"The Holy Grail shard was retrieved..."
Isolde held the Holy Grail shard in her hands, examining it with quiet curiosity. Despite the orcs' wild and beastly nature, they had shown surprising reverence for the Holy Grail.
There was no damage or flaw in the shard. After inspecting it for a while, Isolde carefully placed it back. With this shard, they now had three pieces of the Holy Grail.
Yet, the remaining fragnts were scattered across Aure's vast expanse. Isolde's mission for a long ti had been to gather the Holy Grail. The first shard was already with the Church. The second was with the elves, and the third had been held by the orcs.
Stealing from the elves had been easy. However, the orcs had proven unexpectedly cunning, even managing to trap the Priestess. It felt unbelievable, but it was true.
Even so, Isolde had escaped the trap and defeated the Emperor, retreating quickly to her domain afterward.
"I can still feel a great power..." Isolde glanced back at the palace with a strange look. Though her mind was turbulent, her face remained emotionless.
Her eyes narrowed as she instinctively stayed alert. The power emanating from the palace was beneath her own, yet it was growing stronger in a peculiar way.
Isolde found it surprising that the orcs could possess such power. As she observed the raw, untad Mana radiating from the palace, a bloody glint appeared in her eyes.
Her cold beauty was now accompanied by a murderous aura as it surrounded her. Knowing that the creature with the rising Mana was approaching her, Isolde did not move.
She understood now. The beast inside was coming for her. Step by step, a vile miasma spread across the desert, corroding everything it touched.
Light poured from Isolde's legs, spreading across the ground to repel the miasma, pushing back against the vile corruption.
"What kind of being are you?"
Isolde gazed at the armored figure erging from the palace, a presence causing chaos with its re existence. Despite its shattered and decrepit armor, sothing about the figure triggered her sixth sense into full alarm.
The Beast God growled deeply, giving his sword a slight flick. The motion caused the ground to quake violently, forcing Isolde to leap back.
As a dark miasma shot toward her in the form of an arrow, Isolde twisted her body with inhuman grace, evading the attack and landing lightly on her feet.
"Too dangerous," she muttered, narrowing her eyes as she drew her daggers. "You must be destroyed at once."
With a burst of power that cracked the ground beneath her, Isolde surged forward. Her speed was unmatched by most, far exceeding many of the greatest warriors.
Even so, the Beast God remained still, not out of hesitation but confidence. Just as Isolde's dagger neared his abdon, an overwhelming sense of danger gripped her mind.
Reacting instantly, she retreated as the Beast God's sword pierced the ground where she had stood.
"Great power, great reflexes, great swordsmanship..." Isolde's lips pressed into a displeased line.
The Beast God's swordsmanship was centuries ahead of its ti. Isolde had never encountered anyone capable of predicting and countering her attacks so flawlessly.
"This entity is far too dangerous. It must be eliminated imdiately." Her eyes glinted, and she launched another assault with even greater speed.
Dagger clashed against sword repeatedly. Despite his heavy armor, the Beast God moved with astounding speed and precision. From a distance, it might appear as though Isolde had the upper hand, but to her, the fight was evenly matched.
No matter how fast or relentless her attacks, the Beast God never stepped back. Instead, he continually forced Isolde onto the defensive.
When the Beast God swung his sword in a devastating downward strike, Isolde dodged out of its range, leaping into the air.
With a flurry of movents, she attacked his body with her dagger hundreds of tis in the blink of an eye. The Beast God's armor bore the brunt of the damage, with cuts and gouges appearing across its surface.
Expressionless, Isolde retreated as the Beast God dropped to one knee. Clutching his sword tightly, miasma surged from his wounds, rapidly healing his injuries.
A massive wave of Mana enveloped the Beast God, creating powerful gusts of wind. Despite the turbulence, Isolde's face remained emotionless.
"He's growing stronger..."
While analyzing the situation, Isolde watched as the Beast God rose once again, his eyes glowing more intensely than ever. From her perspective, he no longer seed angry but rather looked at her with sothing akin to respect.
Isolde couldn't understand it, nor did she care. Her only goal now was to utterly destroy the Beast God.
Closing her eyes, she released a radiant light that began healing the devastated landscape. In re monts, the desert was replaced by grass and trees, though the desert's curse quickly withered the renewed vegetation.
Her power surged dramatically as she tore off her priestess uniform. Beneath it was her true battle attire—a sleek, form-fitting outfit designed for speed and mobility.
