiately understood what was going on.

They likely knew about the dangers contained within the secret realm fragnt and wanted to use it to kill John.

In an instant, the surrounding atmosphere turned turbulent, and the air beca ominously chilling.

Uncontrollably, everyone was pushed back several steps, only stopping when they hit the walls behind them, preventing them from being blown further away.

Aside from terror, shock was also evident in their hearts.

Why?

Why was this woman so powerful?

Why had she exceeded their imaginations to such an extent?

What was happening?

The world had beco sothing beyond their comprehension.

They had thought they could intimidate this woman, but unexpectedly, they were the ones being threatened now.

More critically, they found themselves utterly incapable of any resistance.

"Interesting, you aren't afraid of soone coming after you later?"

Francis's lips were bloodied, yet he still managed a strained smile.

"He t with trouble on his way, what does that have to do with us?"

"It's a Space Pirate who moved against him, not us."

The reason they dared to do this was precisely because of such reasoning.

Even if problems arose later, it would be an issue for the Space Pirates, not them.

They only needed to share in the spoils of war, nothing else mattered.

"Interesting," Scarlett's eyes narrowed slightly, masking her true emotions.

Just when the two n thought their end was certain, the next mont, they felt as if the massive weight on them had been lifted.

The two shared a look, a relief evident in their eyes, each seeing an unusual glimr in the other.

Had they been saved?

Did Scarlett decide to spare them, or...

Scarlett sat cross-legged, covering her mouth, and gently yawned, appearing extrely weary.

"I thought you might have so other tricks up your sleeves, was hoping to see sothing entertaining. But it turns out that's not the case, truly uninteresting."

"Since you've already made your move, just go ahead then."

Scarlett's indifferent deanor left others sowhat perplexed.

What did she an by this?

Did she want them to act or not?

If she truly didn't care, then why did she initially display such a terrifying deanor, even knocking them to the ground?

Yet, if she did care, what was the purpose of her seemingly nonchalant attitude now?

Both n were left with a question in their minds, but at this mont, they dared not say anything further, just forcibly holding themselves back.

"Really boring, let's head back," Scarlett said, and then lightly tapped the armrest of her chair with her finger.

Respectfully, her attendants then carried her onto the spaceship.

The path was strewn with flowers, looking incredibly vibrant and eye-catching.

Everyone watched her retreating figure, feeling a complex mix of emotions.

On the surface, Scarlett seed as carefree as ever, but once inside the spaceship, she suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

The maids around her were shocked and quickly rushed to support her.

"Saintess, what's wrong with you?"

Scarlett's complexion was deathly pale, a stark contrast to her previous nonchalance and composure.

Now, a trace of blood trickled from the corner of her mouth, as if she might faint at any second.

Scarlett shook her head, trying to calm herself.

She had exhausted the last vestiges of divine power within her body to subdue those two n.

Previously, when the Dawn Goddess was not fully dormant, recovery would have been rely a matter of ti. Read latest stories on empire

But now, with the Dawn Goddess in deep slumber, a quick recovery was nothing short of a dream.

If she were to regain her strength, it would require a plethora of rare and precious resources.

That issue was manageable; it would just require sending people to find what was needed.

However, the greater concern was when the Dawn Goddess would fully awaken.

Replenishing divine power would prove much more difficult.

Reporting back to the High Priest might be problematic.

Scarlett closed her eyes and took a deep breath, wanting to say sothing, but found herself unable to speak.

The others understood the gravity of the situation and did not dare to conceal anything.

They provided the best dical care to preserve Scarlett's life before swiftly leaving the area.

The place was simply too dangerous, and nobody knew what might happen next.

The saintess was their Dawn Sect's hope.

Even if it ant their lives, they were resolved to ensure her safety.

On the dock, Francis and Benjamin exchanged glances, seeing both ambition and a hint of relief in each other's eyes.

They were imnsely relieved that they hadn't acted rashly earlier.

Otherwise, it could have been them facing death.

"But why did that woman let us go?"

Benjamin wiped the blood from his mouth, his expression ugly.

Having been in this place for so many years, this was the first ti they had been so brutally humiliated.

Yet, they couldn't utter a word in response and could only present their faces for more slaps.

The kind of oppressive force they had felt was sothing they had never even seen from Vincent Morgan.

It was as if they had been struck by a force from another dinsion, an experience they found particularly loathso.

Always high and mighty, now they were reduced to kneeling on the ground, at the rcy of another.

How could they possibly accept such a fall from grace?

Francis sneered, looking in the direction of the departing spaceship.

"Do you think that woman has any real power? She had just been through a major battle; she likely had no strength left to fight us."

At first, Benjamin was puzzled, but hearing Francis's explanation, he began to understand.

It was likely that the woman was rely bluffing, and they had been completely deceived, with no room to maneuver.

Benjamin could no longer maintain his usual smile.

He looked as if he had swallowed a fly, disgusted and nauseated.

"Still, John is definitely not going to survive."

Thinking this, the two felt a slight relief.

At least this ti, their efforts weren't entirely fruitless.

However, what they didn't know was that John had been enveloped in an abyss of nothingness.

Soon after, the entire spaceship was completely sucked into a black hole.

They felt as if they were falling into a spatial black hole, the dizzying sensation completely engulfing them.

John instinctively tried to resist the dizziness, but his consciousness was quickly obliterated.

If soone else had been there, they would have noticed the black mist in the air, absorbing them before drifting off into the vast cosmos, turning into a cluster of shimring fragnts.
