Ling Family Domain, Forbidden Zone

"Didn't expect to see you so soon." Tian Shen sat on a luxurious chair and took a sip of tea.

His gaze was indifferent as it rested upon the old man before him—a man with long white hair and a beard. Although he wore plain clothes and emitted no aura, one should never judge a book by its cover.

This old man was one of the most ancient ancestors of the Ling Family, an existence whose power had surpassed the Immortal Emperor Realm.

"Hahaha, I also didn't expect such a monster to be born in the Tian Family." Ling Weitian glanced at his handso descendant.

Tian Shen's appearance reminded him of his own youth, the days when he and his brothers fought for hegemony over the Immortal Emperor's throne.

The days when he pursued pleasure and entertainnt, when his charming looks could captivate countless won.

But all of that was in the past. Now, he was a multi-billion-year-old old man, and the battlefield belonged to the younger generation.

"I'll take that as a complint." Tian Shen took another sip and smiled.

"What did you want to see for?"

"Kid, you've caused quite the commotion in the past few months. Not to ntion, you've even beco a target of the Immortal Court. That's not sothing just anyone can achieve." Ling Weitian laughed even more.

"Now that you've added even the Immortal Fairy Palace and the Yun Family to your list of enemies, I'm sure you've broken records in the history of the Lower Verse."

"They're just a bunch of noisy insects, nothing worth paying attention to." Tian Shen lazily replied, placing his cup on the wooden table before him.

His gaze then shifted to the breathtaking sight of the aurora and waterfalls before him.

"Noisy insects? You might be the only person in this vast existence who dares call them that." As the Ancient Ancestor of the Ling Family, Ling Weitian didn't know whether to laugh or cry at this mont.

Noisy insects?

Who else would dare refer to the Immortal Court, the Wang Family, the Sky Phoenix Tribe, the Thousand Realms Treasure House, the Immortal Fairy Palace, and the Yun Family as re insects?

Even he, soone who had surpassed the Immortal Emperor Realm, would not be so bold.

The forces they were speaking of weren't just insignificant nas. It would not be an exaggeration to call them the current ruling powers of the Lower Verse.

"Aren't they? They're just a bunch of cowards. They don't even have the guts to confront the Forbidden Lands, and in the end, the Grand Elder of the Immortal Academy has to step in to save them." Tian Shen scoffed in disdain.

To him, they truly weren't any different from insects.

Even the Heavenly Dao itself was rely a slightly more amusing insect in his eyes.

"Sigh You're not wrong, but you shouldn't underestimate them, especially the Immortal Court." Ling Weitian sighed and warned.

Tian Shen said nothing. He naturally understood why this old man feared the Immortal Court—to be precise, he feared the weapon in their possession.

"The Immortal Court is ancient. Their existence can be traced back to the earliest eras of history. Of course, the Tian Family and the Immortal Fairy Palace are just as old."

"But do you know why the Immortal Court can be so domineering and powerful, while the Tian Family and even the Immortal Fairy Palace are forced to remain low-key and hide their true strength?" A glint of wisdom shone in Ling Weitian's eyes as he asked.

Tian Shen remained silent. Of course, he already knew the answer. But he couldn't exactly tell this old man that he was aware of secrets dating back billions of years, could he?

"Well, everything traces back to tens of billions of years ago, to an era known as the Hegemony of Heaven." The old man assud Tian Shen was unaware and naturally began his explanation.

"During that era, the Heavenly Dao decided to choose a ruler—or rather, an organization—to maintain security and balance within the Lower Verse. Thus, the concept of the Destiny of Sovereignty was created."

"Any force or orthodoxy qualified to compete for this destiny would have the chance to beco the absolute ruler of the Lower Verse. They would also receive imnse benefits, such as protection from the Heavenly Dao and the removal of nurous restrictions."

"The conditions were simple. All qualified forces could fight for this destiny, and the strongest would erge victorious."

"The Tian Family, the Primordial Protoss, the Immortal Fairy Palace, and a clan known as the Heaven Clan were the primary contenders for this destiny." Ling Weitian paused, allowing Tian Shen to digest the information.

Then, he gazed at the sky—more precisely, his vision penetrated endless space-ti and fell upon the River of Ti that flowed throughout the Lower Verse.

"It's unclear what exactly happened back then, but the final victor was the Heaven Clan. Many believe the Heaven Clan was descended from the Heavenly Dao itself, which is why it helped them."

"But in the end, they were the ones who won. They claid the destiny and established the Immortal Court, while many restrictions were lifted from them."

"One example of these restrictions pertains to powerhouses beyond the Immortal Emperor Realm. The Heavenly Dao is extrely strict about allowing such beings to remain in the Lower Verse, permitting only a select few while imposing nurous limitations on them."

"But on the Immortal Court? No restrictions were placed on them at all. In fact, they were even granted additional benefits."

"That said, balance still had to be maintained. The Heavenly Dao exists based on balance and cannot afford to disrupt it."

"Thus, alternative paths were provided for other top-tier forces… but none of that really matters." Ling Weitian sighed, and a hint of horror flickered in his eyes as he recalled that dreadful weapon.

"The true source of the Immortal Court's power has never been its superior forces. Rather, it is the weapon they possess, a weapon forged using the Destiny of Sovereignty itself."

"The Heaven-Destroying Spear, a weapon that can annihilate everything—whether it be the Heavenly Realms, the River of Ti, or even the River of Fate."

"That spear can even erase reality itself. Anything that exists within this Lower Verse can be obliterated by it."

"So that spear is what makes them invincible, huh?" Tian Shen sneered as he cast a glance toward the so-called Heaven-Destroying Spear.

"Indeed. The main reason why the other top forces don't dare make too much noise or insult the Immortal Court is precisely because of that spear." Ling Weitian said.

"Of course, the spear does have its limitations as well." He then made sure to add.