The priestess uniform had been heavy and cumberso, with protective runes that slowed her down. In contrast, her battle gear allowed her to move freely.
The Beast God paid no mind to her transformation. Instead, he plunged his sword into the ground and mockingly gestured for her to co at him.
Narrowing her eyes, Isolde launched herself forward in a swift leap. As she slashed with her dagger, the Beast God t her attack with impossible precision, twisting his sword to counter her strike.
The two figures blurred as they moved at speeds imperceptible to the human eye. For the first ti, the Beast God was forced to retreat under Isolde's relentless assault.
Still, as skilled as she was, Isolde knew the battle was far from over. Each ti her daggers struck, the Beast God's miasma surged to nd the damage.
As Isolde pushed him back, she created a golden spear of holy light, hurling it at the Beast God with incredible force.
"Grraa!"
The Beast God roared as the light pierced him, but to her disbelief, he destroyed the holy light and retaliated with a devastating sword strike.
Leaping to a safe distance, Isolde watched as the Beast God's wounds healed faster than ever. His rage seed to amplify his power, shaking the entire battlefield.
"What is he doing?" Isolde frowned, glancing up as the sky darkened. Lightning flashed across the heavens, turning the once-clear sky into a chaotic storm.
"This power..."
For the first ti, Isolde felt genuine unease. Not even Thomas had made her feel like this.
Six crimson orbs of chaotic Mana appeared in the sky, forming a circle. A massive rune aligned with the orbs, creating an ancient spell of terrifying magnitude.
For a mont, all fell silent.
"The Divine Goddess is rciful..." Isolde murmured solemnly. She gazed at the Ancient Rune in the sky with a hint of concealed worry. Then, with a resolute expression, she knelt down to craft her counterattack, beginning her divine chant.
"Those who fail to see the rcy of the Light are blind and ungrateful..."
Contrary to the Ancient Rune in the sky, a smaller circle spread across the ground, illuminating everything with a radiant glow.
Yet, the disparity in power between the Ancient Rune and Isolde's created circle was palpable. Isolde grew more serious and continued her chant.
"Oh Goddess... Grant the power to eliminate the blind and ungrateful. Bestow upon your wrath so I may annihilate all in your na..."
The magical circle on the ground moved in tandem with the Ancient Rune in the sky, emanating a Mana so intense that it shook the entire realm.
This Mana was denser than the ti when the Angels of Heaven descended upon the world. For the second ti, the realm was suffocating under a terrifying force.
"Oh Goddess... The enemy is stronger this ti... Yet my faith in you is even stronger..." As the circle radiated overwhelming Mana, a massive energy began to gather in the center of the Ancient Rune, flowing from the Mana Orbs.
"Y-y-y-you're s-s-s-strong..." The chaotic, genderless voice of the Beast God montarily distracted Isolde. She hesitated briefly upon seeing the Beast God observing her with interest instead of attacking, but she quickly resud reinforcing the circle. Continue reading on empire
Though she couldn't fathom the Beast God's plans, she had no ti to ponder it now. As the circle neared its final stage, the Ancient Rune above was ready as well.
"Never forget, my child. The strongest of the New World are but insects before the Old World..." The chaotic voice echoed mockingly, almost disdainfully, in Isolde's ears.
"Now be a good girl and disappear from my sight..."
A terrifying red beam descended from the Ancient Rune, firing directly at Isolde. She imdiately countered with her own attack.
The two forces collided in the sky like atomic explosions. Isolde's golden beam clashed relentlessly with the Beast God's red beam, creating utter chaos.
The intense vibrations shook the entire desert; even at the outskirts, the glass windows of hos shattered, and within the desert, every creature knelt in terror at the overwhelming power.
Those with weaker wills fainted as the two beams battled for dominance. Seizing the mont, Isolde used the opportunity to escape swiftly.
The Beast God rely watched as the priestess fled. Monts later, the red beam overpowered the Holy Golden beam, striking the ground. An explosion erupted, reducing the palace and much more to dust.
A radius of five kiloters was entirely devastated by the beam's impact, leaving a massive swath of destruction. Fierce winds generated by the blast swept to the far ends of the realm, leaving people trembling.
Within the five-kiloter radius, two kiloters were completely obliterated, while the remaining area bore significant damage.
The explosion alard power centers across the realm. Yet, at the heart of the destruction, the Beast God stood unscathed.
Sensing that Isolde had survived, the Beast God simply remained still.
"Strong, but nothing more than a re ant before ..."
Then, the Beast God's form slowly dissolved into miasma, leaving the ruins behind.
