Chapter 388: Chapter 388- Festival 119- Raid on a Rainy Night 58

In the beat of the Battle area, death had beco common ground. Washed away by the ever-crying clouds, shrouding its ichor of blackness over the Academy.

Explosions thundered like firecrackers.

Flas busted out in a beam of hot, fiery, misfortune. Scorching the earth with anyone sorry enough to get in its way.

Water trailed the air, tentacles of doom. Replenished from the pond that stood behind them.

It twirled like serpents in the air, reaching for the heads of the Robed figures. Pulling it. Grabbing it. Choking it, and better still, Drowning it.

Every attempt to get the other to surrender or help them evades them from their eluded principles.

The ground shattered with the force of blows and swords. Splits and cracks crawl down the earth like seizures.

Earth’s crying transford in its rawest forms. A protest of the earth against the thundering feet above it.

Spears and arrows, darts of liberation, pierced the bodies of those too slow to see, while blades whistled through the air with a sharp sting.

Slicing flesh, or slamming against the blade of an equally powerful fighter.

Rocks floated into the air. Combined from tiny stones to rocks into a mass of earth.

Shadow lay underneath like a tapestry of doom. Grabbing the attention of students and rebels alike as they looked up at the sight.

Bits and chunks of stones fell apart like the rain. Dripping with conundrum until the mass descended with spectacular force and speed.

The result? An explosion of the earth as Students scattered to evade the falling Bombs.

Alia’s head tilted slightly at it from the forefront of the Brutal clash.

Luke and Quirin make a ss of a Robed figure with easy stride and quick reflexes.

Lightning stread through the air. A crackle of intensity awakens a deep slumber as it brimd with an ambient intent.

It stroked from Quirin’s staff down to the Robed figure and struck him with the precision of a snipper.

The man scread in pain as his body erupted in a storm of lightning bolts. Thin as a straight light, yet a thousand of it with destructive tendency did enough damage to make up for it.

His arms reached for his head and he grabbed it. Pressing his hands on it slightly while he groaned from the pain.

“Aar—”

Cut off by the sound of his own voice, he whipped his head towards Quirin.

Teeth bared as he glared at him. Just before Luke swept in in a spiral. Double blades danced like a circus clown and sliced his neck clean.

Blood erupted from the stump in a fountain of crimson. A spray paint that splashed over the earth.

Before his body fell limp to the ground.

A thud followed and rolled to his feet. Luke stopped it with a subtle nudge of his foot and turned round while the sound of footsteps echoed.

Behind him, three more Robed figures ca rushing at them.

Expressions riddled with rage and bloodlust. They catapulted through the air. Unresponsive to the term called gravity the distance between them closed within a second.

Luke raised his arm up for impact when a tendril of water whipped through the air and grabbed onto the neck of one.

In a startled and abrupt stop, he was yanked through the air and slamd against the ground in a painful pop!

Alia rushed past him in a second, her body enveloped in mana as her shoulder bashed through the second.

Her hamr tore through the air before slamming the man’s scalp with a thunderous force.

The man reeled in pain, blood splurging out from the tip of his skull before being thrown away from the force of the bash.

The last was simply pulled to an abrupt stop by Mayo’s gargantuan armour.

He held onto his right foot and with casual ease, yet surmountable force, he pulled him across the air, passed his head and down to the ground with a ridiculous drop.

Bones snapped like a twig, a muffled scream escaping his lips. The Robed figure suddenly swung his longsword through the air and slamd it against the side of Mayo, a trembling force ripping through his body as he was sent away with a blast of energy in concentric waves.

Luke ca fluidly in the mix, making a tight curve around Mayo’s body while the latter was thrown in the air. In a blur, he closed the distance and aid his blade for the heart.

The Robbed figure spun around and jumped to his feet when he heard a cackling sound behind him. Like the air was being ripped.

Whipping his head in the direction, his jaws clenched.

“You’re outnumbered and outclassed.” Quirin’s voice ca as a shrill crisp with the ball of lightning that enlarged with the ticking of ti in the mont.

The Robed figure groaned, side-stepped by a long margin to evade the attack when his peripheral caught a shift. A slight movent. And his pupils dilated in shock.

He bit down hard, and spun around, twirling horizontally in the air while his face slowly turned down to get a whiff of the source of the movent.

