NORMAL POV.

Princess adow had begun the process of creating a potion.

Alchemy generally has three rules that must be followed before the process begins.

The process generally ans the series of changes the ingredients undergo before forming the final product, which, in this case, is a Healing Potion.

Firstly, the ingredients had to be specific to get the desired result and its conditions had to be in good shape to get any result. It would be impossible to brew a specific potion if its ingredients were damaged or inadequate in its numbers or amount.

Second was the fire. Different intensities lead to different results, but usually, the hotter the flas, the better the potion.

Thirdly was the alchemist or any form of practitioner of potion making.

The sort of technique they use can differ, and it can produce different results depending on how it is used and in what manner it is used.

Generally, there have been three alchemist thods that have been used over the years, but with ti ancient alchemist thods during the Demonic Age had been lost, and its produce were said to be at least ten tis as potent as compared to the potions of now.

The alchemic thod as they called it, got refined with ti, but the better thods had been lost.

adow Swanstrom was the princess of the Kingdom and also a book enthusiast since the day she started hearing others' thoughts.

The drive to understand what they said and what they ant served as a drive in her earlier days, and as a result, she learned a lot more things than she required and stumbled upon an ancient alchemic thod.

How well it worked depended on how efficient she was in using the thod and how well she prepared the ingredients.

A thod of using low-grade ingredients ant for low-grade potions to produce or concert high-grade potions.

This was sothing Raph wasn't aware of, and he found himself in a position he hardly even found himself in, an assistant.

With the instructions of the princess, he crushed and stirred the ingredients together when he needed to, adding preservatives in the amount she instructed and showcasing his results to her when he was done.

It was like two scientists working in the lab for an experint.

The sight alone caused a sensation of awe in the class, as everyone was srized by the sight.

The Princess seed efficient in her thods, transferring the boiled herbs and crushed animal ingredients into a conical flask, and placing it over the fire for it to get warm.

She carefully handled the utensils and equipnt and tasted the result with each step.

Lecturer Heartfillia found herself in a bind, and her thoughts began to run in overdrive.

'What? What is this thod?'. She thought, her gaze flickering in intensity at the sight that played out in her presence.

'Each step she takes exudes elegance and focus; the ingredients are being mixed differently, and she's tasting it halfway? Alchemists don't do that…it's not safe to taste a potion when it's still in its concoction process'.

A usual alchemic thod would have included a mixture of the herbs and animal ingredients separately and mixing them one by one, with the less volatile starting to offset any reaction that could occur.

The use of preservatives such as hydrogen chloride or sodium hydroxide served as a ans of offsetting the reaction that could occur.

Brewing them over the flas usually causes flas or sparks to emit, but so far, not a single fla has ford within the brew.

'This isn't a normal thod'.

She bit her lips at the thought, and a mix of emotions clouded her mind. On the one hand, she was excited to see the results and potentially discover a new alchemic thod, and on the other hand, she was scared by the fact that the princess and a mber of the Great family would take credit for this discovery.

'Could the princess have discovered an ancient text?'. She was lost in her thoughts, contemplating and thinking of all possible possibilities that could have led to that.

'Raffaelo Jun gaining any more standing in the Academy would be a hindrance, but the Princess having a stand at all would be more than just a hindrance…'

She turned away from the table, her gaze fixated on the sky through the window.

'....Hah….for the cult'

Turning her gaze back to the podium, the intensity within her eyes darkened, and her lips curled to a frown.

"Almost done," Princess adow announced, as she mixed the contents of two bottles of conical flask, one containing a white liquid and the other a green.

She then proceeded to turn them into the sa flask, and the intensity of the green color brightened.

Placing it on the table, she looked up at the Lecturer, her lips curled into a smile. "All done"

The class began a round of applause imdiately, and Raph, standing next to her, was a bit puzzled, but he joined in as well.

"Good work, princess," He said, standing next to her.

She tilted her head towards him, her smile widening. 'It's not over just yet,' She thought when the applause ended with Lecturer Heartfillia raising her hand in the air.

A brief mont of silence descended before she walked up to the table and picked up the potion from the table.

She inspected it for a minute then dropped it back to the table. 'Would you look at that? If the color is too bright, it won't be effective. Guess there won't be a need to switch the results'. She thought, sighing inwardly before she asked.

"....You should know this, but how do we differentiate a good potion from a bad one?"

"the intensity in its color. The darker it gets, the better the healing properties or, in general, the better the properties of the potion". Princess adow explained, picking up the conical flask from the table.

"...Good, and yours is even lighter than the one Zara concocted, so, what do you think that ans?" Lecturer Heartfillia pulled out her dagger and her sleeves.

She was about to repeat the process of stabbing herself and healing when Princess adow stopped her.

"Well then," She said, her gaze sparkling with a mischievous hue.

She held the conical flask over the fire, and in about five seconds, the potion caught ablaze.

This startled Lecturer Heartfillia into taking a few steps back, and Raph just watched with great interest.

This was sothing he had never witnessed before, in his two lives.

A few seconds later, the fire died down, and the intensity of the green color darkened raptly.

Lecturer Heartfillia bulged her eyes in shock and she took a step forward and grabbed the conical flask from her, withstanding the searing sensation of hot glass on her skin.

She inspected it for a mont, her eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"This thod…Where did you get this?" She asked, confusion and surprise etched in her voice, as she pulled up her sleeves and cut her skin.

She then proceeded to pour the liquid, and instantaneously, it healed before the blood could even dribble out.

"Amazing! What thod is this?!" She asked, her tone raised and filled with curiosity.

'This…this is extraordinary. It could change the whole dynamic of potion-making. It had two effects, and it can easily be switched to a better version…sothing like this could change the whole perspective of potion making ... .I need details'.

"I apologize, Miss. Heartfillia, but the details can not be revealed yet, and the thod is strictly forbidden under the initial rule; I'm afraid I won't be able to share anything more with you." Princess adow replied with a satisfied smile on her face.

She proceeded to clean her hands in a bowl that was placed there and whipped it off with a

"So, Miss. Heartfillia, we've created a healing potion as you have instructed, I get that our bet is still in place?" Raph asked. 'Though I didn't do much, this is all thanks to the Princess' He slowly took a glance at the princess, and his gaze flickered. 'A princess that knows alchemy? What could be weirder?' He thought when the princess turned towards him.

Her lips stretched into a smile startling him into looking away.

"...Yes, Yes, the bet…." Lecturer Heartfillia muttered, startled by his statent as if she had been snapped back to reality. 'Oh, that? Did they seriously think I would leave this school?'. She glanced at them, noticing their expectant expressions. 'Oh children, the world isn't all that black and white'.
