Chapter 7: Learning Beam Techniques, Find Ace
“You’ve indeed learned it, and your amplification power even surpasses mine!” Seven shook his arm, speaking earnestly.
“Is that so?” Mu Yang scratched his head. “What’s next, then!” He was enjoying racking up shock points here. The points he spent upgrading Ultra Punch to LV2 were a fraction of what he earned from using it.
“Alright, next is Ultra Kick!” Seven took a deep breath. If this guy dared to learn, how could he not dare to teach?
…
And so, Seven felt like he was being drained dry. All his physical combat skills were effortlessly mastered by Mu Yang, who reached his level in an instant—sotis even surpassing him.
What was a genius? He used to think his son Zero was a super genius, but now, eting Mu Yang, Zero paled in comparison!
Mu Yang’s performance was seen by the other Ultramans. Not only the onlookers but even Zoffy and the Father of Ultra, watching from afar, contributed plenty of shock points. This guy was a true super genius!
The Father of Ultra grew even more determined to nurture Mu Yang. Earth couldn’t always rely on Ultramans for protection. Mu Yang, with his Earthling identity—even if from another universe—was closer to Earth than they were, wasn’t he?
Mu Yang’s talent was the most remarkable he’d ever seen. With his help, the universe might find stability for a while.
Was Mu Yang a bad person? Ridiculous. With such pure light, how could he be?
The only concern was whether Mu Yang might turn dark. Thinking of his old friend, the Father of Ultra felt a pang of sorrow. If only Beliar hadn’t turned dark, the Land of Light wouldn’t be so short on top-tier fighters!
Even now, the Father of Ultra couldn’t understand why Beliar turned dark or why the Plasma Spark rejected him. He, Beliar, and Mary were the best of friends!
He gazed toward the cosmic prison near the Land of Light. Beliar, when will you co to your senses? Without you, I’m so lonely!
He decided he needed to et Mu Yang soon and warn him about the taboos. Darkness might bring great power but could easily lead to losing oneself, becoming soone unrecognisable.
“So, Teacher Seven, are you going to teach beam techniques next?” Mu Yang asked.
“No need to call teacher!” Seven shook his head. “Soon, I’ll have nothing left to teach you!” He felt this kid would surpass him in no ti, and he’d be too embarrassed to call himself his teacher.
“No, no, you taught all these combat skills! Calling you teacher is only right!” Mu Yang was a grateful person. Seven had taught him so much, and calling him teacher was no big deal.
This gave him so capital to survive in this universe, didn’t it?
“Is that so?” Seven looked at Mu Yang with appreciation. Worthy of soone with such pure light. He didn’t mind, but he appreciated it. “As for beam techniques, I can’t teach you those!”
“Huh?” Mu Yang looked at Seven, puzzled, then nodded in understanding. “Is it a family secret? That’s fine!”
He was already content. Learning so much from Seven, once he further developed his Light Creation God template, he’d probably beco a combat king!
“It’s not that. I can teach you basic beam techniques, but their power isn’t great—not even as strong as your punch. Powerful beam techniques are usually developed based on one’s own constitution. As for learning our beam techniques, I’m not sure if you can. I can help you develop your own, though! But my brother Ace is the expert in this field. I need to discuss it with him first,” Seven explained, shaking his head.
“Is that so? Thank you!” Mu Yang said sincerely. Ace, the infamous dismbernt maniac? If he taught him beam techniques, it could be pretty great!
“I’m off to look up so data. What are your plans? Head back, or stay here for a bit? Your residence is the place you were before,” Seven said, hoping Mu Yang would stay. He believed Mu Yang could befriend the Ultramans here.
“I’ll wander around here for now, but I can’t fly yet. Could you teach ?” Mu Yang said, sheepishly rubbing his nose.
The Land of Light was vast, sixty tis the size of Earth! Without flying, getting around would be a hassle.
“What?” The onlooker Ultramans were stunned. This Ultraman couldn’t fly? That was the most basic skill in the Land of Light!
This contrast made them even more shocked, flooding Mu Yang with a steady stream of shock points.
“Well, I forgot—you’ve only been an Ultraman for less than a day!” Seven said, embarrassed. He’d genuinely overlooked that.
This kid was just too monstrous, making Seven subconsciously forget he’d only just beco an Ultraman.
Footnotes:
分尸狂魔(fēn shī kuáng mó): Literally “dismbernt maniac,” a fan nickna for Ace in Chinese Ultraman communities, referring to his powerful beam techniques that can slice enemies apart, like his Ultra Guillotine. It’s a playful exaggeration of his combat style.