Beneath him was Luke. His arms stretched to the sides as his twin broadswords made way for his torso.

A smug ford across his face.

“You should be glad.” He continued. “Not many students are capable of stopping their ntally ill Lecturers.”

The man’s sword ca like lightning, and his words left his ear just as quickly. Fast and precise, and aid for the head. While Luke simply forced his body to the side, a pained grunt escaped his lips as the sword made a slit through the air, right past the side of his cheek.

“Expert Skill; Lightning Volt.”

A fresh sting ford and blood oozed down when the air cracked and the ball of lightning zood at him at an abrupt speed.

The Robed figure cursed as his head darted back. It was too late.

The ball of lighting struck him in an instant, the force pulling his body with the direction of the projectile as it crashed into the ground with a deafening boom!

Luke quickly stood to his feet, a heavy sigh escaping his lips as he turned to Quirin.

His yellow eyes cast a long look at Luke as well before turning away while his staff hung loosely on the ground.

His attention shifted to the battlefield.

There, he could see Alia and two other of their classmates take care of one of the Lecturers who had co storming.

As well as Momo Rikiti. A Level 65 Water Mage, and the strongest System User in Class Two Gold.

She floated in the air with a silence wrapped around one. A subtle one that left no cracks. Only bloodlust.

Surrounding her were the tendrils of water that continued to flow from the Pond. The tendrils caused most of the micro destruction that no one would ordinarily see.

She orchestrated the pathway to their victory with those micro-movents. Subtle changes in the way their foes fought. Subtle openings that she exploited with glee.

This was simple tactics for her, and she was one to play the ball, quite well.

Luke chuckled slightly as he turned to Quirin.

“I always forgot how scary that girl can be.”

Quirin remained silent for a mont before nodding in response.

“There’s a reason why they let her be in class. Water Mage or not, she’s a….quirky one.”

They glanced at each other again, a subtle flicker in the depths of their eyes as they nodded in unison.

“Agreed.” They chorused.

Just then, a loud and cherry laughter broke through the air.

A contrast to the bloody the set around them.

Whipping their heads in the air, and tracing the direction. Their expression turned grim.

Above were two familiar figures hovering over the battle brawl below on a fluffy puff of cloud.

Rhett and Brett. In all their Monkey glory.

They got to the middle of the field where the Robed figures were seen Making a number on the Students. The Year Ones especially.

A blast of flas was seen pouring out the wand of one of the Robed figures. A forr female Mage Lecturer whose flas could rival that of Katherin.

It surged through the battlefield like a fla thrower, scorching the earth and burning the flesh of unrelenting students.

She advanced with steady steps. Making her way through the battlefield with a few more behind her. Throwing masses of energy balls and Elental artworks at the students.

This continued vice versa for a mont, until it didn’t.

Rhett’s lips curled into a tight smirk as his gaze shifted to Brett.

“See you in a bit?”

Brett groaned. “Mother won’t be pleased.”

“Oh, please! When has she ever?”

Without a second thought, he jumped into the air, the wind whistling in his ears as it perked with the flow of the wind.

His golden staff shimred with brilliance as its size enlarged in size and width.

In a matter of seconds, it had taken full shape and left a hollow shadow underneath the bottom.

It had beco evident what was about to occur, and the Robed figures, who glanced up in unison in confusion, failed to see it on ti.

The Robed Female Mage simply let out a loud scream, before it was swallowed to an inevitable end with the landing of the staff.

–BOOM!

An eruption of the earth and sound occurred from the impact, a crescent wave of energy erupting as it blasted the students back by a bit.

The sudden appearance of the staff caused a shift in the battlefield.

A powerful ally had dropped for one side, but a powerful foe had landed for the other side.

Either way, this shift would cause a major difference in the flow of the fight between the Robed figures and the Students.

In the blink of an eye, the staff shrunk to its regular size, and Rhett grabbed it. He took a sorsault in the air and landed on his two feet with a powerful thud.

Luke smirked and widened for a mont as he glanced beside him at his Deputy.

“Seems like we have a winner.”

Alia walked past them with a pained grunt. Her arm grabbed her side as blood oozed out from the battered armour.

“Seems so.” She said, “But it isn’t over yet. So keep pushing.”

The retaliation had begun to reach its inevitable end as the cycle of chaos continued.
