Wang Longhu shook his head helplessly and then quickly leaped and swiftly left the place.
Gunshots, destruction of the site, dead bodies...
Any one of these things would be enough to attract the police’s attention, let alone multiple incidents overlapping.
Less than five minutes after Wang Longhu left, nurous police cars arrived, quickly surrounding the entire alley and prohibiting any outsiders from entering.
"Hey, Fifth Master, how are things on your side?"
Inside an old residential building, Wang Longhu leaned against the wall and called the Prince.
The call was quickly answered, and Fifth Master’s voice was heard.
"Longhu, are you alright?"
"Encountered a little trouble, but I’ve dealt with it. Fifth Master, where are you? I’m coming over now," Wang Longhu asked.
Fifth Master’s voice sounded relieved, "Red River District, I’ll send you the location. Co over, I’ve found a hideout. Even the Lu family people can’t find us."
Wang Longhu looked at his shoulder stained with blood and shook his head with so resignation.
With his current appearance, taking a cab to his destination was out of the question; otherwise, the driver would imdiately know sothing was wrong. If it got reported in the news, Wang Longhu’s whereabouts would be exposed.
Thus, Wang Longhu had to rely on his legs to find various small streets and alleys to successfully reach the Red River District that Fifth Master ntioned.
.....
"You bastard, I finally caught up with you. Been hiding for so long, don’t want to repay your debt, huh?"
"Beat him up, if he doesn’t repay today, he can forget about keeping that leg."
The Red River District is very old, obviously more than ten years old. Just as Wang Longhu climbed over the wall, he saw a group of thugs dressed as gangsters surrounding a young man in the nearby community flower bed, pressing him to the ground and beating him.
The young man’s face was already covered in blood, and even his eye sockets were swollen; he looked quite miserable.
Wang Longhu rely glanced at them and then looked away, having no interest in ddling in such trivial matters.
Arriving at the unit building Fifth Master ntioned, Wang Longhu quickly ran up to the fourth floor and found the apartnt.
With a knock on the door, an elderly man with white hair peeked out and asked, "Renting a room?"
"Yes."
"Co on in."
Wang Longhu walked inside, and the elderly man leading the way imdiately pulled off his wig: "It’s good that you’re okay. I was afraid the Lu family might have so influence in Vietnam. If they caught you, I wouldn’t know how to save you—huh... you’re wounded?"
Fifth Master noticed the bloodstain on Wang Longhu’s shoulder and was imdiately shocked.
He found it hard to imagine who could injure Wang Longhu, a Huajin Grandmaster, unless it was a confrontation with two Huajin Grandmasters at once.
"The Lu family’s people brought guns and caught off guard," Wang Longhu said casually.
As he tore open the shoulder of his clothes, a bullet hole that had stopped bleeding was prominently visible.
Fifth Master’s eyes narrowed slightly, "Do you need to get tools to extract the bullet shell?"
"No need," Wang Longhu shook his head, and his shoulder muscles started to move on their own, soon ejecting a blood-stained bullet shell that fell to the ground.
Fifth Master’s eyes were wide open at this scene; such thods could truly only be accomplished by immortals.
Huajin Grandmasters, familiar with every inch of muscle and every vein in their bodies, found these thods entirely trivial.
"Fifth Master, how did you find this place? Is it safe?" After tending to his injury, Wang Longhu asked.
"I can’t guarantee absolute safety, but it should be fine to stay here for a while. The owner is a Chinese; his son is addicted to gambling and owes a lot of money. The owner had no choice but to sell his own place. But no one wants to buy an old apartnt in this aging complex, so it hasn’t sold for months. I suggested they rent it to since they urgently need money—a little inco is better than none," Fifth Master explained.
Wang Longhu was silent; such a situation seed rather bizarre.
He was not interested in ddling in others’ affairs, and now that the Lu family’s matters have been settled, his priority was to swiftly deal with Qiao Qichong and Ma Bong.
Returning to the country as soon as possible would prevent any more unexpected developnts.
Bam bam bam!
Just as Wang Longhu was about to check the layout of the room, a sudden and urgent knocking sounded at the door.
Wang Longhu and Fifth Master exchanged a glance and then walked toward the door.
"Open up! Quickly open the door, you two old n, I know you’re in there. Open up and pay the debt, or I’ll smash this door and take anything valuable in your house."
Although he couldn’t understand their words, Wang Longhu clearly rembered that voice.
It was one of the thugs from the group he saw beating a person when he entered the Red River District.
"This wouldn’t be such a coincidence, would it?" Wang Longhu frowned.
Could it be that the person being beaten was the son of this household?
"Mom, Dad, I know I’m wrong. Just help repay the debt one more ti; otherwise, they’ll break my legs."
A voice speaking Mandarin followed, and the door was being furiously knocked again.
It was evident that these people ant what they said; if no one answered the door, they would really break it down and barge inside.
